Man, thanks for this - super helpful and clear. I'm liking my Kraton 8, but yeah, the steering could be better, so servo and receiver change coming soon. Too bad you can't get out at the moment, hope that situation changes.
Hey Bro...I got inspired and went for it... everything went great BUT when it came to replacing the horn back on the new servo (BTW I went with the sv-0236 can't go wrong if u got it) it wasn't fitting flush as you described... can you tell me exactly how you did it to go on a little better..... Thanx bro
I got it thanks anyways.... I kept watching and listening to ur video over and over again and it clicked to give sumthin a shot LOL. I threw caution to the wind and dremeled about 2 to 2.5mm off the end and WORKS like a charm..... for now LOL but it looks and feels solid ill keep u posted if sumthin goes south
Question my how to get my steering correct on my radio. Meaning if my setting on the radio is (ST N.R) I would have to switch it to (R) in order for it to be regular on my radio.
Yes usually you have to either have the stirring on normal or reversed whenever you put it in if normal or reversed whenever you put a new servile in cause the orientation on the servile motor couldn't and on the servo motor could be different than the factory servo though as far as your radio I'm not exactly sure deal I'm not exactly sure what radio you have
Great info Alex. Q Please? I bought the 1/5 scale reciever box & already went ahead & got the JX Servo on oder - JX PDI-HV2070MG 73KG However I noticed the Spline is 17T !! The stock is 15T like your big Savox in this Vid... My Q is is there Plastic parts I can get to make this JX Servo work on K8S? Thanks 🙏
This is the point where you will have to do some custom modification to get it to work you can get it to work all you need is a long Servo horn arm it's the same spline as your Servo 17 tooth but for the linkage you're going to have to do a little extension piece of aluminum is threaded in the center you can probably get one of those for like rock crawlers for like some leakage just kidding will short one that's a quarter inch
I run the JX 2070 in my K8s and it went right on the splines. LowPriceBro on Ebay gets these shipped to your front door for $43 within 10 days from overseas. I've used this servo in all my bigger trucks, never a failure. Compare the 73kg numbers....cant beat it!! Nice video btw. Modded mine, didnt know about this option lol. Getting it for my Outcast 8s RN though!
How did this work out for you? I installed a Spektrum S905 in my 8S EXB and I'm looking for an upgrade but this one seems to have the same torque as mine (Torque @7.4v - 40.0kg/555z-in).
@16:10…. You’re talking about adhesion promoter that’s used on raw bare plastic aftermarket bumper covers when performing a new paintjob to allow the paint and primer to stick to bare plastics? The same adhesion promoter which is used in the auto body paint industry? Bulldog adhesion promoter? Don’t forget to remind ppl adhesion promoters contain *Ethylbenzene and *Styrene which are cancer causing and should never be spayed indoors. If you don’t mind me suggesting *pre-clean or *prep solvent which is more appropriate for 3M double sided tape applications on all type plastics. Even home alcohol will suffice. The problem with *adhesion promoters is that it will remain tacky bcs it is a thermo plastic solution and has potential to return to a liquid state when exposed to the elements like humidity, rain water and heat. Because of this it will prevent the more stronger adhesive glue on the 3M tape to not make full contact onto the plastic surface. *Pre-clean will remove the oils from the plastic which is what to REALLY want, so to get a very dry surface instead of a tacky surface that will fail in the future.
If you want to use and suggest the BEST product for ultimate plastic adhesion for dry applications, there’s products that are used on bare plastic kinda like an alcohol wipe and it’s meant for raw plastics… it pulls and removes the oils contained in raw plastics. Bulldog and other spray adhesion promoters are only designed for paint applications bcs these solvent based paints penetrate into each other in tandem. These solvents are volatile.
Doing this tomorrow that for the video! I just learn better watching a video. Thx man

you dont need to mark it with a sharpoie thre is a centre notch on the upper steering bulk head you line your arm up with
How did you put it back together the video just just to you being done
Where do you find the servo mount? It is impossible to find
Very informative. Thanks
Hi great video. I installed same servo. What bec Voltage do u set in esc settings? Im using the xlx2.
whats up Alex! you should get an Arrma Infraction dude
How tight is the 2.5 screw supposed to be...?

Do you run this Savox servo on 8.4v?
I run it on 8.4 with the stock esc with a hobbywing i run 7.4 and it has been good
Are you running this at 8.4v? Any issues?
No I haven't had any issues with it its been working great for me I wouldn't go any higher on voltage
Great work bench video, 👍👍👊🏻👊🏻. Some great insight into changing the servo. 💪💪. Why did you Change? Bash on 😎😎
You still running?
Yes I'm very sorry for not making any videos I was involved in a bad motorcycle accident and I broke my back
