Great riding man, great roads, great mods. You are prove that liter bikes are just to much for the road. You can play almost whole gearbox on this baby, where on a literbike it would be 1,2 maybe 3.
Thank you! You are right about that. A liter bike here would stay on 1&2nd gear the whole way. Maybe 3rd on some straights. The 660 is definitely a funner bike, but nothing can substitute the adrenaline of a liter power. ✌️
@@keltecdan I have heard some stories about reliability issues. I have been super lucky as I had no issues with mine. It runs flawlessly like a beast. But you also have to remember this. @@keltecdanhey man, thought I would answer as well because I happen to also ride a rs660. For me I had no trouble whatsoever and I’ve ridden it for 10,000km wich should be somewhere around 6200 miles. They really aren’t so unreliable, you just have to make sure you treat them well haha
Looks like the acceleration is quicker and the bike sounds wayyyy louder than before 👌🏾 you should get a Ohlins steering dampener too btw, those potholes will getchu especially here in Cali 🥲
I can hear the air intake a lot louder now and it definitely accelerates faster! Yeah my steering wobbles way too often. I want to get a stabilizer but I haven’t confirmed fitment with the stock fairings yet. I will look into it though.
Gosh! Do I love the intake/exhaust sound!! If I'm right, you're tuning the RS 660 for primary track weapon. Crazy questions: how did you break-in your engine? I'm doing a total 1,291 total miles, with the last limited to 9,500. Also, I like the exhaust sound- no desire to change it? Free flowing intake, with exhaust back pressure limiting success. Any thoughts?
No this is primary a street bike. I did up to 6k rpm for the first 600 miles and after the first service I redlined it. The stock exhaust sound is very unique. But it is limiting in power. Installing a no CAT exhaust with a good tune will make the bike run smoother and richer.
The triple and clip ons puts your upper body position where it belongs making you feel more planted to the bike and more in control. In the full tuck position its easier to stay low and be aerodynamic but where it really shines is the turns. When you hang off the bike, bringing your chin all the way down to the clip on, it feels proper and it allows you to lower down your upper body even more. *I’m uploading a new on board video in a few days.
What lever guards do you have on? I bought my spider ones when they were first came out so there wasn’t many but they sort of hit the stock levers and these look great
These lever guards will not fit the stock handle bars. These are just cheap universal guards that will fit most aftermarket clip ons. I got them from Amazon. Lever guards are meant to protect the brake lever from contacting another rider during a race, not to protect the levers from a fall. Therefore there is no need for expensive brand guards. I just put them because they look cool lol. These will do the job. This is the link: a.co/d/gqHuj21

Since I have the SC Project exhaust on, with air filter and stacks, I installed Gabros map RS660 21 RACE SCP FR STACKS. This map brings the turn signals in the headlights.
The butt dyno can always fool ya. But it does feel smoother with more torque mid range. I may do another dyno but only after I install the Jetprime PAIR to get better AFR numbers.

Its called a leg dangle and there is really no need for it on the street. Pro riders do it at the track at high speeds before the turn, to create wind resistance assisting them in slowing down faster by pulling them in the direction of the turn.
