- In this video, I discuss my likes and dislikes of my 2023 Ford F350 Diesel. I have enjoyed owning this truck so far, so much that I sold my other truck, a 2017 Toyota Tundra because I just didn't drive it much.
Your truck is insanely powerful man! Gotta love that big fuel tank!!!
Thanks brotha, I love the huge fuel tank!
You’re getting better mpg than I get from my frontier… expletives come to my mind
Haha yea, I guess having 10 speeds and 3.31 gears probably helps quite a bit. But just remember you could by a few frontiers for the price of one of these trucks so rest at night knowing that haha
Great video man! It was very easy to watch thanks to your great editing skills 🫡
Thanks for watching Andre!
If you hold the power button on the head unit and the forward button simultaneously for about 5 seconds it will force a reboot of the stereo and everything should reconnect afterwards.
Awesome, thank you! I will give that a try next time it goes out.
I got the same truck and love it. I too have sync issues with Apple CarPlay but it’s manageable for now. I get literally the same mileage as you at 4k miles
Sweet, glad you like the truck like I do. Overall I am a very happy owner given the mix of features and capability. Thanks for watching!
Make sure you replace the fuel filter and the top water separator within 8,000 miles
Thanks! Did the fuel filter but am not sure about the water separator. Gotta check that one.
These trucks are beasts!!
True that!
love mine i got a xlt 250 crew cab long bed with the HO 6.7. Mine also did the instrument cluster turn off then it came back on but said the drive mode weren't available which made me pull over and restart the truck since I was towing and didn't want to lose town/haul. It hasn't done it since. Mine does the carplay thing but its different it will just have no audio but reconnecting it usually fixes it. One time it did just crash carplay every 45seconds to a minute no matter what I did but again it did it once on my way home from work and hasn't done it since.
Haha gotta love ford electronics. Fortunately these issues seem to be inconsistent for both you and I, but we’m glad you like your truck like I do! They are pretty awesome. Thanks for watching!
From my experience using a new high quality usb cord makes a big difference with car play issues. I usually have to replace mine every 6 months or so because of disconnecting issues
Very valid point, that does really seem to help in my experience with my wife’s Honda CRV so I’m sure it would help here too.
That the set up I would like to have. Love the way it’s outfitted. Just can’t justify the cost for a daily driver. Nice truck.
Thanks brother. Yea I love base trucks for some reason, just looks right to me. The new trucks have so many features anyways it’s like a fully loaded truck from 10 years ago in my opinion.
This is the truck I want but with the godzilla! Thanks for the video!
No problem 👍 Godzilla is a great motor from what I see and hear!
Do do your own oil and fuel filter changes? You can do fuel filter changes for way cheaper than $450 if you do them yourself. And that’s using Motorcraft filters.
Haven’t yet but am not opposed to it. That said, my first three changes were “free” included with the purchase of the truck, so I have yet to pay for a full service myself.
It disconnects in the same places it something with pipelines or something interrupts ,i only use wired carplay
Hmm maybe - it usually happens on road trips where I am driving in a new place so I wouldn’t really know if it was pipelines.
Sounds like we just need to plan more camping trips to justify the diesel!
I guess so!
WOW, $450 for fuel filters.....Do you take it to the dealer to change the fuel filters?
That's every 10k miles.
That’s for two filters and and oil change. But yes, either the dealer or a diesel shop. Luckily my first three services were included when I bought the truck so I have yet to pay, but next one’s on me.
@RollingWithRuss you cab buy the motorcraft fuel filter kit for about $75, oil filter for $25, and enough full synthetic Rotella T6 oil for about $75 and do it yourself.
You gonna diesel delete at all?
……. No comment 😝
1200 torque? Did you misspeak or is that accurate?
500 horse, 1,200 torque is accurate. All with a factory 100k mile warranty for the Powerstroke motor and transmission. Pretty wild.
Short trips, will screw up your emissions- big mistake cp4 failure
Yea that’s my fear, gotta replace that CP4 once I am out of warranty,
