    Thank you for the video! I had to go through 5 other videos before I found this one. I'm sure I speak for a lot of people when I say most of us aren't looking to spend $400+ for a hobby we're not sure we'll keep doing throughout the years. Really appreciate you taking the time to review all these keyboards and make a list of them. The Casiotone CT S300 & CT X700 really caught my eye.

    I have an e-463 for almost a year and I am very satisfied with it, it has enough in its stomach not to change it right away. Most make a toy in comparison. I recommend it. Quality / price ratio unbeatable, this is only the opinion of an e-463 owner ;)

      @Jeremy See ... what do you recommend for a 88 key beginner Workstation, that will be under $700?

    • @jjacob25101
      @jjacob25101 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@shevajoon I don't think there are any workstations with 88 weighted keys under $700 unless you find someone selling a used on. Even the 76 key workstations are pretty expensive.
      The best that I could recommend is the Roland Juno DS61, but it's $800 with 61 keys. The 76 and 88 key versions cost more. Thrre are other workstations from Yamaha, and other companies, but I would have to check them, and recommend the Roland as the closest to that price and are familiar with Roland. All the other keyboard workstations, especially in 76 and 88 key versions cost a lot more.

    • @shevajoon
      @shevajoon 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jjacob25101 Thank you very much for your recommendations. I will look into them all. Yea, I wish it did, but seems that all 88 key workstations are usually more expensive. Makes sense, since they are more professional level keyboards. And so much could be done with it.

The stage and grand piano voices sound very beautiful despite being a low-price keyboard. I tried the ct-s300 on the music store, and it is a toy compared to this one. Thanks for the info, Jeremy

    I can not read music, I can not play the piano. I want to learn but I also want to "buy once, cry once". I only have an interest in piano. Are the CT-X700 and PSR-EW373 (EZ300 as well) worth it over the Donner DEP-20 for classical music? I only plan on playing classical music on piano as I am not a musician, just a Joe Blow looking to learn something new during Covid. My ultimate goal is to learn Moonlight Sonata, third movement. That seems to be the piano equivalent of a rock star! Thank you for all your help and knowledge!

      I have had several keyboards and synthesizers, including a Roland Fantom X6 keyboard workstation. I am a technical person, but everytime I get a new keyboard, drum machine, digital audio recorder, or even my flagship smartphone, there is so much to learn.

    hello Jeremy, I've seen your video about reviewing many keyboards, but I'm still confused about choosing between the Yamaha PSR E273 or Yamaha E360. what I know from the video is the difference in the soft touch feature. I chose these 2 types because in my country these 2 types have the exact same price and are within my budget (± $ 165) to buy my son who is interested in starting to learn the keyboard. Thank you for the advice

      Get the Yamaha PSR-E373, it's the greatest bang for the buck, with the Casio CT-S300 as a close second for $50 less.

    Hi. Love you videos and I'm hoping you can give me your advice.. I had a Yamaha psr363 that went bad.. I can pose my own music I am not a beginner player. I am on a budget and I want to get a portable keyboard that includes beats. I've looked and I'm just not sure which one.. if you could please maybe throw out some ideas of a few that would be good I would appreciate it.. I only use the grand piano sounds so I'm also looking for which brand has the best piano sound with sustain included. (not having to use a pedal)

    Hi Jeremy, I've been watching so many of your videos recently and have been really tempted to try get into playing a keyboard. I simply can't decide which of these to get. For a complete first timer, which would you recommend?
    Yamaha PSR-E373
    Yamaha PSR-EW310
    Yamaha EZ300
    Casio CT-X700
    Keeping in mind that I have no previous experience at all.

      If you need the lighted keys. Get the EZ300. I believe it's otherwise the same as the PSR-E373. Or get the PSR-E373, unless you want the bigger 76 key keyboard, then get the EW310.

    Hi Jeremy See!
    I appreciate your clip! I have just bought the Yamaha PSR-E373. I'm new to piano. However, I cannot play To Zanarkand of FFX because the sheet, which I got, has a wider range of octaves. I search online and see that we can transpose the sheet. How can I do that to be able to play "To Zanarkand" on the PSR-E373?

      Professional workstations may be owned or used by Jeremy, but bssically is outside of the parameters of when he does on TH-cam, and the complications take a lot of time snd effort when there are probably a lot of videos, or resources from the manufacturers that explains them best, because that is what those people specialize in for the videos that they create.

    Hi jeremy! I really want a beginner keyboard for a very low budget, what do you think about the casio CT S100? Is it really bad that i have to go for the CT S200 instead? One more question, are these keyboards capable of playing classic songs like ode to joy and für elise? It would mean alot for me if you could answer.

    • @jjacob25101
      @jjacob25101 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would say go for the CT-S200 at the least, or even the CT-S300 for the touch sensitive keys and pitch bend wheel. And yes, the classical music will sound better on the CT-S300 with the touch sensitive keys when you are proficient enough with your playing to control the dynamics.

  • @pellared
    @pellared 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Thanks a lot for this and other videos. Today I finally bought Casiotone CT-S300. I chose it because of its dynamic keys, portability and quite a low price. I was struggling if I should not buy Yamaha PSR-E373 instead. However, CT-S300 is smaller and easier to replace between rooms + hide from kids if necessary :)

      @@J10-f4s I don't know too much about keyboards either, but I'm pretty sure, dynamic keys mean touch sensitive keys (volume of a note depends on the force with which a key is pressed). It's great to have as it brings life to the music

    Hi Jeremy. After watching many of your very helpful videos, I decided to go for the ctx700 as a Christmas present for my little son who is 5 years old and LOVES the SOUND of the piano and drums (and happens to be a BIG BIG FAN of YANNI since he was 1 year old, and Toto).
    I hope he will enjoy playing the piano as well as the sounds of the drums and other instruments, and have fun exploring the other features. I love the piano sound of the ctx3000 but think the ctx700 would be a good choice for my little son (who besides 2 months of piano classes a year ago once a week on a ctk1500, he is an absolute beginner).
    THANK YOU JEREMY!!! Wish you Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!!! From Lima, Perú.
    P.D. I think The Yamaha PSR-E373 would also be a great choice as a gift for my little son, but it is not yet available in my country. And Christmas is here.

      @@JeremySeeThe touch response keys, the quality of the piano sound, and the included LESSON FEATURE made me decide for the Ctx700. If my little son really have fun and wants to learn more, after some time we could probably afford to upgrade it to a Casio Ctx-3000 or a Yamaha PSR-E373 both with GREAT SOUND and more advance features!
      Jeremy, are there Piano Lessons that you recommend and would help a complete beginner 5 year old to learn how to play the piano?
      Thank you so much for your GREAT VIDEOS and helping people to find the keyboard that best suits our expectations and our budget. I have no knowledge at all about keybords until my son showed interest in them. And it is really challenging trying to figure out which one to buy at first.
      Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
