Great information! I have always said that when your body tells you that you need to sleep or even take a short nap......do it! We would do well to learn and appreciate that our body knows what we need and we all need to build a better relationship with our bodies! Loved this discussion!
every boss, in this co*id era - that cares about their employees -, needs to watch this.
Thanks a lot, I'm stressed and I can feel ny nervous system is pressed sometimes. I really hope i can achieve prioritizing sleep habits as much as I want to
I am looking forward to the day when the sleep conversation changes from "good sleep keeps you healthy" to, "here are proven, non-medication, methods for improving your sleep quality and quantity".
Слава Україні! Look into Huberman's podcasts - including the 6 part series with dr. Matthew Walker. One of the simplest and most effective things to do for your sleep is to control how much light do you get through your day: morning sunlight exposure is a must - then at lunch - once more before sunset - and finally keep your environment dark or dim after sunset. Should be enough to start.
@@bioptimization Thanks for your comment. I have watched the podcast you refer to, and I generally have the routine you mention in regards to light exposure. I also do most the other stuff typically recommended for getting good sleep....exercise, not eating close to bedtime, etc., etc, but still have trouble getting enough sleep (6 hours, normally). I believe there's many like me, and we're hoping for improved guidance from the experts.
what to do for a deep sleep exactly please let us know step by step thank you
Fortunately I found a way to have a really good night sleep 😴 by using earplugs, I buy them in a chemist warehouse specially for sleep 💤.
I also suffered many years with insomnia. Now I have started meditation and deep breathing twice a day and before bed time. This is amazing and now I can sleep for six to seven hours. This is the only solution. I tried all the medication but all that worsened my condition. But believe me, only meditation is the solution. I am from India and follow Hindu religion. There are a lots of monks in India like Sri Sri Ravishankar who teaches meditation. Please follow him.
I've been to the emergency room 8 times in 9 months and 6 of those happened after 2 or 3 horrible nights in a row. Defective organs like hearts need deep sleep even more. Hard to get that sitting in a recliner.
Great video, Dr! Longevity is my favorite subject
How long do you want to live to if given the chance?

LUV!!
I love to sleep and dreams
This guy looks like a cross between the lead singer in an EMO band and a used car salesman. So, sleeping helps the brain and body recover....wow, why didn't I think of that. And we need to buy a book to to learn it? Ohhhhhkay.
That's classic!
A couple good tricks is never drink coffee cause it fucks up your sleep deeply which is correct.
Another trick I dunno is if it from this guy but use mouth tape to breath from nose when sleeping.
There are lot of optimizations that you can make to get a better sleep.
However you do not really need any if you wake up feeling GOAT after sleep.
Some people wake up feeling like shit or just normal.
I've been sleeping under a palm tree all my life no stress here.
💪🏻
Those microphones are pretty huge.
There's one health issue that can get worse with sleep in the first 24 hours - concussion.
Who helps me to sleep better?
lets spoon
melatonina
Quetiapina
@@IdontCare479 never
@@urzsulaz2604 that's what is working for me after a long long time without any sleep
So sleep and nutrition are the two most critical aspects for good health, and most doctors know very little about either. That is about the most infuriating, depressing, ridiculous statement I can think of.
complete wast of time ... sleep is importand what a surprise. Now news just timewasting chitchat
Stop talking, lights off!
