  • This is my friend's Aprilia RS 660 on a test ride!
The video was too long so it was best to split it in 2 parts.
What do you think of Aprilia's new supersport? Drop a comment if you own or wish to buy one!

Friend had a slight booboo so the lever got a little bent but thankfully it was the only damage he had.

Hi John T. I read in one of your comments, that you feel the shifter is jerky and hard to operate. I can confirm that. When downshifting without the clutch (AQS on of course), it‘s most obvious to me. Did you notice that also, when downshifting?

Downshifts were a nightmare. I was worried that the motorcycle will collapse under my ass. The QS was the worst on the RS. TCS suite was next and finally the rear suspension. If you ever ride a gen 3 MT09 like mine you will have your mind blown by how seamless the 6-axis imu works your traction.

Which you think is better between this and mt 09 for road use?

100% My 09! I didn't like a lot about this RS660 and I had very high expectations. Thankfully I made the right choice with Yamaha 😎

@@JohnTs46 if I may ask, what do you don’t like about the Aprilia?

@@DuePeriodico 1. Shifter - it's hard and switching gears even at high rpms feels jerky and slow.
      2. Engine - rattles alot, makes all kinds of noises when cold. Power was as expected.
      3. Electronics - Boy oh boy, tcs feels cheap and intervenes alot even at the lowest setting. You just don't know when to trust it.
      4. Suspension - You would expect at least a compression setting on the front for a bike like this. But no, basic preload and rebound settings front and back. Changing settings to rebound damp at rhe back requires unscrewing tail section with 4 bolts, not the kind of thing you like when trying out different setups.
These are the things that I didn't like about this bike, including its price tag.
