Also, can i recommend starting a new series of videos that displays the best set of armour and best weapon for each of the different weapons? I think that'll be really cool and helpful :)
I started doing guild quests just now and I noticed they're going up in level by 1 instead of 3... Do they start going up by 3 after you reach a certain level or something?
But part of why monster hunter has an awesome community is because we find the stuff in the game and share it with eachother. I really only play with my cousins. Just much more fun being in person. But we always look to the community, and help out with any info we find out. Its a game where we play it and learn it. Even when you think you know it all. They throw new ideas at us.

Danchamp07 Also, while you can only have 10 *active* guild quests set up, you still have a pool of 99 you can fill up waiting in the wings. While you're low level, you will get a LOT of Kut-Ku and Velocidrone hunts. You probably don't want to keep them unless they let you farm specific weapons/armor (the bias mentioned in the quest description is what drops, not a suggestion for which weapon to bring).
The RNG can be unforgiving in Expeditions. On my first G-Rank Expedition; since I haven't unlock any monster to show up yet, it gave me 2 Ruby Basarios, 1 Deviljho, and 2 Savage Deviljho's. Even then, my recent G-Rank Expedition gave me White Monoblos and a Black Diablos, with only one cave area. As such, they wouldn't leave the area.
Thank you for that awesome little guide. I am a Bow hunter, so I have been saving bowgun/bow biased quests. I found a Lv1 Queen Blaster with rapid instead of spread, lol. It also has thunder element grayed out. This is like Diablo with the possibilities. I can't wait to see what other bows show up.

Hey Gaijin, wondering if maybe you can shed some light on the respawn mechanics of the monsters. You've stated that you can get up to 5 to increase your chances for a double, but, for example, if you were grinding the Seltas to try and get a Rajang, how does the respawning work to continue hunting them?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you can de-register guild quests. It deletes them, but it gets them out of the way so you can register new ones, just go into the guild quests menu and go to the registered tab. You can select and delete registered quests from there. If this information is already in the comments somewhere, and I just failed to find it, I apologize.
Would be nice if you could find the odds for low rank expedition and high rank expedition to find guild quests and which is which. More importantly if there are any odds for the god charms and or the good weapons
I never noticed that the GS have a swing attack (after the crouched charge). It does seems I have a lot to learn on weapons that I used on past games (I'm playing only CB right now)
I'm farming to get Artian armor but I'm having some trouble understanding how to get the Ancient and Rust fragments that I need. I've usually gotten them from treasure areas on expeditions, but any other tips and tricks would be extremely helpful.
Also, if any of u guys are wondering how to get blue kelbi horns? its in expedition, make sure u have blunt damage, also ur palico has blunt damage. search for a kelbi area. once u find it hit them with just blunt damage, u're sure to get horns, i ran it twice and i got 20+ horns per expedition. they're not unlimited but they spawn a lot of times.
I want to get other GQ's other than Yian Kut Ku/Garuga, Kecha, Kirin, Basarios, Gravios or Velocidrome. I want to get either Brachy, S. Queen, Seregios, Gore, Zamtrios, Zinogre, or even a Brute Tigrex if it even was possible. I'm even down for a Teo one as well as a Regular Jho. Savage just one hit kills me with the Corkscrew Dragon Breath Attack as I'm wearing G Rank armor.
Important(?) note here; if you are on the same level as the Guild Quest, such as low-rank hunter for a low-rank quest, you only level up once for finishing the quest. This is true so far in my play-through of MH4U(NA), not certain it's true in other versions.
Can you get guild quests of monsters you have not hunted? Like you hunt a High Rank Seltas and get a Rajang GQ even if you haven't done the Rajang intro quest?
In the Tumblr guide, right hand Rajang is mentioned. I have a guild quest, that I previously thought was just Rajang but turned out to actually be the desirable YKK/Rajang quest at level 104. I'm confused as to how this is a good thing. Surely we'd have to defeat Rajang in addition to YKK to get the rewards right? I know the rewards are determined by the fact that Rajang is in the quest, but I don't want to fight a very difficult Rajang to get cool stuff. It also mentions the GQ level for True armour spheres is up to level 100 for certain monsters. Does that mean my quest will not give me True armour spheres and give me Strong armour spheres instead? I think I do have a level 97 Gore GQ, but that one will be out of the level range by a single completion. One sec... I do have a slightly lower level Basarios GQ, so I can farm that for True armour spheres. Can GQs give heavy armour spheres (one below tru armour spheres)? Apologies for all of the questions, but I'm only just getting into Guild Quests and Expeditions (~250 hours into the game lol) and I have no clue as to what's what.
+PKDeviluke25 here's one: (a tip xD, not a video) do you like the buffs/nectars from the kinsect of the insect glaive? But you don't want to use insect glaive? Then go to your set 1st stringers screen and place there 2 health ones and then either an attack or def one.. the one that you want to use online (def or atk up) is the one that you want to place another one from (i wanted to use def up online, so i placed one more def up) and then deploy the other palico as your sub palico (if you want it exactly like me then 1 atk and deployed, 2 health and 2 def)
I can't access the Guild quest at the low guildarm, tho i haven't done any of the hunts there I still don't see them. Do I need to complete some mission to see them and complete them at the online hall or is there something i'm missing
Love all your videos but I noticed you didn't talk about "Equipment Bias" on this video at all. If you were to reupload this I would suggest adding that in. (for those who don't know, the "equipment bias" section on the bottom right of an expedition card is the likely piece of gear that a Relic found on that quest will turn into, for instance his bias seen at 3:36 says "Lance/Gunlance," and the polished relic was indeed a Lance)
Heres a tip for you gunners :) if you hold R and press X and A at the same time you can perform a draw reload thats slightly quicker, if you jump of a ledge and press these same buttons you will perform a draw attack (the same way it does if you were trying to mount) AND reloads your gun, most the time you'll be reloaded before you even hit the ground!
No ive been hearing that killing different creatures yield different Guild Quests, can anyone tell me the percentage of going through Low Rank and potentially finding a Kirin Quest....plz halp
I have a question, when you're doing Guild Quest with your friends, and you're doing their quests for the first time (they have lv80 for instance), what's the level of GQ for you if you just join their quest? Does it stays lv80 or for you it's lv1? I know that if you send GQ to someone its Lv is reset, but I can't seem to find answer to what happen if you only join the quest.
So is it the more faces show up at the end the better chance you'll get of getting a quest? Does it reset after every expedition? Does the bias on the expedition screen tell you what items you'll obtain on that expedition or does it tell what you can get from beating a quest that you obtained during that expedition?
The faces represent chances of getting an expedition that says 'rare' in the corner of it, like a Gore Magala is deemed rare. I am pretty sure the expeditions are different each time you do a quest so they are generated relatively random, The bias tells you what specific gear you can get from each run, so how Gaijin said, mining for the weapons and such. Also you can use expeditions to hire more cats which it will tell you as well on the screen showing the bias, as well as if it says 'poogie' you can find one to get new costumes for your own.
I really appreciate these tutorials like no joke It would take me forever to figure this stuff out and no way am I reading the "help" menu. If I could reccomend another... could you explain sunsnug island and all the things you can do with the palicos? I understand most of it but It would be interesting to get into the nitty gritty about it.
What does it mean when when is says "Treasure Area: Yes/No" on the expedition quest screen? I thought those were the only way to get relic and whatnot but apparently not.
I thought that as well, but I think the treasure areas and don't quote me, give you a higher chance of finding rarer materials not just armours and weapons, kind of like a cute little gathering haven in an expedition.
one question when I regeted a guild quest it says under take quest from gathering hall like 4/30 and every time I regest it reduces so if reached to 0 I cant regest anymore and is there away to regain that?
Zin Skymerald So you even dont need to forge weapons with megarare drops if you can get the guildquest stuff? Are the armors as awesome as the weapons?
Pawlitte It's all luck based, but if you get really lucky, you'll get an amazing weapon that's significantly more powerful than even Molten Tigrex weapons. Still, I recommend focusing on forging weapons since the really good Relic weapons are more likely to drop at Level 136+, which means you'll need to be at your A game with strong equipment as well. The armor isn't necessarily good, but if you're in to making mixed sets, you might get something crazy like an EdgeMaster +4 chest. But again, since it's all random, forging armor normally is more reliable.
Pawlitte Dude... even with a full party of 4, the high level Guild Quests are brutally difficult. They don't scale for the number of players, but even with 4 players hunts can be anywhere between 15 to 20 minutes depending on skill level. That's only the high level hunts, however. Lower levels shouldn't be too different from the standard Gathering Hall quests, but I'd say they get really difficult at around Level 120, and Level 136+ is basically God tier.
I already have 10 registered quest and I have other to register, I delete one of them, an I find it again with more expeditions? and also how do I know wich guild quests are better than others?
Are Relics possible from any guild quest so long as it has a blue rock? I managed to get a Velocidrome quest which has only 1 blue rock at the end of the quest with a SnS bias that I'm thinking of farming as I want the SnS Relic Velocidrome gives. Was wondering if there is always a chance even if not guranteed I can get one? Havent found one yet but was wondering if anyone knew if I keep at it if I can eventually find one?
I have a question about guild quests. If I do them alone, are monsters weaker compared to doing it with 3 friends? I mean the quests that I register after expedition. Best regards, great guide!

I think that expeditions are my least favourite part of the game. Basarios made me realise that, I want his armor, but so far the only one i found was in the urgent quest and despite doing around 30-40 consecutive expeditions I haven't seen a single one, never mind a guild quest. Help? Please?
So these expedition quest lvl up.... so... if I were to say lvl 1 velocidrome quest is considered low rank, then once I get it beyond lvl 30 or above it starts to turn into a high rank quest? or G rank? so high rank/ G rank materials? (just wondering.)
Everywhere I look I see that hunting Bassirios in an expedition is a urgent house get for killing your first kecha wacha... Thing is I'm already at 9* village quests and never got that quest to hunt it...
+DisturbedKoala That's why I do every quest, like it or hate it. I love a check mark on quest pages, and there must be some rewards for doing them all. There will always be mushrooms, Goldenfish, eggs and ore gathering dammit.
Expeditions for the caravan points since killing the monsters gives you the points you need, doing a quest for the first time in the village also grants you Cp, for Zenny, if you fight monsters in the expedition you don't actually want parts from, sell what you don't want/need. For example, in the village/gathering hall I have killed the Gore Magala to the point that I have 51 scales (More than I will ever need) so whenever I do the quest be it to help people or just for fun, I sell every reward it gives (except feelers and plates, I like shiny things) And I am only about HR3, and 5* village quests with around 120k Zenny.
Caravan points is best earned thru expeditions... as for zenny, its pretty much everything. In my case. I mostly request might/adamant seed to be planted at pokke farm, and then when I need zenny, I just sell 1 batch (99) of them. Quests, casting machine for small goldenfish, abd sometimes even extra ores that I have I sell them, but only if I really need to.
I got to the point where farming the Tetsucabra has become really easy and do-able in under 6 minutes. After I beat him, I sell all the items. Just 1 - 2 fights earned me 100k Zenny. I am not even kidding.
Thanks, I actually found a quest that give 10k zenny w/o selling the monster parts. It's a multi. quest called Material Effect I think. And it's pretty easy.

Sprry if this has been asked before but can expeditions be done in multiplayer because i'stuck in this one where i have to ill one of those blue dino's and the ka-zu-tok's and "(i messed that up didn't i?) anyways i can't fight two big monsters in the same zone so i wanted to now if multipleyr expeditions are a thing or not
Nathalie Mykløy People say that elder dragon quests give the highest chance for rewards but after doing 10 runs of Chameleos lv 128+ (a couple of times Lv140) I got zero divine spheres. 20 runs of Teostra got me 0-3 per run, but the best and by far the easiest has been double Deviljho at 0-5 per run. Typically the starting level is 120 and though it isn't 128+ for graven charms and better armor/weapons it does give a ton of divine spheres. As the video states with 2 monsters they start with only 70% of their hp. Also occasionally they will be frenzy which works in your favor as I believe it lowers their base HP even further and you can use the Power Wystone to deal even more damage. It's not until around level 134 or 136 that the difficulty gets harder at which point you can simply send it to a friend, it reverts back to Lv120 and they can host it.
GH-san, from what I read in your tumblr, what are the monsters that have the same level grade as Rajan? (since I'm so bad with it... any other monsters? I'll prefer any monster rather than him =___=") e.g. I'm looking for a Guild Knight Saber from Jinouga - i got a SnS/DS Jinougax2, so does this mean Jinouga/Rajan guild quest would have been better? (quest rewards and rarity wise) I was also happy I finally got a Jin sub/kut-ku guild quest for my SA..... so this means I'll have to search for Jin sub/Rajan huh OTL.... p.s. thank you for all the informations, guides and videos! :D
Why exactly do you buffed that Cera Cimmetry G.sword in power? Isn' t better to buff greatswords in armour, since the +20 raw for them is quite a small buff? Also if you could tell you opinion on wich buff goes to wich weapon, like health on HH as we saw on your Seregios One, would be helpful.
So if you get a Level 1 guild quest and do it enough times to bump it up to 30, does it automatically become the High Rank version with that tier of loot/materials?

Shaun Moore Its an amazing game, though Im sad that longswords have gone to shit (IMO, dont like the new spammy playstyle) after MHFU, where they were my favorite. Insect Glaives fill that role I missed perfectly though, and greatswords are a ton of fun I did ruin the fun for me with online though, used to be a pure solo player (did all quest on MHFU solo and farmed up rpetty much every good piece of gear), watching elder dragons die in 5 minutes got boring. need to start playing again soon, high level guild quests were perfectly balanced for 4 people
Is there a way to get them to higher sharpness by upgrading? I´ve got a pretty good relic LS i earned in a low rank Expedition, that sadly only has yellow sharpness, and I upgradet it already with advanced armorsperes without gaining any more and I do not have an Sharpness+1-Set :(
I'm pretty sure that the relics you get are the relics you get. You can't change the sharpness without handicraft or something along with it. Just keep looking. 😀
one question: I heard that when I do an guild quest online, you actually get WORSE and LESS rewards than when doing them solo... is that true??? Because I wanted to do some Quests with an friend in hope that we get both good stuff out of it!
Hey man! Big fan and absolutely love your vids. I just had a quick question. So could you clarify for me exactly how one gains access to higher level guild quests? Is it done by just farming the same quest (Lvl 1 Velocidrome -> Lvl 140) or is it done by quest / expedition / higher quest / expedition / etc,.... I have a level 3 quest for Velocidrome, and I just wanna know if I should be grinding it to level up guild quests, if it that won't even do much good at all. I barely ever do expeditions, so I'm not sure how to unlock higher level guild quests. Thanks man!
He was clearly referring to the monsters. Notice the parenthesis mentioned 300% health if the guild quest was for lvl140 monsters. Your health never goes up like that.

He means once you register the quest you can't put it back in the quest pool. So if you delete it it's gone for good

I have a question, when you're doing Guild Quest with your friends, and you're doing their quests for the first time (they have lv80 for instance), what's the level of GQ for you if you just join their quest? Does it stays lv80 or for you it's lv1? I know that if you send GQ to someone its Lv is reset, but I can't seem to find answer to what happen if you only join the quest.
It stays lv80. It follows the person who posted the quest.
So is it the more faces show up at the end the better chance you'll get of getting a quest? Does it reset after every expedition? Does the bias on the expedition screen tell you what items you'll obtain on that expedition or does it tell what you can get from beating a quest that you obtained during that expedition?
The faces represent chances of getting an expedition that says 'rare' in the corner of it, like a Gore Magala is deemed rare. I am pretty sure the expeditions are different each time you do a quest so they are generated relatively random, The bias tells you what specific gear you can get from each run, so how Gaijin said, mining for the weapons and such. Also you can use expeditions to hire more cats which it will tell you as well on the screen showing the bias, as well as if it says 'poogie' you can find one to get new costumes for your own.
Sweet! The only thing I don't like is the lack of commentary, though the way it's done instead is very professional and easy to understand.
I really appreciate these tutorials like no joke It would take me forever to figure this stuff out and no way am I reading the "help" menu. If I could reccomend another... could you explain sunsnug island and all the things you can do with the palicos? I understand most of it but It would be interesting to get into the nitty gritty about it.

What does it mean when when is says "Treasure Area: Yes/No" on the expedition quest screen?
I thought those were the only way to get relic and whatnot but apparently not.
I thought that as well, but I think the treasure areas and don't quote me, give you a higher chance of finding rarer materials not just armours and weapons, kind of like a cute little gathering haven in an expedition.
Treasure area = area with lots of great stuffs, like abrasive, gears cathangea seeds.
one question when I regeted a guild quest it says under take quest from gathering hall like 4/30 and every time I regest it reduces so if reached to 0 I cant regest anymore and is there away to regain that?

Zin Skymerald So you even dont need to forge weapons with megarare drops if you can get the guildquest stuff? Are the armors as awesome as the weapons?
Pawlitte It's all luck based, but if you get really lucky, you'll get an amazing weapon that's significantly more powerful than even Molten Tigrex weapons. Still, I recommend focusing on forging weapons since the really good Relic weapons are more likely to drop at Level 136+, which means you'll need to be at your A game with strong equipment as well.
The armor isn't necessarily good, but if you're in to making mixed sets, you might get something crazy like an EdgeMaster +4 chest. But again, since it's all random, forging armor normally is more reliable.

Pawlitte Dude... even with a full party of 4, the high level Guild Quests are brutally difficult. They don't scale for the number of players, but even with 4 players hunts can be anywhere between 15 to 20 minutes depending on skill level. That's only the high level hunts, however. Lower levels shouldn't be too different from the standard Gathering Hall quests, but I'd say they get really difficult at around Level 120, and Level 136+ is basically God tier.

Are Relics possible from any guild quest so long as it has a blue rock? I managed to get a Velocidrome quest which has only 1 blue rock at the end of the quest with a SnS bias that I'm thinking of farming as I want the SnS Relic Velocidrome gives. Was wondering if there is always a chance even if not guranteed I can get one? Havent found one yet but was wondering if anyone knew if I keep at it if I can eventually find one?

My Yian Kut-Ku quest only levels up by one each time I do it :( Is it because im still at 4star caravan quests and only HR 1?
I think it does three levels once you get to high rank.
I think that expeditions are my least favourite part of the game.
Basarios made me realise that, I want his armor, but so far the only one i found was in the urgent quest and despite doing around 30-40 consecutive expeditions I haven't seen a single one, never mind a guild quest.

Everywhere I look I see that hunting Bassirios in an expedition is a urgent house get for killing your first kecha wacha... Thing is I'm already at 9* village quests and never got that quest to hunt it...
I think I read somewhere that you have to do all your hunts up to the 4* urgent to unlock Bassarios (or whatever his name is). He's a hidden urgent.
+DisturbedKoala That's why I do every quest, like it or hate it. I love a check mark on quest pages, and there must be some rewards for doing them all. There will always be mushrooms, Goldenfish, eggs and ore gathering dammit.

Expeditions for the caravan points since killing the monsters gives you the points you need, doing a quest for the first time in the village also grants you Cp, for Zenny, if you fight monsters in the expedition you don't actually want parts from, sell what you don't want/need. For example, in the village/gathering hall I have killed the Gore Magala to the point that I have 51 scales (More than I will ever need) so whenever I do the quest be it to help people or just for fun, I sell every reward it gives (except feelers and plates, I like shiny things) And I am only about HR3, and 5* village quests with around 120k Zenny.
Caravan points is best earned thru expeditions... as for zenny, its pretty much everything. In my case. I mostly request might/adamant seed to be planted at pokke farm, and then when I need zenny, I just sell 1 batch (99) of them. Quests, casting machine for small goldenfish, abd sometimes even extra ores that I have I sell them, but only if I really need to.
I got to the point where farming the Tetsucabra has become really easy and do-able in under 6 minutes. After I beat him, I sell all the items. Just 1 - 2 fights earned me 100k Zenny. I am not even kidding.

Thanks, I actually found a quest that give 10k zenny w/o selling the monster parts. It's a multi. quest called Material Effect I think. And it's pretty easy.

What? They always do. Blue/Gold (in H. Mount) rocks yield charms more often.

How do i get divine armor spheres? I cant find any info anywhere.
Nathalie Mykløy People say that elder dragon quests give the highest chance for rewards but after doing 10 runs of Chameleos lv 128+ (a couple of times Lv140) I got zero divine spheres. 20 runs of Teostra got me 0-3 per run, but the best and by far the easiest has been double Deviljho at 0-5 per run. Typically the starting level is 120 and though it isn't 128+ for graven charms and better armor/weapons it does give a ton of divine spheres. As the video states with 2 monsters they start with only 70% of their hp. Also occasionally they will be frenzy which works in your favor as I believe it lowers their base HP even further and you can use the Power Wystone to deal even more damage. It's not until around level 134 or 136 that the difficulty gets harder at which point you can simply send it to a friend, it reverts back to Lv120 and they can host it.

Why exactly do you buffed that Cera Cimmetry G.sword in power? Isn' t better to buff greatswords in armour, since the +20 raw for them is quite a small buff?
Also if you could tell you opinion on wich buff goes to wich weapon, like health on HH as we saw on your Seregios One, would be helpful.
It's +20 TRUE RAW, meaning it's the same for every weapon. On the display screen it'll show up as +96 for GS.

yup, but you have to be high rank to continue doing that quest, same with when it turns g-rank
+Viral Zero That was a very useful answer. These damn Expeditions and Guild Quests are slowing down my village and gathering hall progress. Fuck, it's so fun. This is easily my favorite Monster Hunter, right above MH3U, even with the shitty bow fights underwater.
Shaun Moore Its an amazing game, though Im sad that longswords have gone to shit (IMO, dont like the new spammy playstyle) after MHFU, where they were my favorite. Insect Glaives fill that role I missed perfectly though, and greatswords are a ton of fun
I did ruin the fun for me with online though, used to be a pure solo player (did all quest on MHFU solo and farmed up rpetty much every good piece of gear), watching elder dragons die in 5 minutes got boring. need to start playing again soon, high level guild quests were perfectly balanced for 4 people

Is there a way to get them to higher sharpness by upgrading? I´ve got a pretty good relic LS i earned in a low rank Expedition, that sadly only has yellow sharpness, and I upgradet it already with advanced armorsperes without gaining any more and I do not have an Sharpness+1-Set :(
I'm pretty sure that the relics you get are the relics you get. You can't change the sharpness without handicraft or something along with it. Just keep looking. 😀

I think you need a higher hunter rank.

It's a skill called Sheath Control. It lets you do a draw stun attack and lets you unsheath your weapon quicker too.

Is it done by just farming the same quest (Lvl 1 Velocidrome -> Lvl 140) or is it done by quest / expedition / higher quest / expedition / etc,.... I have a level 3 quest for Velocidrome, and I just wanna know if I should be grinding it to level up guild quests, if it that won't even do much good at all. I barely ever do expeditions, so I'm not sure how to unlock higher level guild quests. Thanks man!

He never once mentioned the hunter, therefore it's the monsters.
He was clearly referring to the monsters. Notice the parenthesis mentioned 300% health if the guild quest was for lvl140 monsters. Your health never goes up like that.
Ah ok so if you face multiple monsters they each get a bit less health for balance?
