I got my RS660 for $8,044.37 at 1 year old. For that price there is absolutely no way I would buy the 8R or the daytona. But if I was buying new, I could understand why people would get the 8R. The daytona dash is way too outdated for me personally.

Great to see some local content and comparisons. I test rode 2 of the three, missing out on the Triumph...for now. That Italian is a special 'little' bike, especially if you are looking to spend time on the track.

I have 8r in yellow. I love it for what it is. I would go Aprilia route, but quite concerned that it'd spend more time in the garage than on road. I wanna keep mine atleast for 5 years.

I have 2x 660 since 2020 and zero point zero issues! But don’t change exhaust without mapping.
I have 1000x more fun whit this bikes than the heavy 8R (Naked bike with Farring) it is too heavy and no emotion 🫥
Aprilia optic is 😍 and the sound ❤️
Is is light and easy to drive.

I mean Aprillia Launched the RS660 with a known to them major engine issue. It's not that I don't trust the reliability of the bike itself (although it does tend to score low in consumer reliability reporting), it's that I don't trust the integrity of the brand to sort it out when it does go wrong.

Dude you knocked it out the park, I loved this format. And thanks for the comparison. I have a 2008 Triumph Tiger 1050 and love the triple but find it a bit heavy for my average 5 ft 9 frame...but been wanting to get on a test ride with the Daytona 660... I was just concerned with front end weird handling and no feedback complaints at launch... But maybe they have worked it out. Greetings from North Carolina.

RS660 is an amazing bike and probably the best bike in the segment. I got one an year back and have put around 8000km up till now. There were some issues with the bike early on which kind of ruined the whole experience for me but they got sorted out thanks to the good service. Other than that it's am amazing bike.

Because 8R have very strong low and mid range. The top end is the weak part. That is why when you drive without reving it hard it feels strong.

you have to learn how to use QS any bike. It is worth to use very small amount of the throttle to make it way more smoth. Overall QS at the 2 cylinder engines is rough. At the inline 4 is way smother.

Even my heart goes to RS660 I've bought 8R. More comfortable, more reliable, you have mirrors, engine is not too hot, tourque from bottom, you can maintain it by yourself... 8R biggest con is lack of this italian something:) RS660 is best second bike:)

While I like alu style triple clamp on the RS 660 the GSX has super cool modern looking cockpit. The Triumph definitely feels like a bit of let down in this department, but it's built to a price and have invested a lot in buffing that engine over the Tiger and Trident.

Is it? Modified frame yes, very heavily modified engine, completely new bodywork. You could level the same criticism of the Suzuki and the Aprilia for that matter. That Aprilia engine is used multiple times, Piaggio switchgear used on multiple bikes, dash etc. All of these manufacturers have to maximize the use of common components to keep the price down.
