    Thanks for the review. This looks like a nice product. Would have loved to see more specs/testing. Thanks

      Thanks for the feedback. I did a bit more testing/playing in the MSR-1 video, which uses the same presence sensor so the results should be similar.

    The back expansion slot if for the USB-C module that you can buy as an option to power it from the back instead of the regular one from the side.

      Yes, it can be used for that as well as our other planned mezzanine modules. We have a microphone and GPIO option that we hope to release soonish.

      The microphone is going to be a game changer for local voice control.

    Got one of these a few weeks ago and love it. Sounds like the MSR-2 is slightly better at still movement detection than the MTR-1? Either way I definitely plan to get more, Apollo is a great company and I hope they have a lot of success. Also, your co2 levels are pretty high but it's what is expected for an enclosed room. See if you can get some ventilation in there. :)

      To be fair, I hadn't calibrated it before filming that vid. The house is fairly new so it hs tighter than older houses. The fresh air system wasn't working as expected so I turned it off. Might need to re-investigate that.

    My bedroom CO2 is 1268 ppm right now

      Why didn't humidity show up with CO2 module

    • @Bunton33
      @Bunton33 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Southsidegroovinnn You can add it by using the guide, "How To Add Temp And Humidity From SCD40", on our Apollo Automation Wiki. I do not think I can post the link or it will get deleted. We are working on enabling the humidity in a future firmware update so users won't have to do this.

    I'm feeling uncomfortable and almost dizzy when CO2 is above 900... I bet you'll feel the difference if you monitor it closely and vent when necessary.

      Yeah. I get tired in the afternoons and I wonder how much CO2 plays into that. This is an interesting test.

    I wish they offered sales in Europe. Shipping, taxes and import duties are very hefty.

      We have two European distributors, Open-Circuit and Domo-Supply. We are working with both to send updated inventory within the next couple of weeks. We do offer both DDU and DDP options as well as free international shipping on orders over $200.

    Chris, have you done any presence automation with it? There are a ton of variables in Engineering mode, but to me, it seems very fiddly to tune and get the motion and detect stationary people in a small room, like a bathroom. Just really want a reliable presence sensor, without all the other sensors. Perhaps only lux, but that is not very accurate on the MSR-1. Temperature and humidity is not accurate over a significant range (60-80F, 15-50 %). Sorry, don't do Discord - like asking for a solution in a busy train station. 😊

      In my studio, I have used both the MSR-1 and MSR-2 to turn on some strip lights when I first enter the room (the farthest zone in the MSR-x). That gives me enough light to find the actual light switch and once the light level is high enough and I'm in the zone closest to the MSR-x, I turn off the strip lights with automation since I don't need them once the main lights are on.
