This was by far the easiest legendary so far, got it first try thanks again Optinoob.
I'm not looking forward to the last two Legendary ten round Combat Simulations. Those will either make or break my Platinum run. Either way I think I'm quitting on April 25th to play Fallout 4. I need a vacation from Final Fantasy VII Rebirth!
can't out run bird on round 5
Put down a 2nd ward (radiant ward) and set it miles away from your arcane ward. Use ward shift to hop back and forth

One slight change I'd do is using thundaga on hecteyes since you've got thunder with elemental. That way if you mess up the timing of it losing reflect, you'll just get healed and not KO'd.
This just happened to me LOL. Instant death 🤦🏻♂️
I saw this after I had Blizzaga reflected. But I got the timing right the second time. Genius tactic.

That damn hectite put his shield up right after he took it down and I died. Ugh! Only took 3 tries. Bad RNG is all. Thank you so much!
Got to Quetzalcoatl so many times, RNG was a pain. Constantly doing physical attacks on me. Got so annoyed with it the next time I got to him I threw a Radiant Ward on top of the Arcane Ward and went ham on it. Built 2 ATBs, Blizzaga'd and repeat. The Radiant Ward is really great, managed to push the stagger bar and also helped to build the ATB back.
The Radiant Ward in general is massively helpful. Aerith's basic attacks are generally weak, so the Radiant Ward negates that, even in normal battles. One of her best weapon abilities in my opinion, alongside the Arcane Ward, ATB ward and Lustrous Shield.

I did this for Yin and Yang actually. Dropped Arcane and Radiant immediately at the start and if Yang I would just spam square til stagger and then nuke with blizga. If Yin then hope the parry gods bless me. lol

Yet again thanks bud, another one bites the dust. little tip though, its very hard to dodge prey. I mean VERY hard, as in I could not pull it off and wiped five times before I learned to always run away from the arcane ward so you can use it to teleport to it at the end of prey, so I would attack and build ATB, but run and use triangle to teleport when he got close with prey or headlong charge. Finally did it though largely because of using your guide.
if anyone wonders and wants to do it before you get the genji gloves like me it works perfectly fine without them i just used Chocobo Kings Cape instead to be able to use the wards etc faster just takes a bit longer but not a problem at all

Did it. Great strat. U have to be quick with ice on the blob. If u wait a few seconds reflect is up and i got killed by a spell. Round 5 needs a bit of practice. Took me around 30 mins to get it. Great vid!

Thank you so much! Your guides got me through all the brutal challenges and all way through the legendary ones, and even made using Aerith easy!
The only tip I would give is on Yin and Yang, if Yang is first, throw up your shield, then build up a bar and drop a radiant ward you can stagger him before he switches. Make sure to drop your arcane ward and firaga him to death. Super fast.
Even when I first tried this I thought it would have been the hardest .. but this was light work once you leverage the Arcane Ward and ice .. add Radiant Ward for more security.. also I did this without the Genji (don't have it) .. so def easy .. easier than Barrets Adamantoise Nightmare for sure 😮💨

If you are like me and got out the Blizzaga for the Hecteyes right after it recast Reflection, and died, try using Blizzara instead. It immediately staggered the Hecteyes and I was able to build another ATB and kill it with one Blizzard before the stagger bar depleted.

You made a comment that Aerith ATB charges slow. I feel that’s only in Rebirth. I swear it went up faster in Remake, but I could be wrong
For the "yin and yang" and hecteyes the better way is cast radiant ward for better movement, fast atb charge and fast stun, after radiant ward you can also cast arcane ward and if you cast in radiant ward you invulnerable
That is all a bit more complicated though, i played with her abilities, the simplest and effective way is this. ATB boost, arcane ward, block Yin, use basic attack, Fire lv3 and dead, doesnt get any simpler, when you just block, what do we need better movement for??? And Shield blocks ice!!
All that you speak off is good if you dont have a means to finish the fight off quick and know it will take a while, we end them with 1 attack!!
Attacking Yin with fire makes the stun obsolete, im sure most going for that strategy, dont realise Yin goes down mega fast!!
@@Optinooby that strategy is safer, I'm not saying that your strategy is bad, just a slightly safer way if someone doesn't even work out that way

On the hectaeye, i run backwards just like you did but insteed i cast radiant ward and then arcane. Then i fill up 2 atb and use ray of judegement i almost staggers hectaeyes right away. Once staggerd it loses its reflect ( have hard time reading the small text above it's head) and is open for kill 😁

That last one. All it uses it Prey, right off the bat. Over and over. I LOATHE playing as Aerith. 🙄

I haven't tried this yet but is it not worth putting ele on your double element materia in your armor slots and not having to worry about casting Lusterous Shield at all?

In case anyone isn't aware, if you cast Radiant Ward, anyone standing in it is immune to damage while casting a spell. So if you're timing your casting properly, you can easily kill any enemy
All of those guides from Hellions Intonement up to here really helped me to get through as to get little knowledge on what to look at for materias! I also love the simplicity of the explanations, so thank you!

Soo.. 99% of this guide worked. Until I got to the Hecteyes & I used Blizzaga which caused insta-death on myself.. Guess after its shield wore off, it re-activated Reflect before I hit it. So on my second attempt I just waited until he was staggered (Which is pretty easy to do) until I decided to try that again just to be safe.
This happened to me too. Idk when the dispel wears off 😂
One more down first try!!! On to red xiii and vs the beasts

I had to do this fight twice because I had bad RNG with Hectayes: He did Blizzaga twice in a row then Fireaga so I died instantly lol. This guide did help me beat it, thank you

Managed it. Beat round 5 on my first attempt. Just had to manage to block the Drain spell at the right moment in round 4.
Yin & Yang, only beat them times when Yang woke up immediately.
I'm trying to find the video where you said magic focus doesn't stack. Do you remember which video?
No sorry, why? I think they may work together if you take off Magic Up, but with everything on, a 2nd Magic Focus seems to do nothing really. I may not have mentioned it, just at some point, you noticed i had stopped doing it

Blizzard is super easy to dodge. It has a super slow delayed reaction. Lusterious shield is a good idea though.
Yea, its more a safety net, Thundara can be dodge too, but thats more tricky i find, hence the aborb
I got turned into a statue after getting hit by drain, so if even you have enough hp, you die automatically.

I messed up only once perfect guide
Took almost 90 minutes for me using your strategy. My biggest problem was that 4th round. Even when not marked as having reflect, I found my blizzagas bouncing back.
My solution was to switch out the chakra for subversion. I would also put down a radiant ward and then cast dispel. Soon after, he would stagger and my blizzaga would take him out.
Same thing for me. Blizzaga kept bouncing back so the first time I tried this method it worked.
This one was surely the most easiest

Small tip: just as an insurance, I changed chakra with barrier. The 5th fight against Jabberwock I used it not to get one-shot if I was not paying enough attention to block his physical attacks. Chakra could be "sacrificed" since he will then replenish your hps thanks to his thunder-based attacks and, in case, you can manage to build up a limit and use healing wind to cure

Tips from my experience in case they help anyone
Tipless tip: First and second round are pretty much easy although the RNG can be bad on yin and yang
Tip; yin and yang can be stopped (double check tho I'm tired)
Hecteyes: When the eyes enemy uses soul drain, stop whatever you're doing and quickly Dodge twice to the left or the right it worked for me every time. Also if you are confident enough to go without chakra materia you can throw in a subversion and breach the shield
The two giant blue blobs can be taken out without an arcane Ward if you lure them into a diagonal position and use magnify blizzaga they will become staggered, you can build up one ATB and use fira to take them out
For the final enemy:
The vortex attack is just at its feet it will damage you so be sure to be far away
The electro diffusion attack will heal you with the lightning elemental
Dodge away from the ability prey as noted here
At the beginning of the round for the final enemy I casted radiant Ward and avoided its abilities real quick then I staggered it threw down an arcane Ward and distorted with level 3 spell
(These beginner tips are helping me. I usually watch two different videos also so that I can get an alternative strategy for one of the monsters if I'm not good at another one but this channel has the best beginner friendly builds and carried me through most of hard mode)
Once I'm done with all of these I will be able to shut up for a while LOL

These guides have come in really handy. Whilst I might not be following the builds fully, there are some similarities. They’re great for planning based on what enemies are coming up and getting a visual of what I can block and what needs to be dodged before I start the fights.
aerith is nearly the most powerful character. the issue is her atb generation is the slowest in game so id put yuffie at top all day long for range and tifa for melee.
Opti I gotta say watch your rhetoric because you can wait for Hecteyes to drop Reflect but what you should do which you were close to doing is just staggering it. Dropping relfect you build stagger insanely fast. The monster is basically a paper tiger. Instead of waiting for him to drop reflect just keep attacking during his stagger. You can even apply Radiant Ward to ensure your basic attack drops him faster and THEN you don't have to worry about it immediately repplying reflect or having the lingering effects of the dispel kill you because you were too fast.
Stagger first then nuke

Thanks for another banger video, the only problem I had was getting the timing down for ward shift and prey. Once you get that Dow q melts easily, also when it comes to yin/yang if yin is the start just block the whole time. You’ll get to the red but he’ll switch that’s when you pop shield and arcane in that order (also get behind it because he may move) and build atb and keep attacking after 2 atb because you might stagger him. Cast firaga when he’s stun or the cs for his switch happens, that’s how I got it to work every time
Also radiant ward makes you immune to damage during cast and builds atb quicker. The multi eyes blob can be breached at the beginning to remove reflect and radiant ward Square attacks stagger it very fast.
This was done first try with your method, mate. I hated Aerith because her dodge is so slow but this with the ward shift, was 3.14. Easy as pie! Cheers mate! Legend!

I got this done this morning cait sith took me 3 goes just because of RNG. On the 2nd run it was like the moogle never existed. 😂 the 1st run the mindflayer wouldn't stop casting red balls and wrecked me but on the third try he didn't cast it at all and wanted to marry my moogle.

Aerith one was sweet the easiest out of the lot did it 1st time
For Aerith against Yin & Yang ATB Boost Arcane Ward and Run arround. If he starts physiscal Attacks use Ward Shift. As he said, if he Transform to Yang Fire Level 3 build Atb after that and 1 Ray of Judgement should finish him. For Hecteyes be aware he can also Spawn on your Arcane Ward this is where u can start again the Challenger. Otherwise this Guide helped also.

I've been following your guides and they have been very helpful, but this one still gave me a lot of trouble. It wasn't because I kept on getting hit and needed chakra to heal, it was because I have no patience against the purple slime thingy, and right as I fire off a spell it would end up taking me out. So I took out chakra and used Subversion to help with its immunity to magic.
Done it first time round thanks to this walkthrough to! Absolutely epic battle guide. Without your help I’d be so stuck on this!

Hecteyes is the ABSOLUTE WORSE enemy in this challenge. The only way of knowing which elemental affinity he can absorb is by remembering which elemental attack he uses before he drops the shield cause if you use the spell he can absorb then he'll not only absorb it but bounce it back to you to KO you. Also, sometimes you likes to use Firaga and immediately follow it up with drain. Even if you can block the Firaga with Shield Ward, when Drain comes out and you're in the shield ward from blocking the last attack, you don't have enough time to dodge that attack from potentially one-shot you if your health is low enough. Other than that the other rounds were decent enough to figure out.
