Just wanted to say that you are a life-saver for me! :D I'm a baby witch and these are so handy because I feel like everyone here is so welcoming and they GET me and my craft- (unlike family- wooooooooooooo) Not to mention that you find SO MANY good tiktoks- I swear I've been looking for witchy tiktoks and can't find ANY on the site that I haven't seen before. Plus, y'all know a lot more about which rituals/spells are closed practices! I've always tried to double check any stuff I find online, but there's a lot that I can't always find.
Me and my family are hopefully going to do a full moon ritual this full moon but if not that's fine because some things don't turn out the way you want them to and that's fine 🌝
I'm really glad we're being conscious and considerate of other practices but all types of sage as well as other plants were sacred to Native American people. We talk about white sage because it grows in California which is were a lot of "new age" influencers made it a trend but if tribes weren't local to the area they used other things. No hate to you at all, this is just a factor of this discussion I don't think enough people talk about.
Sure thing but white sage has been overexploited by non-Natives to commercialise. There's no white sage on my side of the world yet white sage is being sold in every spiritual store here. It's to the point their sacred plant is threatened to disappear. They cannot get access to their sacred plant freely anymore because corporates won't let them as it is "their" stocks. It's not just any sage. But you are right to say each type of sage seems to have its own symbolics and uses but honestly, just use an alternative and set the right intentions. These are plants, not genie lamps

Sage (2-3 european versions) were used in Slavic rituals too. I cringe at amounts of white sage imported to my country (Poland) - it's main problem is overharvesting, and we can use any sage (sage tea ffs) instead. So why on earth we're importing it (and huge amounts of palo santo lately) if culturally it can be any sage? Consuptionism and fashion I guess... We (my partner and me) bought one bunch of white sage before we knew what's going on, but we're not going make the same mistake again. And we're going to use it as last resolve only - and not for smudging. We can only hope that next fad will include something less awful, but I've got a hunch that it can only be worse...
@@bellpebber63 people would have different answers for you but personally, I think it okay to use a herb you've grown yourself and here's why. You're not giving money to a corporation who destroys the land or takes from indigenous people. Many herbs are sacred to many cultures and part of the development in the craft is realizing, practices and ingredients were shared and stolen all throughout history. Romans for example stole a crazy amount from places they conquered but many people still use Roman gods and practices. It's about being aware of the history of what you're doing. Engaging in another culture's practice you have no knowledge of for a frivolous reason isn't okay but using one of many herbs that indigenous people also used (as well as other cultures through history) when you grow it yourself, in my opinion is okay. Hey does anyone know what ringing in the right ear means ? I have had it constantly since I was 8 and sometimes it goes to the left ear only or both ears at the same time. Can someone tell me what it means and I'm a baby witch too.
It’s probably tinnitus. Most people have it these days from loud noises like music, machinery and large crowds. I suggest getting a hearing exam and mentioning the ringing to your examiner
Mine was caused by allergies and once I took my homeopathic allergy remedy it stopped. The only time they ring now is usually spiritual warnings and the way I can tell is: I stick my finger in the ear that's ringing and say "I hear you but I can't understand you. Please find another way to communicate what you want me to know or wait and tell me during dream time." And if it's a true spirit communication it will fade away and I'll get some cool but funky dreams or some other signs. 😁
0:55 if you decided to do this, be careful of what oils you use if you have pets. Some can be harmful to them, esepically if they breath them in ( i believe lavender is one of them, which they used in theirs ). A quick Google search should be good!
