It's great to see some cross-talk from one domain to another. I suppose that the interests electronic composers and trendy side of the music business seems out of band, but it can be an interesting place to visit.
I would be interested in knowing how realistic or any informed speculation on the usefulness of mixing physical modeling as an effect process that would work with audio, live or recorded. I can imaging adding certain qualities to my synth or guitar that belong to much more rare cellos, violins or pianos.

you can even trigger Your Synthsounds with Microphone imput. If not mistacken Logic 8 Sculptor accept external microphone. And Impaktor App for the Drum-physical Modells cause Logic a is Melodic instruments..
So, you can feed your synth into these two Apps, and enhance it , like you said.. Imho they were the best ones with microphone imput, atleast when i researched it last time 6 years ago

Really interesting stuff. I assume this is a domain that is probably hard to dabble with recreationally? I'd love to try out physical modeling but it seems like the prerequisite knowledge is probably about three textbooks away.
Also those demo sounds at 33:55 are fantastic. Want.

There’s a few modules in VCV Rack for free that incorporate physical modeling and karplus-strong synthesis, and it’s pretty simple to patch and try things out without programming/advanced synthesis knowledge!
