Thank you for making the time on recording such great cars both of them the Camaro and the firebird you know my heart is with the Firebirds thank you for the shout out you are 100% correct I am crazy about the Firebirds and Mr Wilson did a great job on that car it doesn't matter that everything on the firebird was not. Also one other thing I just wanna thank you for keeping me motivated. I have restored a few cars for other people but now I’m retired It’s time to build for myself. I’m currently building an exact replica to the 72 Torino in the movie Gran Torino. It is an original 42,000 mile car. It has two build sheets, bucket seats, 351 cobra jet. I am about 65% through the rough metal replacement and bodywork. I live about two hours north east of Edmonton Alberta in Canada. It is very cold in the winter. My garage is not heated so I’m limited to doing work from about the middle of May till end of September. I should have all the bodywork done this year ready for paint and I will rebuild the engine. Like I said watching your show keeps me motivated. Keep up the good work and let’s see you do that Mustang.
@@KeithBedard That’s an awesome car! Please keep me posted on how it’s going and would love to see it. I always say these cars are so doable, a lot of work but doable LOL. I can’t wait to start on the mustang. I know it’s a fastback and a lot of purists are not going to like what I do with it but I don’t think it’s going to kill the value of it. I’m going to Restomod it with a Godzilla motor and 6 speed automatic transmission. It should be a lot of fun and headache at the same time but will see. Thank you as always👍🏼AL
Hey Al, I know you read a lot of the comments you already replied to me once I sure appreciate that really love the channel. That’s awesome Al you just do whatever you want to do if people have an issue with that that’s their problem. I’ve had many different cars over the years. My wife had a 69 Camaro convertible. I’m embarrassed to say I’ve probably had in the neighbourhood of 80 cars. Not all muscle cars, but every kind of car even school buses motorcycles I am 58 years old I was in the entertainment business for many years, but always loved cars. When I retired I got into the car business eventually running the largest muscle car store probably in Canada at the time. It’s so funny having so many cars but never really keeping them long enough to call them your own. Sounds very strange but the cars that are most exciting are the ones that you have spent a special time or occasion driving. I’ve driven some of the most expensive muscle cars in the world yet it’s crazy to say one of my favourite cars of all time was the one that I dated my wife in 30 years ago. In 1983 they produced a black and red hurst Oldsmobile in 84 it was reversed colors. It was silver with the burgundy interior. That is the one that I had wasn’t very fast had a 307 but it had those neat three gear shifts hurst, lightning rods. and then I was lucky enough to own a 1965 original Shelby, which unfortunately I sold about 24 years ago should’ve never done that lol. Just like you I’m starting to feel my age and health lol. This Torino was my dad‘s car. It will be the last restoration. I will do. Definitely will try to figure out how to send you pictures of some of the cool cars that I have owned over the years thanks once again.
