Thanks for having me on Ben. This was a lot of fun even if I didn’t feel remotely qualified to judge your play!
I’m more interested to know, how bald were you in 2017?
loool wasn't till covid til i shaved it all off :D
@@BenaBadBeatPokerCovid truly did fucked us all up
Love your personality dude! By far the best and most humble guest/coach Pete has ever introduced us to!! Best of luck to you moving forward on the youtube streets, since you don’t need it on the poker streets 😉
appreciate the kind words mate! haha i could definitely do with a bit more table luck if the poker gods are dishing it out :D
Great format would love to see more.
ty mate!
Great content as always Ben! 🎉
ty mate!
Reluctant sharing of Bena algorithm but doing so anyway because he's a stellar guy
too kind🙏
You and Pete should definately make more videos together, great stuff!!
definitely keen to do so!
Nice one Ben! Thanks for the video/content!
cheers mate!
Ah man this was gold! The AhQc high call was amazing lol
the truest whale play ever 🤣
This deserves a channel of you two guys.
🙏❤️
Amazing content. @BenaBadBet, could you please share what are some major strategy changes have you experienced in your game since 2017?
back in 2017 you could rely massively on attacking capped ranges. this is still very true for smaller stakes games toady! now you have to be a lot more regulated as the meta these days is that no one folds but people are still quite reluctant to bluff
Great video!
ty bro! you’re in the archives 😻
KQo hand: Solver generally prefers a much bigger turn sizing after we xr the dry texture. 125 would be my standard, and this hand is right on the threshold, would only bet if I think V is very sticky and will find river bluffs. Solver is fine with betting KQo on turn to xc river but it mainly checks turn. If we bet turn, solver thinks river call is absolutely printing but I agree that it's not great. Villain needs to find every single A2s, A3s, A4s, 64s, Q3s combo, and also can't be jamming AK pure.
Very ambitious for sure. For that reason, x/r and turn x/c down line seems much better in the real word.
10000% agree with everything you've said here. i didn't mention this in the video but definitely wanna be using overbets ott. i think this hand just shows a real lack of range understanding. luckily it was 7 years ago :D
The 64s 4b is the most 2017 thing in this vid, love it!
hahaha legit
absolutly class
your introduction of your name was so goddamn fast, benabahbee here 💨 💥
hahaha
very nice vid guys
thanks mate!
I've heard of Ttsone and xPastorcitox, they both own an Argentinian stable now
beasts and legends of the game!
the last hand K3s bvb. isn't the Q really good for your range? since we rfi. high cards are gonna be better for your range than lower cards. the opposite to bu v bb for example
That’s what i thought as well. Specially if he’s raising Kx hands, QJ and QT hands are even more intuitive to have as x/r. Ax not so much tho
yoyo yeah you're definitely right but there are for sure other factors to consider. if ip is using single size otf then we prob have a range bet ott, but if splits are occurring, we likely end up having to check a decent amount of hands when ip is less filtered than us. as a general rule of thumb though, your heuristic is right
yeah IP bet quite big otf, so it makes sense to have more checks against that size+ potentially polar range construction.
I think the main gripe with the analysis from pete was when he said the Q is not good for SB range. Other than that, hand selection for betting turn is obv bad, so not much else needs to be said.
❤
yes lad
Boom
🙏
54s - think jamming is actually an option blocking 65s. hard to have much better bluff combo there than that
once we x riv, folding cannot be bad. maybe if guy is ool then calling makes more sense
agree with you! definitely very ool opponent too
chk call chk call chk decide ! is that not same outcome and just easier OOP
yes
i know i saw that hairline moving this video. your editor is slipping.
lmaooo
Apologies if my comment seems hateful, just a general question... Didn't Pete Clark fail and forfeit a 100z challenge earlier this year? What entices him to think that he has the expertise to review 500z?
not hateful mate! he hasn’t finished his challenge yet due to preparing and launching his training site (among other things as I understand it). also my channel isn’t educational, it’s meant to be more entertaining oriented and I invited Pete on. I also believe that Pete certainly has the expertise to review 500z!
Calling off 55? Are you tryna do your bollocks?
bollocks were done
Can u pls remove nit tag from me at gg...ty
hahaha what’s your sn??
@@BenaBadBeatPoker just joking..love your videos..
“True EV” is like exploitative
yep! but with a theoretical starting point
Really good content Ben. Well done!
thank you!
nice handselection, good content. Just dont like the way carrot corner seems to explain you everything...
that was what he was there for!
@@BenaBadBeatPokerseemed like you were not feeling it tho since you interrupted him a couple of times 🤔 👀 😅
Nobodies who got their big breaks appearing on punt or no punt, stealing the format for YT bucks.
lmfao
Definitely agree with Pete at 30:00 that 2 pair definitely does bet like this, for the exact reasons he said. I think possibly you’re giving people too much credit especially when they’re a person who’s told you they aren’t the most savvy and using block 1/3rd IP. I can’t imagine it’s bad though considering how your range is when you check river tho.
nowadays i certainly agree with you, but back then block ip was precisely thin value/cheap bluff. but again, i was wrong then too hahaha
