Had the chance to ride this little beast at the track! It is a very fun and safe little bike that will note scare a rookie rider. Not as fast as an R3 or a 390 but still very enjoyable! @@JohnTs46 damn, on your upshifts, it looked like you weren't touching the clutch at all.
@@andystoyanov8045 I wasn't! Practice makes perfect, you can do it for upshifts and with a little better timing for downshifts too without using the clutch

@@andystoyanov8045 these are fi and i highly recommend it! It's nothing really anyone can learn to do it with some practice and good throttle control! Thanks for the nice words though! How do you not rub the footblocks leaning this good on a MT07 ? I Always rub them when i lean too much & it's very frustrating because i know this bike can lean way more
Proper suspension setup. It scrubs due to soft settings on the rear, with a proper setup it's all ok
Yeah i just find out i can adjust the rear suspension with a key. Thank you for answering. Which notch do you recommend for dynamic riding?
@@MaxeW_SW turn the screw all the way clockwise then do 1/4 of a turn counter clock wise. also set the spring 1 seat away from max stiffness
Love this, brings back memories of the yellow first-gen MT I had with SC Project exhaust. Maybe the most fun bike I've ever ridden.

For competition use? Hmmm maybe I don't know. For practice though for sure yes!
@@JohnTs46 Thank you for answering my question and we can say speed rather than racing and will it compete with R 25 in terms of twin cylinders because people in Turkey have forgotten the Ninja 250 R and the parts problem is too much.

What needs to be done to these bikes for safety before they can do a track day?
They will undergo a safety inspection ensuring the parts are all in order. New/good tires are also super important and they need to have enough tread on them. Sometimes headlights are taped up to not interfere with other riders eyes. Usually, No puncture rear plugs are allowed when on a track too.

I have a Yamaha R6 and absolutely hated 250s I think this might be an exemption, this sounds amazing
I got a soft spot for these little old 8 valves. I've just semi-restored back on the the road a Suzuki GSX 250 Invader, it's 8 valve New Zealand only model from 2004 sounds awesome roughly 13.5k redline. The Invader was only designed for track use to compete with Ninja's 8 valve offering on the track, it has meatier a sound than the Ninja. I will upload a video in a couple of months time to share with people.

@@art29752 stroke 250s, the old kawi 250s and Honda 250s that redlines at 20k rpm and were 4 cylinders, the zx25r that kawi makes for Indonesia or something. Many better ones
@@liammcleod5223 true but we’re talking about beginner friendly street sport parallel twin bikes those old 2 strokes are fun but ur not gonna commute or daily them they are track machines

How tall are you and whats your weight? Im looking to get an MT-09 or an MT-09 SP just debating on whether the SP is worth it.
I am 178cm 85kg with full gear. If you are not a very demanding rider i suggest getting the base model

@@PtchersWR i would go for the SP based on that weight. Suspension works better

Single cylinder so not as fun and doesn't sound as good but other than that yeah besides it's newer so better fuel mileage and safer
I would not buy the SL version as I don't like it at all and i hate single cylinder street bikes 😜 try to find the twin cyl I'd say

I'm roughly 180cm, have no problems and there's plenty of space. You may just look kinda... big on it! No problems though
