It's easy- you just have to play it for a minimum of 8 hours every day. Just joking, that level skill does take time, but that makes it all the more amazing. I remember when they were trying to beat 2 hours and now it's down to 1:45.
@@RivalTangent I was pretty bad on my first playthrough too. Watching speedruns actually helped me improve a lot. Quick swapping is crucial. And I also love the ice bomb> flame thrower> ballista combo.
what does restricted mean in this context? and how the hell the bosses etc stay staggered and unresponsive for so long, for me it feels like they are back at my balls after two shots
@@theslayer5998 no skill issue here, it just looked odd since it locked onto his head. I know how punch swapping works, but wasn't aware it actually makes you track that well though.
As a purist this is utter bollocks and why do you all think it's so amazing. No doubt this dude can weapon switch and has played it but missing 50% of the grind is not 100%.Shan record
this is a different category dude. go watch an all natural masteries 100% you'll love it. i personally prefer that aswell but this is still fucking remarkable.
@@petermadsen4583 I'm huge proponent of the Full Auto Mod of the Combat Shotgun, Several underused mods actually. I built my play-style around Full Auto, Microwave Beam and Remote Detonation. I also love Micro Missiles. With the Ancient Gods, I feel like these mods have even more of a place in the gameplay. And I thought it would be a good time to go over Full Auto strategies. Let's start with the flashy stuff: The One-Cycle Full Auto kill on the Marauder. This was inspired by the current speedrunning tactic tactic of Precision Bolt, Double Grenade, Lock-On rockets. If you can get the falters consistent, the Full Auto will take em' out just like the rockets. This method is riskier, and it's about two fifths of a second slower than the Lock-On rockets kill, so I don't expect to see speedrunners adopt it, but it's so much cooler! The trick to getting this consistently is switching to the Shotgun before throwing the Grenade, hold on to the Marauder as he's moving right with the explosions and he should die. If you don't kill him, he'll die from the next shot because he's so close to death. I find it helps to keep the Grenades close to him for damage and so they explode faster. This combo is also possible with the Precision Bolt, the Super Shotgun and the base fire of the Combat Shotgun. But they are much harder to get consistenly because of the damage difference. So, a quick refresh on what we already know: Full Auto is very strong in the early game of DOOM Eternal. A Grenade setup on an Arachnotron plus Full Auto disintegrates him quickly. Getting into Exultia, I like to throw a Grenade to setup a Blood Punch and then finish with Full Auto for quick deletion. Once you get the Super Shotgun, Full Auto gets outclassed in utility and damage. And it slows your movement speed when you use it, so it tends to get forgotten by mid level 3, even if you're a fan of it. However, the Heavy Demon focused combat in The Ancient Gods, combined with having the mastered Full Auto Mod right at the beginning, makes Full Auto an awesome weapon to incorporate in your game. The most interesting thing about Full Auto is the mastery Salvo Extender which returns shells with each kill. Different demons return a different number of shells. Fodder Demons return 3, Heavy Demons return 6 with the exception of the Carcass and Prowler which return 3. And Super Heavies return 9. That means the Marauder combo ends up only costing 6 shells. Using Full Auto at the end of a combo on a Heavy or a Super Heavy means that every demon killed is giving you Shotgun shells. In the DLCs, you'll find yourself in sections with lots of fodder enemies and it's nice to set them all on fire and blast them with Full Auto for a shower of armor and shells! One of my favorite new tricks is meathooking a Shield Guy and switching to Full Auto for the kill, so I get the armor points and the free shell. The dog section in the fog is perfect for Full Auto, because you can kill so many enemies for free and save those gas points. And there's really nothing as awesome as going full Rambo and just unleashing Full Auto into a crowd while tossing Grenades. Another important aspect of Full Auto is learning to maneuver with it. There's a finesse to it. And it takes some time to get used to. Your mobility is slow, so I find it useful to stay airborne. And you should be using the Air Mobility Rune by now anyway. Here's my preferred way to take out a Cyber Mancubus: I shoot a Remote Detonation Rocket to falter and create my opening, hit em' with a Blood Punch, back off with another Rocket and jump into the air moving around him with Full Auto to kill him and get the plus 6 shells. This, of course, is a little risky due to faltering and blood punching consistencies.
