A Geforce 1030 seems like it would fit in there nicely. Single slot, mostly half height at that, and some passively cooled. Good upgrade from the card used here.
I've got one in mine. I'm waiting on a Zotac 1050 OC now Its single slot and is short enough to fit wit that fan cowling.

They’re the thickness of a standard GPU, but only use one bracket on the case.

You added some 1600 MT/s RAM bars to the machine, but isn't the machine using 1066 MT/s RAM ?
on which sata port you connected ssd and on which sata port can a hdd connect as a secondary drive along a ssd, the port you connected with ssd on the left edge of motherboard is SATA-I, SATA-II, OR SATA-III?also there are two ports black and blue which one you chose?

Hi, I have this machine OPTIPLEX 780 Q8400 CORE 2 QUAD 8GB
I cannot for the life of me get windows 10 64bit to load. It will work from a bootable usb drive with 32bit windows 10 but as soon as I try to install the 64bit version it bluescreens. I've got the bios version updated to ao8. I have a asus 640 2gb graphics card that all seem to work fine. Just trying to get the 64bit has me stumpted. Any ideas? thank you john
Do the Optiplex 745, 755, 760, 770, and 780 all use standard ATX power?
I have a 745 and 760, Mini Tower (like this, the big one). Will standard ATX Power supplies work with them? Because it looks like you managed to get a standard ATX power supply working in the 780 and I'm unsure if the motherboards have the same pinout.
Update: I upgraded an Optiplex 760 with a completely bog standard aftermarket ATX power supply and it worked. Corsair CX500 (ew, but it serves fine for now)

i took to the good ol hack saw and trimmed down that big ass heat sink bracket thing, rx 560 would just barely not fit because of the location of the screw, what do you think about a 150 ti?

Yes it is possible but you will need an expansion card that fits in one of the pci express ports. It will run slower that the ssd does on a motherboard that has special m.2 ssd slots

the max cpu for socket 1155 is the i7 3770k.
Dell 780 is socket 775 so you can go with a Core 2 Quad Q9650

GPU manufacturers often like to overexaggerate on that, a GTX 1050 which doesn't require a 6-Pin connector will run just fine on a 265 watts PSU.

If you have at least 8 gb of ram, a nvidia gt 1030 lo profile and a good clean to the motherboard and the system, yes. Algo get a cpu, check online for compatible. I think a quad core is compatible for the motherboard. And a power supply. You aare going to spend at leat $120-$150 dollars
