Mower Wheel Traction Hack - Part 2

- Are your self-propelled lawn mower wheels worn out? Are your wheels slipping and not pulling your mower across the lawn? Do you notice a lack of traction when you mow? This video shows you how to re-tread your self-propelled lawn mower drive wheels. I put new tread on these worn out wheels by attaching a mountain bike tire to the wheels. Traction was greatly improved! This hack works on all mowers. The mower in my video is an old Craftsman self-propelled mower. See my Part 1 video that shows how to fix the worn out drive teeth on your mower's drive wheels.

Thank you, now I won't add grip to my wheels. I didn't think about drive train issues.
Right-the extra traction makes the weak point of the system even weaker. Thanks for watching!
Whoaaa this was a great hack! Thanks for sharing!
Looking forward to part 3!
Been waiting for part two! 🙌
Thanks for waiting so patiently!!!
Don't let the wife mow, got it. Good thing she is one step ahead of me on that.

3M weather stripping cement is great for this job, it’s great to hold it together
Thanks for the great tip and thanks for watching!
Bypass the rubber part and just use the hex screws . Put 3 across and space them evenly all the way around .
Ha! I like that idea...it would be like studs on snow tires!
I do this glue on with my Lawn tractor for no expence and paying up to 300 dollars for chains or treaded tires? Works as long as I want it and Good traction.@@keepcalmandfarmon5401
What about attaching soft spikes for golf shoes onto the wheels with glue or screws or both.
I had not thought of that! I like that idea-because if they fall off they would be relatively harmless (unlike the sheet metal screws I used).
Remember, cut toward your thumb, not your chum.
Aaaaahhh…that is good advice!!!
