Seems like it's not a popular opinion, I think the Megaman 5 soundtrack is one of the best of the NES Megamans. Top 2 maybe.

Me too. The themes are longer and more complex, at least when compared to themes from previous games of the series. I'm not sure why people dismiss the soundtrack. Nostalgia factor maybe: it wasn't as popular as mm2 or 3.
@@sourandbitter3062 That's certainly nostalgia. I would say most MM soundtracks are between good and great. I'm pretty sure there's a correlation between what fans consider the best soundtracks and their most played game in the series, and what people may consider "forgetable" or even "bad" are simply the titles that they played the least.
MegaMan 5 is okay, but 6 had a better feel to its soundtrack.
My brother and I were talking about this yesterday, 3 and 5 to us has the best music.

This is the only Mega Man series I was ever able to beat (what can I say, I suck at Mega Man 🤪), and this was back when NES carts were available for rental. And the reason why I was able to beat it is the ability to revisit beaten stages-- this is how you can farm E tanks in, say, Napalm Man's stage (1 through a fake wall, 1 from Eddie).
In my opinion, it's not really because "you suck at mega man", but rather due to the series' game design formula being fully completed at MM5. It's the only game I think about when I consider classic mega man at its best 😌

Gravity Man and Charge Man are S-tier tracks that stack up against the best robot master themes of the classic era. The rest are not quite as memorable but still have some nice grooves and melodies. The Darkman and Wily stage themes compare favorably with the stiff competition of the previous few games - it seems these composers liked to save their best for last.
So lighthearted and feel good!
Wow, I don't recognize "Last Boss" at all. I guess I haven't completed it more than two or three times. It also isn't particularly memorable.

1~4までとサウンドがガラッと変わってしまってすごく残念だった記憶があります
ナパームマンステージ以外あまりロックマンぽくない
何より耳に残らない印象の薄いメロディーばかり

Star Man's theme is so much worse than Crystal Man's
MM5 might just have the worst soundtrack in the entire Classic Series. While I love Wave Man, Dark Man Stage and Wily Capsule II's themes, I dislike basically every other theme. It's a soundtrack with 3 S tiers and 20 that are C tier or below and the other remaining 2 are like B tier.
