Black and White is one of my favourite games of all time. We need a modern take on that game.

Fable 2 is the first video game I completed for a long time after becoming bored with video games. Wasn't necessarily the games' faults but my habits changed and couldn't get through more than a couple hours of a single player game. Fable 2 gave me the impetus to complete it because of all its charms and joys and was wonderfully epic.
Now please..get an exclusive interview with Sean Murray! THAT would be interesting...

I adore this man, he created a part of my childhood. Sure, every now and then he is a daydreamer, just imagining things that dont turn out to be as great as he thought they could be. But I love Fable so much. Wish he would return to the series.
I think Peter Molyneux is done as far as the game industry is concerned. The big problem is: back at Bullfrog and Lionhead, he had a team of some of the best people in the game industry, one of them was a child prodigy in AI ! . Those were the people who could make his ideas work as actual games. Also, a solid QA team to tell him which ideas were too ambitious or didn't work. Now, at 22cans he has a small team of amateurs with limited experience. His post-Godus reputation prevents him from hiring the best and the brightest, and he's admitted he's not a brilliant coder.
You can have the greatest ideas in the world, but it's of no use if you don't have the people behind to make them reality.
I absolutely loved Fable: TLC, but then they tried to dumb it down in the titles after and make everything a joke. They changed way too much about the gameplay and the storyline. Fable had great potential, but for some reason they destroyed something good.
I'm here because of the dungeon keeper logo was on the thumbnail. Damn I miss playing that game!!

Peter has a real knack for persuasion. He rightly hasn't much trust in what he says though. I'd love to believe he's genuine and honest... Fool me once...

I don't really understand why the unfiltered show isn't getting nearly the amount of views ign is capable of attaining. This is the really fascinating and (probably more importantly) informative stuff the this website produces, yet it doesn't seem to be getting the views that they want nor what it deserves

Just like Sean Murray; the video game community should admire Peter for his visionary thinking. Sure, he made promises that were not met, but the industry moves forward because of people like this. I'm very sure if the technology was available at the time, he would have kept most of his promises.

I bought a xbox 360 for fable 2 after LOVING fable 1... 2 was ok... then the series just went bad after 2
fable 2 was the first one I played back when my 360 was still working. it was fantastic, then i played the first and the third and they were great as well. fable 2 will always have a special place in my heart

what he says about Lionhead and keeping developers engaged is exactly why Sony consistently produces better games than Microsoft. Microsoft approaches game development from the business management side whereas Sony uses their experience of managing musical artists and nurtures developers such as Guerrilla games and allows them to make the game they want if they provide enough of the games that they are asked to make
Fable used to be one of the best game franchises. It can be again!

Grizeus depends, do you criticize most everybody else for regurgitating the same old structure with a couple tweaks here and there? Every creative medium needs somebody trying to push what has been done. If you don't like his stuff, don't play them.
This is an interview on his career and his experiences, not an interrogation. Ryan asked a fantastic series of questions with respectful honesty, while not chastising the man for having a contagious passion for what he does. Take that as you will. I'm looking forward to more parts.
Peter slightly addresses it on his own. It is very brief and minor though, so don't get your expectations too high.

I've longed for a LONG time(since Half Life 1 first came out) to make video games. To me its better than making a movie or write a book. But Peter's right, its HEL on a company/design team. Even if its something you live, a family is so hard on them. Its a reason I'm looking at more at just selling, like running a Gamestop store. I want to make games still, but even more, I want a wife and kids
People love this guy despite him lying more than EA, Ubisoft and Activision combined - lying about entire game mechanics up until day of release, yet if another company so much as removes hat shown in a trailer they are the devil?
He did lie. The time when he told people you could plant an acorn and griw it into an oak tree? iamundergrace He definitely started out the way but I think it's interesting that, despite his lack of experience in the industry, he was able to bring something new to the table with his different perspective. Love him or hate him, he really did send waves across the industry with his clever and interesting ideas.
