Taff, you should try the Gladiator or Tiger Moth (biplanes), from IL-2 Cliffs of Dover, against early 109s. I wish they had the early Polish planes, such as the PZL P.11, in Great Battles, so you could see what the Poles were up against before they came to England to fight in the Battle of Britain.
This reminded me of the old dos game Air Duel:80 years of Dogfighting.... Which I still have somewhere. In it, you could fight in different wars... Fly and fight in ww1, fight in ww2, in Korean war, in Syria, etc.... And you could fly and fight across different era,.. I used to love shooting down ww1 planes with radar guided missiles from a F4 Phantom...
There was an old game called Dogfight published by MicroProse in 1993 that allowed you to put different era warplanes against each other. WWI vs WWII, WWI vs Jets with missiles. Similar sort of scenario as this video.
If you were flying the old Il-2 1946 game, you could try out some historical Spanish Civil War matchups. Polikarpov I-15 vs Bf 109B. Polikarpov I-16 vs Heinkel He 51 or Fiat CR 32.
Hi Taff, love your videos! One thing you can do to control your pitch if you have no elevator is to use trim. I don’t know if you were already doing that already, as you weren’t using technochat, but if you weren’t using trim, I recommend that you try it if you’re ever out of control.
Those .30 caliber weapons just have such terrible stopping power against Second World War aircraft. Especially with self-sealing fuel tanks and thickened canopies, you have to put so many hits on most middle- to late-war designs, it would take forever to bludgeon them down.
TH-cam deleted my last comment for some reason, i hope it doesn't spam it now. It would be great to see this done with early war aircraft, like the i16 or Fairey Swordfish if it's on here.
Yeah, the Night Witches flew the Polikarpov Po-2, which was an interwar design like the Swordfish. They were being phased out, but a lot of people still used biplanes, especially early war, Gloster Gladiators, Fiat CR.42s, Polikarpov I-15s etc.
@@jameshenderson4876 Im sorry, didnt read the title of the video. Though the bristol didnt have guns on the upper wing. If it would have, it had only one, not two.

Nice to see Sebastian follow from the farm to the air.

Air Duel:80 years of Dogfighting.... Old dos game.
Like lambs to the slaughter. That was a fruitless yet fun video. Thanks!

The Final Countdown, but its the luftwaffe
Maddest thing I've seen in a long time! All Hail Taff! I hope you are planning something special for Christmas?
Scoundrels might even get a pass?
This was fun, theoretical battles are interesting
Now you have an idea of what the Me 262 pilots went through.
That was a lot of good fun, Taff. Hello Sebastian. Jolly as always, I see.
Maybe u should have tried PO-2s :D

In a secondary combat area you might have seen a sopwith dolphin trying to fight stukas.
Would love to see how the WW1 crates do against sidewinder or sparrow missiles :P
It would be interesting if they don’t work because they’re heat seeking and there’s no jet exhaust to lock on to.
That's when you load dumbfire missiles
You could do that in old dos game, Air Duel:80 years of Dogfighting.
I used to shoot down ww1 planes with radar guided missiles from F4 Phantom...
Despite the Hersey, it’s nice to see Sebastian again.
Not bad! What the heck were you two drinking? Why didn't the F2Bs form a defensive circle?
Hey taff, with flying circus volume 2 having a career mode planned, do you think you'll do a series with it on release?
try the Gloster Gladiator V bf 109 E
20:25 They were told it would be a mil run....
*Milk
Interesting premise
Taff...use a Zeppelin 😁
Most enjoyable....
Talk about a Mashup. WWI planes vs WWII plane. 👍🏾👍🏾

Too slow and too fragile, my friend!
👍👍

Not even BF109s can kill Alfie W.
I think RoF is better than Fc.
Gloster Gladiator could do it why not your old string bags?
Sebastian got out of jail? Still a bum rap if you ask me.
didn't those russian babes "the night witches" fly the biplanes against the luftwaffe
lol Just look at the planes that took down the Bismark. Almost WW1, made in the 30's . The great Fairey Swordfish.

Shooting down a biplane in daylight, pretty easy.
Shooting down a biplane at night, very tricky.
Historically this is incorrect... not ok
Really? Are you sure?
