    Was curious about opening my ESC Module to maybe upgrade my Receiver on my Kraton 8s and luckily this video was one of the first ones. I love the camera view and narrating, I love this new hobby I recently got into

    i didn’t realize how old this was but i sure needed I never thought it was going to be this EASY 😮 I’m shocked been looking for a video like this for a few months. i bought the EXB version it was missing wheel wrench , it had no glue on one tire, left upper arm broken with like a crack and a lot of slop, all shocks leaking from bottom... i just received a care package basically even sway bars took.
    thank you 🙏 did i need this

    Just ordered this truck. I found your presentation very informative and enjoyed watching-even though 2 years after you produced it.

    Nice video. These types of videos are really useful, and seem to just get repeated views over time.
    Well done!

    Good to see you keep your fuilds up. 😂 Good vid. Tidy Rig too. Enjoy.
    PS: It is better to take to skid plates off before you slide the rear and front and that way to dont damage to O'rings that seal the lower diff housing. Up to you tho.

    The thick bead rolls in the chassis are exactly what these trucks (including the 6s versions) need. I’ve said it since the v4 came out. That being said, if there was a way to extend the bead rolls the entire length of the chassis, it would not bend near as easily (at least not front to rear). That may interfere with the attachment of the font and rear diffs, but I’m sure they could figure it out. Where do bends normally occur? Right at the front or back, where the chassis narrows at the front and rear bulkhead attatchment points. That’s where those bead rolls are needed most. This would lessen the need for pricey aftermarket chassis. Thanks for the tear down, informative👍🏻

      @jessewoodworth3888 ปีที่แล้ว

      But if the chassis were not to bend so easily there would be no need for the aftermarket high dollar chassis everyone's buying.Its all apart of there strategy 😉

    Instead of waiting for a bigger servo mount, why not use a reducer and get a Savox 2290sg? Over 900oz of torque at 8.4v in a standard case

      Did I just see dual droop screws per arm? I was looking for them thinking "wow wonder how big those monsters are gonna be?", then saw dual M4s🤔

    • @bicketybamRC
      @bicketybamRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The highest the Max5 puts out is 7.4 and from what I can see that puts the 2290 at 694 oz. Not enough. Plus I know the optional electronics mount is due very soon 😎👍👊

    Would it be ok to use a heat gun on the screws under the chassis cause they are way to tight and must have a good amount of thread lock

      I hear you, Eric. I don't do many but I figured since I was tearing it apart anyway I would try and help some people out. I remember when I first started with Arrma 18 months ago. I relied on "How to" videos all the time. Now I just wing it 😎👍👊

    The black connectors on the end of the motor fan wire and the ESC fan wire on mine was broken off during a crash, can those ends be replaced or can those wires be soldered back inside?

    • @bicketybamRC

    Great Video buddy 👌 👌 First tear down I've seen on TH-cam of K8S! Can you tell me please what you use to heat up Threadlocked Screws? I use a Soldering Iron which works most of the time & gets in nooks n crannies, but sometimes just not enough heat!! Do you use torch maybe? TIA
