I love when older witches go on tik tok and are like witchy moms bc in my opinion they r helpful and really make my day ngl bc they keep u from danger and are so kindddd!
Hey!! I love ur videos, and I’m kinda early. I ABSOLUTELY ADORE YOU AND YOUR VIDEOS! You’re the person who got me into Witchcraft in the first place. Thank you. :>
2:54 the actual holiday was not stolen from paganism, however the style of celebration in many european countries usually links to the pagan traditions of the spring equinox there
2:52 when they said “pagan fertility festival” by brain finally made the random connection: “oh, maybe why babies started randomly showing up as signs to me iz because my manifestations are fertile”. It took me WEEKS and this is how I realize 😂 thanks lmao
Also, to thestitchingwitch- Bede even says in his treatise De temporum ratione that April was Eosters Month and that Easters name came from the goddess Eostre- the spring goddess of fertility. Even Charlamange talked about this in the 8th century. Did you even bother to dig deep???
Aren't some of the TikToks sorta hypocritical? Like at 2:45 it says the name Easter came from Passover and not the Goddess, but the tiktok directly after that says it came from the Goddess?
This isn't related to the video, but I have a question for all witches out there. So I bought incense, and my parents really did not like the smell. I would like to note that they were fine with it in the past. Does this mean anything specific? I noticed that they have become a lot more angry towards me, and was wondering if this meant anything. I recently came into Paganism and am not sure. Blessed be!
Easter absolutely came from Eostre. It's in the etmology. And to note, paschal wasn't used until 15th century. Jewish Passover has nothing to do with Christian Easter. It's absolutely stolen.
