@@OscarCooking Yeah I'd agree. It varies a bit with different categories like trail, enduro etc... but I feel like if you're over $1.5k its hard to call it budget. I wish it was easier to get an upgradeable budget bike... with tapered head tube, thru axels etc.
Great bike! a bit cheaper than the Spectral 5 I had on here with the current sale price. I chose the Spectral because I like the 64 degree head tube angle.... buuut that is largely because I live in the Pacific Northwest and most of our trails are steep. If I was somewhere where I was doing more cross country style riding or with tighter trails with more quick flat turns I would probably opt for the Neuron 5 over the Spectral 5 between those two. Cheers!
Seriously! It is a bummer and the industry as a whole. A lot of different factors... Seems like some smaller companies are able to stick around through it but mid sized are hit hard. I do hope when all is said and done it isn't just the big dogs left...
Hey man - thank you! Bikes online is the best place to find Polygon. Here is a link to the Siskiu D5 - bikesonline-usa.sjv.io/4GJx0Z are you looking at getting one?
Thanks for the update! Given the sale they may start running low on stock going forward for sure! The price has dropped and size availability gone down since I started putting this together.
Since budget is a very subjective term... let me know what price defines a budget mountain bike to you?
I’d say under 1500

Such a shame to see these companies ending 😢

It's worth mentioning that GT bicycles filed for bankruptcy. You can get the bike half price, but the warranty may be effectively useless
Yes both GT and Rocky in similar situations. The price of the Rocky here just went down further. Definitely worth weighing the pros and cons.
GT didn't file for bankruptcy, Pon is just killing the brand.
@@jdmbeaner182 I stand corrected. The net effect is the same however.
