"Your insights, Sivasankaran, are truly inspiring and eye-opening! The way you explained metabolic health, the benefits of autophagy and fasting, and the importance of choosing the right cooking oils was remarkable. Highlighting the impact of omega-6 on cell inflammation and the role of omega-3 in boosting metabolic health really makes us think about the food choices we make daily. Your guidance on avoiding frequent eating is so practical and relevant. Thank you for sharing such valuable knowledge and helping us move towards a healthier lifestyle!"

My daughter says that Indians overeat because of our history of ancestral starvation. I am blessed to be always slim no matter how much I eat but I still strive to eat healthy and in moderation. I keep away from sugar and bad fats. I take a spoon of A2 ghee first thing in the morning then a green juice with ginger and lemon and 1 tbsp olive oil. I wish health and wealth to all. Namaste!🙏💕

Hello Dr Pal, I have become really addicted to these informative podcasts of yours. One thing that I always tend to do is press on the share button to send it to my parents, but then I realise that all these discussions are in english and that becomes a barrier while sharing with them. Just a request if your team could dub your episodes in multiple languages and share those through a separate channel. Btw, I am a big fan of your podcast. With lots of respect 🙌🙇🏻

Precisely. No need to consume all that. Just eat what ever is available locally. All these fancy imported food will only empty your pocket. Watch Dr. Khader Vali podcasts for more info. He said Indians consume Omega 6 based oils, Which are those, he never said.

There is no need for Dr. I was born in a similar family. When I was 15 , I was fat. My dad died with diabetes at the same time. My uncle said it is next me. A wake-up call for me. I started eating correctly. No fried and more rice, veg and fish. Started HIIT. There was no concept of HIIT then. All I did myself at home. Pull ups weights were grinder rotator. Chairs etc. fast forward now I’m 53. No diabetes everyone else on my family has including siblings.
I became vegan in 2017 or so.
I helped a friend of mine who was using insulin from age of 32. He ate only vegan food and reversed diabetes with no insulin at the age of 44.
You can eat fruits or dosa idli in moderation breakfast ( I don’t eat breakfast 95% of the days), lunch rice with vegetables and yogurt. Evening soup.
I look young, late 20’s. And sleep well. Be happy.
I’m in Europe , married to an European and living healthy. And don’t drive only use bicycle or walk.
❤ good luck you can reverse it. Diabetes is not genetic it’s lifestyle especially type 2.

Sir namaste. I am dr of ayurveda, here are some classical explanation of wet and dry ginger,
Difference between fresh ginger and dry
    ginger (ginger powder):
Ardraka - Wet Ginger- Rooksha (Dry) -+
    Ushna (Hot)
Shunti - Dry Ginger - Snigdha (unctuous
    oily) + Ushna (hot)
Wet ginger has dryness (Rooksha) and dry
ginger has some oiliness or unctuousness in
it.Wet ginger - Bhedini - can cause diarrhoea
    or more useful in constipation,
Dry ginger - Grahi - absorbent, bowel
binding useful in IBS. It also relieves constipation, but not so useful as wet one in
    relieving constipation
Dry ginger is Snigdha - unctuous, oily hence
tolerable for a long period of time. Hence, it
can be used for a long time. Effect of wet
ginger is seen more on the stomach and
    intestines.
Effect of dry ginger is seen both on stomach-
intestines (Jatharagni) and at tissue level
    (Dhatvagni).
Ardraka - wet ginger is called Ruksha (in the
    second line) - dryness

Vow, finally an indian heath expert who openly accepts the fact tat excess omega 6 ( linoleic acid ) present in seed oils is bad and fructose in its purest form is several times worse than glucose ( glucose can be used by all ur body cells but fructose can only be metabolised by ur liver to visceral fat directly contributing to hepatic insulin resistence , ie fructose stimulates ghrelin ( tat stimulates hunger ) and causes leptin resistence ( hormones responsible for satiety ) , ie u never feel full by eating fructose ( fruits and honey ) so basically fructose is a carb of visceral fat, from a evolutionary perspepective fructose was available in. Excess only during autumn just b4 winter ( tats y it's called fall ) , since hunting and animal meat is really hard to find in winter , prehistoric humans ( even bears now just b4 hibernation ) build ridiculous amt of visceral fat by eating fruits and honey to survive winter ), but one more thing the monounsaturated fat ( omega 9 - oleic acid ) present mainly in nuts and olive oil wich acts as a precursor to arachidonic acid ( omega 6) wich is an important constituent of animal cell membrane and inflammatory mediators ( arachidonic acid derivatives ) is not essential at all cos the body can synthesise it from other sources , the only reason omega 3 ( fishes ) ( alpha linoleic acid - precursor to dha - imp constituent of brain and epa- again imp constituent of animal cell membrane and inflammatory mediators ( eicosanoids ) and omega 6 linoleic acid - precursor to arachidonic acid - again imp constituent of animal cell membrane and inflammatory mediators ( arachidonic acid derivatives) ie the only reason omega 3 and omega 6 r essential cos our body has to get it from diet and cannot synthesise them on its own , but too much of it will cause inflammation in the form of inflammatory mediators and directly utilisation of any unsaturated fat ( mono - omega - 9 r pufa - omega 3 r 6 ) for energy at cellular level will cause inflammation by the breakage of carbon to carbon double bond - worse in case of pufa - omega 6- seed oil than mono unsaturated fat- omega 9- nuts and olive oil cos of the presence of multiple carbon to carbon double bonds , the breakage of carbon to carbon double bond release of free radicals and formation of trans fat ) leading to inflammation at a cellular level, saturated fat may not be essential but it is the only fat tat can be burned for energy at a cellular level with the least inflammation , plus the saturated fatty acids - palmitic and stearic acids r good for ur skin and hair health ( there is a reason y highest quality soaps contain stearic and palmitic acids - ie they're very stable , keep ur skin soft and healthy while linoleic acid ( omega 6 ) is an important constituent of quick drying paints ie it is highly unstable, prone for lipid peroxidation , disintegrates and dries up quickly ) , lauric acid wich is a medium chain saturated fatty acid present in coconut oil increases ur HDL, contributes to immunity and acts as a direct source of ketones like ( beta hydroxy butyrate ) wich is a super fuel for ur brain tissue, bcos inspite of being called a glucose hungry organ our brain is really bad at storing r utilising glucose ie the glycogen wich is predominantly stored in astrocytes has to be converted to lactate for efficient use by brain neurons , directly utilisation of glucose by ur brain neurons will exhaust their mitochondria , leading to brain fog r brain fatigue ( this is one of the principle reasons y u get very tired r sleepy after a carb rich meal apart from the fact tat ull hav a glucose spike , followed by insulin spike , leading to fall in blood glucose leasing to fatigue and more hungry wich is already well known ) , and mystric acid ( another saturated fatty acid present in milk similar health benefits ) ...
