I no longer eat fat free or reduced fat dairy. I’m 43lb down in weight since ditching all my daft diet rules that built up over the years. Allbran with kefir, prunes and a banana for breakfast today. Yum! I also love the Doctors Kitchen app for new ideas.
@therealtoni I had it checked last month and it's was fine! I was nervous, but nothing to worry about. I don't eat lots of dairy though, and I work out 3-4 times a week and walk 8-10,000 steps a day. Tonnes of fibre through plants also.
I am making my own kefir with kefir grains, because kefir in supermarkets are made from starter powders and because of that they have much less good bacterias.
I've been making my own kefir for several years now, and I love it. I can drink it by itself (you'll get used to the acidity), but I usually make a smoothie with it and add blueberries, raspberries, almonds, and walnuts. After getting used to consuming homemade kefir, you'll never want to go back to the yucky supermarket ones 😊 it's not hard to make and maintain either. If you're going away for a few days or even a few weeks, you can put it in the fridge and stays nice and dormant until you come back.
I Only buy full fat yogurt , never any yogurts with the word “ style “ on the carton , they generally have thickeners in the mix somewhere to make it creamy
I love full fat unsweetened Greek yogurt. Also full fat pure cottage cheese, without a ton of other ingredients.
I love how Dr. Rupy provides practical advice on incorporating dairy into your daily diet, especially for improving gut health and digestion.

I just started too, and also plan to start making L. Reuteri "yogurt".

Doctor, how about a video on losing PCOS belly and weight. Your content is great.
Try his podcast on The Doctor's Kitchen #195 Fix your PCOS (with Dr Nitu Bajekal). Dr. Rupy's content is always so well researched and balanced.
