I ordered the yellow one thinking it was going to be a bright vibrant color. Instead I looks like more of a Gold color. I personally prefer the gold look. Definitely not disappointed but just a heads up to the ones expecting a brighter cream of yellow.

I like your feature video but at the same time he forgot one major point as well if I got to talk about the front facing iSight camera also getting an upgrade from 1.2 megapixels to five megapixels there are people that do use that camera and I believe that was an important feature you should've included in your video when judging the two otherwise it was very good material
Having an ipad mini 2 or an air or any older one(not older than ipad 3rd generation) is more than good enough and you can get one for a much better price. I have a mini 2 and works well for high demanding tasks. People nowadays are just obsessed with getting the very latest model.

The only considerable difference in both is the pencil. On the other hand, Microsoft Surface 3, Surface 3 pro and Surface pro 4 can handle ALL the professional desktop apps while still being a tablet. So the surface 3, which doesn't even have the name 'Pro' attached to it, is actually way too 'Pro' when compared to any of the iPad Pros.

I dont like how you describes the ipad air 2 as mediocre, it is better than almost all the samsung tablet out there and it can handle without a problem 99% apps of rhe appstore for just 399, how cares about that pencil for 100dlls or stupid keyboard that nobody uses, for 50dll any one can get a keyboard and stylus for same use.
Bought the Air 2 a month ago, loaded Real Racing 3 (I use that as a benchmark) and decided that it wasn't running as smoothly as I liked so went to the Apple store the next day and exchanged for the iPad Pro 9.7 The difference in that game is very noticeable and as an added benefit, it runs the Apple Pencil which I got that same day. Love it and I highly recommended the Pro for power users.
I did get Procreate ($5.99) and couldn't be any happier. I had a chance to take a graphics class as the Apple store and the gal strongly recommended Procreate as it works really well with the pencil. I've been constantly sketching since getting this combo. Also, Garageband is awesome and runs so well. You won't regret it. Cheers and HNY!

+BMAN4667 Buddy, get the Air 2 if your truly want an iPad. It also starts at $399, like the mini 4, but it is faster for both CPU and GPU tasks. We're talking about an A8 chip in the mini 4 versus the A8X in the Air 2.
SD expansion on android is a limited feature, so I don't get why people make a big deal of it and say how the iPad lacks it etc.. Sure you can use it for media files, but there's also alternatives for expansion for Apple devices too..

Simply put, get the air 2 if you primarily stream movies or TH-cam and do Facebook type stuff on a tablet. Go for the Pro if you see yourself using a tablet for note taking and illustrations/drawing as the pencil/stylus works great. Both models can be easily "sniped" on eBay at a much cheaper price used.
I was thinking of exchanging my 16gb space gray iPad Air 2 for the new 9.7" one but I think I'll just wait for the next one or maybe even the one after that and get a 64gb one :D I love my air 2 tho it's still great :D

I have the original iPad which i still use but of course has no expansion capabilities. I have the smaller iPad which is running out of room. Nice comparison, though only thing I picked up was 17 months differences in technology is less than 1.5 years but you made it sound longer by saying its "close to a 2 year gap". Personally I don't think 7 months isn't a close enough gap to state something as almost 2 years instead of 17 months.

I had the screen replaced after an accident with the tablet and because it was done by third party the whole underside of the screen is covered in dust, and no warranty because of it too. More and more dust goes in over time... Being honest though, it's probably better to go for an Air 1 or 2.

ordered a used iPad Pro 9.7 inch today for £230 with a 2 year warranty. Was only £30 more than the Air 2 so seemed like a no brainer

As a casual user who doesn't need the pencil or keyboard I cannot sell what concrete gains I really make by upgrading from my Air 2?
The air 2 is good enough, and fast enough where you don't need to upgrade, but I'm upgrading from a regular 2, so I think I'll choose the pro :P

I understand but it is only 1.5yrs old. I think that Ram more than processor will be the future issue. That could of compromised on 3gb of Ram.
