It's funny that with heavy hitters like Odin and Bahamut the Chocobo and Moogle summon scared me the most. 7:00 "What's the canary gonna do? lay and eg- OH MY GOD!!" I had a flashback of chicken attacks from legend of Zelda
5:37 was that the Excalipoor? Is that why he looked at it funny and it didn't do anything of all his weapons? I still remember that from back in the day. Interesting.
Man I knew Ifrit, Shiva, Ramuh, and Leviathan would be amazing like in the previous game. But Titan, Alexander, Odin, Kujata, Phoenix, Gilgamesh, and Bahamut Arisen are you F****** kidding me!? Holy cow! Once again Sykioh, you have showed off your brilliance and expertise of certain details that others have missed. What do you plan to do for the next video? I’m as curious as a cat. I know the video wasn’t much but the choice of music and scenery is what makes it better for me
i watched this to see what the summons would look like compared to their designs in ff16 and saw how their moves have the same names as the moves that you can unlock when you absorb their powers in ff16 which they didn’t have to do so in ff16 and could’ve named them something different but it’s nice that they used the same names. also it gave me a look into on what leviathan would have looked like in ff16 since it’s hinted that leviathan (both eikon and dominant) were lost along side its mother crystal long before the game starts. also, it was surprising to see that odin has an almost completely opposite color scheme compared the one he has in ff16.
Those are their iconic moves through the entire series, it would've been pretentious to give them new names. That's Odins standard colour scheme, FFXVI gave him dark colours to reflect on the "Eikon of Darkness" aesthetik. And good news for you: Leviathan is coming for the second DLC of FFXVI. Can't wait to see it!
@@solracstormhunter3023Leviathan also looks to be white with hints of maroon towards her mouth and spine fins. Curious to see her moves. And if it will top ff15 Leviathan.
@@Chippy247 I've been thinking about what classes would the popular Eikons have, if they had human shape and in Leviathan's case, I imagined it to take the Samurai class. A tall, blue-haired female Ronin with Tifa-coloured/red-eyes, Koi-orange/red Hakama and a version of Masamune in a blue-scaled sheath.
might just be me, but I wish the animation/camera for the summons in-game was a bit slower. I get that they make it fast so the action does not get interrupted. But its just a bit too fast to my liking to admire the gorgeous looks of the game. Summons have been largely about presentation after all. Big damage but also big spectacles.
I can't wait for part 3 so I o can see if they add hades and definitely knights of the round. You summon king Arthur with his light sword skills then for the finish he summons his knights that each atk with a different weapon. Not too crazy long though like the original.
One thing i really like about Summons in Remake and Rebirth is that they feel like there actual summons and not just spells with way too long animations like in the original FF7.
Waiting for Garuda, Diabolos and Quetzalcoatl to appear in part3. Gilgamesh's new six-arms form, seems like the closest thing to Asura's reappearance nowdays. 😅
the first one debuted in 3 as a boss, being a summon only in 11, 15, and an Eikon in 14, with 16 being a Summoned Beast and a Move set The 2nd and 3rd debuted in 8, with Quetzacoatl not making an apparition as a Summon ever since 8.....except in 14 as a Raid Boss
Quetzacoatl is a boss fight in this game. Typhoon, Bahamas Zero, Hades, and Knights of the Round are the only new ones left. Unless they want to have a couple downloaded summons like maybe Atomos.
@@Miguelus well I understand that Bahamut evolve into Arisen/Neo Bahamut so it's acceptable I guess but those three or two are still part of Gag Summon similar to Crisis Core
That was just one of the three forms of Bahamut. Bahamut Arisen is just the second one. Bahamut Zero is the last one (But that one will be in the next game)
Seeing this has unfortunately taken away a lot of my enthusiasm for this game. I liked the old summons much better. The camera angles on these are way too close, way too quick, and make it hard to even see what is going on. This could have been done so so so much better...
these are crap compared to the originals on the ps1 the designs look ok but the sound and animation are weak the sound effects on the ps 1 were powerfull these just sound weak
I like how Gilgamesh was considering use Excalipoor but decided not to instead.
should have him throw it, since thats the only method excalipoor does more than 1 dmg.
I thought that blade was one of the Royal weapons from FF15.
He’s gotten smarter😱
Gilgaymeh
“I’ve been dying to see you.”
Not sure if that would be sarcasm or foreshadowing.
god the presentation in this game is insane, they go so hard with these summons it is crazy
16 goes harder

Just when I think Bahamut can’t get any more visually and audibly stunning, they one up themselves
Between this and his FF16 appearance (plus him finally casting Zettaflare), Bahamut's been having a pretty good decade.
@@theinspiredgamer1949pretty good decade. Bro has been having it good since ff1
There ain’t a game like here square doesn’t make him the highlight
It's Neo Bahamut not Bahamut
This Bahamut animation may be one of the weakest
I love how cait sith just break dances to summon
And song the horn when summon do their ultímate atack...xD
Finally odin horse got 8 legs
5:37 was that the Excalipoor? Is that why he looked at it funny and it didn't do anything of all his weapons? I still remember that from back in the day. Interesting.
Yuppp it is lol
It's really cool because Gilgamesh is the same throughout all of his appearances.
Not all of them. If I'm remembering correctly, the Ff15 Gilgamesh is supposed to be a different being from the mainline Gilgamesh.
Now, all that is left is Neo Bahamut, Bahamut Zero, Typhoon, and Knights of the Round
Edit: And Hades. Forgot about him.
Don't forget hades
Neo Bahamut IS Bahamut Arisen
And hades
Phoenix with Aerith 😃
Yoshi: runs over
Chocobo: also runs over
They’re both so similar!
Great, now we want the Knights of Round in Part 3!
And hades
Please no, at least not unless they explicitly lock it behind Ruby Weapon, or else nerf it to bring it in line with the rest of the Summons.
When either one of the party members summons Ifrit, they could have said this line, “Come to me, Ifrit!”
lul, Shiva still has plate armor, and people said SE was changing.
It may be surprising for this Gen but
Seeing the summons thru the game was one of eye candy motivations to even play thru the game !

I still think FF15 had the most epic summons. They really felt like you were harnessing the power of gods.
Yeah, they'd get their own epic music and there's just an overall tone-shift.
If you think that was wild then ff16 blows it out of the water
Alexander @ 3:22 : DEMOCRACY IS NON NEGOTATABLE
Nice Sykioh. Will you show Dragons Dogma 2 Movesets ❤
I haven't gotten the new Bahamut yet but am I to assume Arisen is his evolved form?
It is. I think it’s the new name for Neo Bahamut from the original version. Because his signature move is Gigaflare.

What happent with normal Bahamut.I know FF 7 have 3 Bahamut.Normal,Arisen and Zero.
Wish they had the same summons from ff7 with the and kind of incoming effects
Now imagine knights of the round
Are the only summons left are Knights of the Round, Hades and Typhoon?
Also Bahamut ZERO
Bahamut arisen is bahamut genesis. I wonder what would they call to bahamut zero?🤔
Bahamut is absolutely insane
Anyone wanna see Knight of Rounds Summon on Rebirh version ? 😂

I think Gilgamesh’s katana slash was inspired by MUMYOU SAKANAGARE
I hope they add these summons to future expansions for ff16
Where is the original Bahamut from FFVII Remake? Can we get it in FFVII Rebirth?
Normal Bahamut is not in Rebirth because he was replaced by Neo Bahamut.
2:26 oh the irony 😂
So does bahamut arisen replace normal bahamut?
Yes
Why they remove Cactuar, Carbuncle and Fat Chocobo? 😢😢😢

Where's base Bahamut?
Resting in peace in Midgar
he didn't pay the toll
They were abit to short and felt lacking tbh, past FF games had more of an impact feeling especially Bahamut
Bahamut is cool but man they messed up odin :(
Grasslands Wolf: 👁👄👁
Wait, where the F is Ramuh at??? Like where do you find him?
You have to have a save file from the Remake dlc. If you do, you'll start the game with him.
They add 3 new summons n got rid of 2 great ones
Hades & Knights
I feel like Titan should be bigger.
They ruined chocabo and moogle like literally if it’s not broke don’t fix it miss that end animation when he picked him up
Final Fantasy 17😊
Found the summons limits to be underwhelming overall
I like how they didn't show the most extraordinary summon - Knights of the Round
They will be in FF7 Re(master), or whatever the Name of the third will be.
I got a special summon from a Popeyes meal
