I love these new kinds of videos! I love seeing you experiment and personally I never get bored of plant chores so however it keeps it interesting for you I'm here to watch! 😋
I'm so excited to see your take on this trend! Your plant chore kind of chatty videos are so fun to watch while I take care of my own plant chores. Thank you for motivating me and keeping me company 🖤
Fern struggling to put that moss pole together is me doing anything 😂. Also loving your more frequent content your videos are always relaxing and informative!
I just found you and your channel is my new fav thing! I literally put your videos on to wind down from the day or while I do homework! I love seeing all your different hair styles throughout your videos 😭🫶🏽🥰
That was super fun! Turns out those plants needed the repot anyways. I just love the exotica, mine finally has a new leaf from 2 cuttings and the leaves are big and beautiful! Another video should be the one plant chores not voted for 😂
I Love the Planta app! I found it fairly early in my plant journey and it has helped me to keep track of everything and keep up a good watering routine. I haven’t really used the Notes part but that seems like a great way to keep track of pest treatments or propagation experiments so thanks for the idea😊
I would love an update on your ikea plant cabinets, what shelving you like the most, the grids you use, or other gadgets you utilize in it. Also, how do you use yours? Is it for finicky plants or baby plants? I saw that you used weather stripping in one of your videos but that it kept loosening up.
Omgoodness when you were doing the moss pole I was seriously laughing out loud. So funny because I do the same with mine. No matter the brand lol Loved this video so much! Thank you for filling TH-cam and IG with such a positive aura ♥️ you are my fave 🤗
I use the same type of poles and I put them together and then shove moss in them. Just use a long stick type thing and push it into the pole. It’s a lot easier to me this way.
I wish I could show you the ridiculousness that is the root system on my VBM. I have it in pon in a self watering pot and the roots are so obnoxious that they push the pon up and out of the pot. Every morning when I get up and go check on the plants there’s a whole new mess of pon on the shelf around that pot. The growth on those plants is so crazy, roots and all! (I couldn’t help but chuckle a bit as you struggled with putting that pole together, I have so been there 😬 I find they are worth it though). Thanks for another entertaining video.
Omg it seems that they really root like crazy! Even with the aerial roots. They are super vigorous growers, with all their roots and growth points 😆 and yes agree that the moss poles are worth it hahah glad I’m not the only one that struggles 🤣
I’ve tried using a book before too. I love the idea of writing everything down. I wasn’t able to stick to it, sadly. And I love how I can add photos in Planta. Thanks so much for watching :)
Another great video 🙌🏾 OMG your Exotica has come a long way…I remember when it was barely growing Lol…I hope your Valentines date was great as well ❤️🌱🌱🌱
Sponsored by Planta? So cool!!!! I really love the app! I like being able to collect photos and track progress. And keeps me from overwatering my Hoya haha Happy Valentines Day to you too! Very cool about Pamela Anderson :)
I’m sure the Burle Marx is going to be so happy now! ☺️ Also, yay for mooncat polish! I am currently wearing A Midsummer’s Dream and I also love Mercury’s Tears 🥰
@@wildfern I want so many too 😭 I love the formula but yeah they are expensive! It would suck if it’s even more in Canada. I live not far from Seattle so I’ll have to chuck some across the strait for you! 😂
I’ve totally outcasted my Burle Marx v. 😅 like they get absolutely no love at my house. I chopped it sold it stuck a couple of them in the corner of my window and have since forgot about them. Every once in awhile I slide food and water through their tray slot but their bound and gagged most of the time. 😂😂😂😂
@@wildfern right! One went all yellow and one went green! Finally after forever theyre both pushing leaves with a small amount of variegation. 👎 maybe if they acted right I would love on them!! 😂
I love the Planta app, been using it since last summer, it has helped me keep my plants on a regular watering schedule 💚 It also helped me realize I was watering plants too often before
For the magnetic nail polish, be sure you're shaking the bottle often while you're doing your nails. Like every other nail or so. The magnetic particles are heavy and will sink. Also, sometimes the magnets that come with them aren't great. I started using a rare earth magnet that I bought for my cabinet and it works really well lol.
My baby Monstera deliciosa got its first fenestrated leaf this week and I’m so excited to put it on a pole today! I also have a pineapple bromeliad I’m going to repot it’s absolutely adorable. It’s actively growing a tiny baby pineapple
I haven’t tried that Riley Sager book, but I’m reading Sager’s “The House Across the Lake” and I really like this one! Love your plant chore videos! And book Reccos!
I have a green monstera small form on a plain wood trellis, nothing to grow into and it is sizing up/more secondary fenestrations and growing fast. I do have to tie it on and I put the aerial roots back in the pot. I love seeing your roots and diagnosis/plans and goals for plants!
Ahh yes! Monstera are so great like that. They just need support. I am thinking of different ways I can stake my albos. I kind of want to go for a bamboo stake, but I’m not sure if it would be strong enough. Maybe a few of them haha. Thank you so much for watching 🫶
if you're looking for an emotional book, i recommend It's Kind of A Funny Story by Ned Vizzini. trigger warning// depression, suicide, mental illness, but it's such a good read, I used to read it once a year when I was in the pits lmao it gives me the same melancholic yet earnest, and hopeful vibes as Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chebosky, which is also an incredible read. u should give that a go as well if you haven't, it's Way better than the movie
Do you store your moss wet in a plastic container? Do you find issues with mold? I've been leaving mine out to dry before I put it away and it takes forever and takes up a lot of room lol
I put mine away damp. I don’t have issues with mold but I put some vent holes into the box. Or I’ll just leave the lid unlatched to one side but mostly I don’t find an issue
Sometimes I just put it down and leave it for a while Then later I pick it up again and start reading it from the start and then it’s easier to read it when start from the beginning. Then it makes sense.
Such a cozy video! I don't know if you like book recommendations, but if you're interested to read canadian books, I suggest Birdie by Tracy Lindberg (it takes place in BC!) or All My Puny Sorrows by Miriam Toews. I really enjoyed them🌱

Your tortum looks so good! Mine(two plants combined into a bigger pot)has been in a greenhouse tent. It's getting so big but I'm afraid to move it out to ambient humidity😟...do you suggest I wait until spring? I'm in Colorado.
If I’m being honest, I doubt you’ll have much issue at all. If you’re worried, try doing it slowly/gradually. A few hours a day and increasing over time. This can be a long process or a short one. Trust yourself and trust your plant ❤ Philodendron especially are pretty easy going, it’s just us and the way we love them that’s convincing us they’re delicate babies lololol
@Lisa Anglim unfortunately that kind of humidity level is bot achievable in my main plant roo.(even with a humidifier). I live in an arid climate. Outside of my greenhouse/cabinets,with a large room humidifier the humidity usually sits around 30-35%

Hi Fern, I kind of like using empty glass spice jars for water propagation of plants. The small size seems to hold them well.😊

@Holly Puckett thanks for the advice! Yes, I've heard tortums are pretty easy going. If anything it might slow down in growth after transition
I’ve had my tortum out in my house since I got it. I have no rent and no cabinent. I do run a humidifier 34/7. Keep it about 60 %

Are you still using the orchid fertiliser spray on your hoyas? Do you think it makes a difference as I’m tempted to start doing it to mine? ❤
I haven’t been recently. I do notice that they appreciate it though, so I want to get back into doing it!
In my personal experience, it definitely makes a difference
I love this idea! But I do still want to see what you do with the syngonium eurythrophylum 😁
That will be an interesting one as they are notoriously hard to propagate. I am going to give it a shot soon though!
Following the exotica, have mine propped in water but curious about straight into soil . 🤔
Also following Olive 😀
So far so good, really hoping it will continue to do well. Thank you for watching :)
