    These videos are massively helpful. I have dyspraxia and the different angles of the camera and simple explanations allow me to understand it all perfectly clearly.
    Thank you so much.

    2:20 This also help's other driver's if there going over poor road surfaces, so they have the space to steer around "potholes/crater's".

    At 2.40 he goes round the roundabout and indicates left to come off but indicates before the sugar factory but comes off exit after is this correct and what should be done?

    • @AdvanceDrivingSchool
      @AdvanceDrivingSchool  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I indicate to change lanes, cancel the signal as I pass exit 4, then indicate again to take my exit. I prefer to change lanes earlier than usual on that roundabout as it’s safer than doing it quickly after exit 4.

    I'm watching this because I'm thinking of taking lessons. One thing that drives me made is when people don't indicate, I hadn't realised it is against the law not to.

    • @AdvanceDrivingSchool
      @AdvanceDrivingSchool  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most of the Highway Code is just official advice. Only when it states ‘you must…’ is there an actual law about something. However, we also find it frustrating when inconsiderate drivers are too lazy to indicate property!

    Thanks for everything you do for the learner community. Can a learner do away with fifth gear on driving test. I think dual carriageway can be safely driven up till 4th gear. For some reason I dread using 5th gear and loose my focus from road to gearbox.

    • @AdvanceDrivingSchool
      @AdvanceDrivingSchool  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That depends on the car and the speed you are driving at. In our experience most cars cruise better at 60mph+ in 5th or 6th gear. On the test you might be given a minor fault for staying in 4th gear, but it won’t affect the test result. Maybe just practice selecting 5th a little more until you are happier to use that gear. This video might help: How To Change Gear: th-cam.com/video/Qox41xUgriQ/w-d-xo.html 👍🏼

    Yet again, another video job, well done 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿. And Mr ADS (I know your names Matt, but I like Mr ADS better 😁) you made that seem effortless 😂😂. I was watching it (from start to finish) with my mum and said "he makes it seem SO easy, I think I could do that. But in reality I'm screaming for my mum, because I'm going TOO FAST" 😂😂😂. Yet again. Job well done 👍🏿. And if you're stopping at KFC.. Can I have a big daddy box meal please? You know, for being your biggest fan 😁😂😂😂😂

    I have found your videos very helpful, i have my test in Bury st Edmunds in 2 weeks. i was wondering if you could answer me a question. if you are driving up a slip road to join the dual carriage way and you indicate and check your blind spot but you cant find a safe gap to join should you slow right down or even stop on the slip road? i was just wondering what you should do in this scenario

    • @AdvanceDrivingSchool
      @AdvanceDrivingSchool  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We should adjust our speed in order to take whatever gap is available. We often need to accelerate or brake to do this, but it is very very rare to actually stop on the slip road. Good luck on your test! 🤞🏼

    Why does the GPS speed reading differ from the car speed reading? 7:47

    • @AdvanceDrivingSchool
      @AdvanceDrivingSchool  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's because the GPS data is accurate, but the car's speedometer under-reads a little, to allow for the fact tyres get smaller as they wear.

    Safer than motorways?

    On a 2 lane slip road which lane should you aim to be in- right or left

    • @AdvanceDrivingSchool
      @AdvanceDrivingSchool  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We drive on the left, unless we need to overtake slower traffic.

    How fast i should drive on dual carrige way on my driving test?
    55m/h is enough or keep closer to 70mh?i hear many different storys abt it😓

    • @AdvanceDrivingSchool
      @AdvanceDrivingSchool  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We must keep up with the flow of traffic. If the road is clear, we like to stay above 60mph - so lorries don’t have to try and overtake us. In heavy traffic, just follow the car in front at a safe following distance. 👍🏼

    I have a problem when I change a gear especialy from 1st to 2nd. After I move a gear leaver from 1st to 2nd and than lifting the clutch my car slows too much. What you recomend to me to do? Did I need to add gas as I'm changing a gear?

    • @AdvanceDrivingSchool
      @AdvanceDrivingSchool  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It might be that you are changing gear at the wrong speed? Try to follow what we do in this video: How To Drive A Manual Car: th-cam.com/video/rKqdFlzILZc/w-d-xo.html 👍🏼

    Why during lane change sometimes indicator is not used?

    • @AdvanceDrivingSchool
      @AdvanceDrivingSchool  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We only need to indicate when it would help someone else understand what we are about to do. If there isn’t anyone nearby then it’s OK no to signal.

    • @AdvanceDrivingSchool
      @AdvanceDrivingSchool  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Most (but not all) dual-carriageways have the national speed limit. The actual speed will vary depending on the type of vehicle you are driving. This video might help:

    • @TopherChris-i7x
      @TopherChris-i7x ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi , exit 2 has a left hand bend sign with 20mph on it . I’m not an expert, this could be advisory.

    • @TopherChris-i7x

      @@AdvanceDrivingSchool Hi, 8:23 - left hand bend sign .

    • @AdvanceDrivingSchool
      @AdvanceDrivingSchool  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! A rectangular sign is only for our information, rather than an order contained in a round sign. So in this case they suggest 20mph for the next corner - but the national speed limit still applies. In a modern road car 20mph seems unnecessarily slow so we drive a little faster. 👍🏼
