With Aerith we actually had to switch up our tactics a bit for this fight. Rather than just mindlessly beating him down while ignoring most of his attacks, we have to actually try to stop his ultimate ability. So the trick is to pressure him out of ice/fire forms by striking him with fire/ice spells (whichever he is weak to at the time). We let him attune lightning. It's scary when he goes in to lightning form, but his attacks are relatively easy to dodge, and you can reduce the damage with the Barrier Materia. Once he has lightning attuned he won't use it again so you only have to worry about it that one time. After that as long as you don't let him attune fire or ice you won't have to deal with his ultimate ability, so you just repeatedly beat him down with spells while he is in elemental forms, and make sure to keep your MP topped off using soul drain. For solo fights against the summon I like it a lot. Aerith is really slow so when you need to get back to your ward to fire off spells it’s great. Also a lot of melee bosses will push you off the ward so being able to teleport back to it is great again. And then the start is fast enough that you can dodge some slower attacks with it as well. So overall I’d say it’s a great ability, and it’s free, doesn’t require atb I think you should be using it all the time.
More than anything I want to know how you get that ost to play for the summon/boss battle. I just always get a different one. Is it something that changes after you beat it first time?

When you have elemental on armor. You don't take damage from the attack at all, i though it was just the magic attack Why you didn't you the more powerful firaga and blizzara. Wouldn't that have been better
At this point the 2nd elemental materia isn't rank 2 at minimum (if its even available during gongaga), though I'm not sure lightning immunity would stop the stun/paralysis the lightning attacks tend to cause. As for higher tier spells, he's using the combo materia which take a lot more AP to rank up so he simply doesn't have tier 3 spells yet

you have a cheat enabled for blocking!!! its apparently too automatic, Aerith doesn't block that fast!! ICBS
