Evidently, in real life, the JU87 flew at 3k feet and had its auto contact altimeter set at 1,500 feet. In addition, it was ordered in the beginning the Junkers all had to have sirens. They were turned on continuously. This drove the pilots crazy. So they demanded they have control of the sirens. This resulted in the pilot being able to turn the sirens on and off. Also, when aiming, you should have the nose just ahead of the target or fall short (as you did) because you had the nose behind the target.
That simpel rules, Rudel teaches to avoid danger by fighters.........fly at lowest level, and close together as possibel, continuously defense movements of every single plane (flip the wings, up/down)
As a kid i always thought all planes made that noise when they dive. Just shows how you can't learn anything true from watching Hollywood movies. It wasn't until I got into reading history that I learnt it was a siren on the stuka that gave them the ideas.
People mock Stukas, and if you were in a Spitfire, maybe they were kinda easy meat, but if you were at the short end of them on the ground, you might've had a different opinion. I met an old Dutch man many years ago, who had witnessed first hand how terrifying a Stuka attack was. He told me they peed their pants... he was just a child at the time (1940). In those early times of the war they used their Air Sirens I believe, to add to the fright.
I had a great time, cheers!! Minewhile I wasbuilding my new revell 1:72 junker ju 87D-3; I could have the possibilty of choose a Ju87G-2 with those massive guns anti tank, yeah the tank buster, but I couldnot resist to make the classical dive bombef.. bye, all the best😉😎🐏
The Stuka was an absolute terror in the Polish campaign, but then they only faced biplane opposition. Those Soviet Yaks are an entirely different proposition. Could be interesting! Still looking for a mosquito, hint, hint!
I play Il 1946 alot of fun!! The new one might now work on my computer. Il 2 and JU87 on paper i the same class of planes but in realy they are totaly differnt things. One is like flying tank and another like flying ninja. They are used in totaly diufferent ways.
I was hoping you would bring some Junkers gameplay for us, as always an amazing video! Want to buy IL-2 Great battles after seeing your videos, but too expensive T_T so can just wait for a moment when there's a huge discount or smth...
Outstanding performance! Loved that you 'had a go' at the fighters. You need to have a word with the ground-crew; looks like they've been over-inflating the tires again (the bastards are taking bets how many bounces per landing). You know, that whole bombing 'thing' kinda reminds me of a MOSQUITO? Can't think why I should mention Mosquito, cough, ahem, excuse me there, I think I caught a MOSQUITO in my throat there. You know what I suggest you might fly soon? Yes, that's right, you guessed it (you have 'the gift'...), the Gloster Gladiator! Now , that would be interesting, almost as interesting as flying a MOSQUITO? (I have no idea how that just 'popped into my head). Pax dude, no weekend is complete without a Taff mission. .
nice one again... So far Im kind of leaning to the HE 111 It is my favourite German bomber, but also interesting to see how far such an outdated design will go in a campaign.
I'm not sure how much truth is in those claims, but I read once that when Allied Intelligence learned first informations about Stuka's design they were absolutely sure that plane with such wings configuration will NEVER work...
Just started watching these vids as I find it easier to watch someone else fly then me try to do it and fail miserably 😪 Can do the WW1 aircraft but these WW2 are tricky suckers.
Just a heads up Taff. Seems like TH-cam has labeled your channel children's content. Might get into some hassle with all the war content unless you change the video settings in the studio
@@Pyxis10 Because if the video is flagged as children's content and he so much as swears or inflicts death on something the algorithm may auto ban the video and put a strike on the channel.

A Stuka career would definitely be interesting might be a short career. Don't believe I've ever seen a number career series.

Lol @ that T-34 near the bridge. 🤣
the ground loop monster strikes us all at one time or another
Textbook Jingles landing, bravo!
Could be a shorter career but it’s my favorite so far with the he111 just behind it. Great stuff as always, mate!
Attacking across a bridge? Try going along the direction of the bridge as it increases your chance of hitting it greatly.
Don't you be picking on 'our Taff'! (you know he is a sensitive soul). First mission and a classic 'smooth' landing, what's not to love?
Pax dude.
@@conmcgrath7502 He sucks.

gotta be my favorite, who doesn't love the siren
Some kind of dive bomber would be definitively cool. Doesn't necessarily have to be the StuKa but any dive bomber would be nice.
Yes, please do a Stuka career, and become the next Hans Ulrich Rudel

Wheelie good landing! 😃

Did you do that landing on porpoise?
Are you using the old disk version or the latest available online?
The video description still says MC 202 ;)
Corrected thx

If you have Steam they have sales on this game every so often. I got the base game BOS for $7.99 and Moscow and Kuban add ons for about $12.50 each.
My Grandfather was a stuka pilot 🤙🤙🤙

Hey Taff you description says your flying a MC. 202
Cheers, corrected
@@TaffinExile Just another heads up, the description also says that you're flying the Ju 88
Does this thing has a tail wheel lock? You had it unlocked on landing, contributing a bit to the loss of the wheel.
Is it bad that I laughed when those bombs blew up..😂😂
So far the stuka is my favourite career
I vote for the stuka, does il2 have the stuka with the underwing cannons?
Yes, it's an available modification.
@@Tuulos this comment solidifies my desire to see Taff get to ground pounding
It looks like a G model, so yes.
If you do a Stuka campaign use the 37mm tankbuster cannons

6:17 dear god, that's like four 500 pound cookies falling on their laps. how utterly inconveniencing that must feel
Or for a really really short career..... The Fairey Battle! Every time they went out a maximum of 2 came back, more often 1 or none.
It's a pontoon bridge. Maybe you should have tried a torpedo.

That's what I call a Jingles landing.
Skilled Stuka pilots could out turn enemy fighters. Lets see if TIE can do similar.
Wish the JU-87B was in Battle of Moscow, if you have PWCG you can fly the D model but not exactly historically accurate.
1 stuka career please, also cool vid
