      @@adieamad5194 That is indeed a great strategy to strike the "alpha" attacker right at the start. It sends a strong message to the rest of the group. However, it doesn't necessarily means the others won't come at you. You need to be prepared for anything. Stay safe

    There can be tons and tons of videos of how to fight off multiple attackers, but it's always different when you have experienced the actual situation/attack.
    As i was taught, when fighting multiple attackers, you KO (or seriously debilitate) the nearest attacker 1st, and line all the bad guys up to create a narrow vision for yourself. Have the mindset of "Fight to Escape"... It's more difficult fighting more than one bad guy than it actually looks and sounds. More than likely, you'd get hit or injured pretty bad. But this video was very helpful.

      Generally a very bad idea, unless youre trained with weapons or its a guaranteed upper-hand. A knife? Sure. A bat? No, probably not. A gun? Obviously. Weapons, generally, limit your available options and make you more predictable. Work on toughening your knuckles and precision/power in your punches, they cant be taken.

    First rule is never to lose self-confidence.
    Second rule is always to look at all directions and make sure your opponents are in front of you so they don't backstab.
    Third rule(if you a wrestler) never look for takedowns or you'll be stomped on the ground by other opponents. Instead use boxing/Muay Thai skills.
    The rest rules come from your fighting training and skills you've learnt from your gym/dojo.

    • @Broccoli-m9h
      @Broccoli-m9h 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Third rule is to stay calm and chill as much as possible. Because if you're frightened you might take a wrong decision whether it's a knife/gun fight.

    Well done. Yep that’s how it’s done. The goal is to survive the attack at all costs. I have employed the same strategy on more than one occasion and it works. It doesn’t happen often but it DOES occur. The line theory works during a riot too. The one thing to avoid is letting one or more to get behind you. Good vid!

    Thanks for the video. The most important thing in a dangerous situation with multiple attackers is not to beat them all but to survive ( So let's forget about being a hero). We should always choose the less risky option if there is one ( for example, running instead of staying there to fight ). Fighting multiple attackers should be done only as a last resource in case there is no other better choice.

    Good advice. Good video. I might disagree with number four. If you try to anchor with one of the assailants, they won't be as passive as your demonstrators. The moment you start grappling with someone is when they start grappling with you as well. Group attackers may recognize that if they tie up with you, you're going to be stationary and the rest can swarm you. If it was me, I would avoid any form of grappling and stick to striking and moving as best as I can. That's just my opinion.

    I had a 4 on 1 situation and I used some of the techniques here and it did help a lot but the approach I took was to hit the biggest guy because as soon as he walked up to me the others were planning to strike and encircle me.
    I ended up locked into a standing arm and shoulder tussle with the big guy as the others started swinging. I knew that they were going to be launching bombs so using the big guy as an anchor I was able to stay low and swing him into their punches.
    Fortunately for me this happened in a club where I knew many people and they came in to help me but I was able to land several blows on the big guy once it was 1 on 1 I got him up against the bar and put him to sleep, his other friends ran because I knew almost everyone in the club as they were chasing them out of the club. Good breakdown on the defensive techniques, I know firsthand they work.

    This man is clearly one of the best and most dangerous people I’ve seen .. If you’re trying to pick apart the things he’s saying you’re nor paying attention .. He’s not saying to get tied up with the anchors for a long period of time it’s done quickly and if you control that one for a few seconds then you move on to the next attacker but there’s a momentary buffer in between .. If you pulled a weapon out as some of you are stating on this man he’d have another gear to go into attack mode

    i am involved in a lot of street fights and this person makes sense, Obviously it won't always work but i am pretty sure, in a street fight with many opponents be on the edge of the group and definitely look for exits and always look for exits as it gives you a chance to run away as well! it is quite helpful. And you should be always moving, don't stuck in one position for more than a 2 seconds, if you do you are busted.

    Good video. I would add, that when you do strike, then do so with full prejudice and look to cause maximum NON-LETHAL damage.. With assailants off balance as they grab at you, they are also vulnerable.

      @soullight8632 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +St tom you just want to get out safe. He said full prejudice with each strike, meaning each strike is to hurt the other people to survive. Putting non-lethal (but still effective) force to the strikes doesn't turn actions that are for pure survival into actions that are meant to try to kill the other people (lethal force)

    • @sainttom6785
      @sainttom6785 8 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      +SoulLight what I meant is that it's multiple guys, so at that point who cares what happens to them. At some point I think people need to let being the better man go. My only focus would be getting out safe. whether that was running away, punching someone in the throat or doing something less dangerous if that was the opportunity that was presented. If it's highschool, you don't want anything lethal because they are stupid kids that only want to rough you up, but if I got jumped on the street, I don't think I'd be so worried about the other guys.

    Great video. I’m thinking of a street fight I saw where a boxer basically beat up 20 or more guys who were attacking him. He kept evading and hitting the first guy, then evading and moving on the edges to put them in a straight line, always knocking down the first guy or pushing him into the next and running. His attackers finally gave up and I don’t think he got hit more than a couple times.

    The time I knew I'd picked the right instructor to learn from was when I heard one of the students ask the instructor what the best thing to do in a gang fight was, and he replied "run". He elaborated that even if you take one down you should always be looking for an exit, because as time goes on your odds of getting out unscathed get smaller and smaller.

    nice video. n yes when u are fighting multiple attackers the best thing to do is avoid a fight, that being said u must always look for an opportunity to escape even if u manage to knock out one or two or even more from the group. Don't get carried away n think of knocking out all. most important thing while u train is to train to get hit too coz in a real fight u will get hit and that shakes the world out of u

    I don't have my own dojo. But I do have a few year's military and private security experience. I have also been a professional bouncer for 25 year's, and I train MMA 4-5 day's a week. So I have been in many hundreds of Street fights, lots with multiple attacker's. And if witnessed hundreds more fights. And I can honestly say that this video is shit! This may work for a highly trained martial artist, who is very fit and fast. But for the other 99.9% of the population. If you are attacked, run as fast as you can. If you cannot run. Pick up the first weapon you see, and hit as many attacker's you can. As hard as you can. Your only hope is to keep your back to the wall, and try to keep one attacker between you and the rest, so grab him, and use him as a shield. Till you can run away. Don't listen to people just because they have a martial arts gym. Most haven't had a real right in their life. Listen to people who have done it for real.

Create obsticles and try to look for a weapon or a way to cut the chase loose. I’ve once seen a fight where close to 10 guys chasing down my friend (lets just call him H). H ran and kited them to the school kitchen, H got there first and grab the biggest knife and started swinging. All other guys ran in panic and H survived that day.

      AND not even the most trained can get out of multi attackers.
      NOT even Steven Seagal, in his grading... Blah... I started Aikido bc of him. I have done other martial arts. Have families in the selling equipment and schooling.
      100%. They said don’t try. You will die if you try to fight 4 people. 2, yesh.
      It is better to run. SO NO need to bulk up. Be lean and do distance running.
      You will need the endurance to out last your attackers.
      Most people forget that Aikido derived from the sword fighting methods.
      You COMMITTED and you prepared to DIE, with the cut you made. You must prepare to die.
      FIGHTING is not finished, until someone die in reality. Because 100% sure, they or I myself will come for your gold fish, your dog, your cat even the spider that on your wall and the rest of what live in the house.
      SO it is best to avoid get into fight.
      Just be a good person. BUT fuck jail.
      You want to fight YOU must prepare to die.
      ❤️ respect your opponents.

    Always move and break the circle and make your assailants form a line. This same technique was used by the samurai when sword fighting multiple opponents. Also, use the ground and terrain (if there's a tree or telephone pole hide use it as a temporary shield) and position the enemies to form stationary picks (yes, like basketball) so one enemy's body blocks another enemy's attack.

    Kicking worked beautifully for me, so i dont know what you are talking about on that one. Other than that, generally good advice. Use what ever works, and take the fight to them until you can get away.

      Sam Escobar Not the worse for someone who knows what they doing. But if you're not a good kicker, stick to low type kicks that are less risky over all for low skilled people. I am trained in Taekwondo for over a decade. So kicking for me, is easy peasy.

    I've taken taekwando, karate and grappling...thank God. I never really had to use it except really once. My vehicle had broken down and had to walk about ten miles home. I was on a bridge going over a bayou in Louisiana. 5 guys came up to me wanting money, I didnt have any
    Gave them my wallet and they werent happy. One shoved me. I immediately hit him and latched on to him. Moving him in circles. I then hit the closest guy as hard as i could then took off. I ran track in highschool. At the time I was 22. I outran them. Through trees, irregular ground and finally hit the street. The only reason i got away was because of my training in breathing in track and the martial arts. Fighting multiple opponents is 8n the movies, in real life get away, and fast. Great video.

    excellent video. i used the line teq in a fight before against 3 people, it works. the one thing you didnt emphasize in the video would be the use of dirty strikes. Which i should have used in hindsight. A poke to the eyes is better than a jab. a claw across the eyes is better than a hook. a kick to the balls is better than a leg kick. in the end you must take what is available but the strategy should be dirty striking and exit. ! poke to the eye the opponent is done

    • @mauricedoss5339
      @mauricedoss5339 ปีที่แล้ว

      How about doubling it up, suppose you eye poke, followed by a punch,or a kick to the balls, followed by a leg kick. Be brutal but at the same time focused by following the attacks you explained by other,how do you think that would play out.

    • @CityPopPenthouse
      @CityPopPenthouse ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mauricedoss5339 when fighting multiple opponents you have to take what you can get and not get grabbed or its over. you have to move so that one is in front of you and the others are behind him. that doesn't leave alot of time for combos

    Hi @Fight SCIENCE, thank you for your reply. I know this is online and people come out with rubbish all the time. All I can say is I am a black belt and I have the greatest respect for those with the self discipline to embrace any martial training. I am an ex marine and prison officer in a category A prison, with lots of anecdotal experience. In my misspent youth I worked security in some very rough clubs. From my experience, and you can call me a fool if you want, is that the disconnect between training and real life hand to hand combat is vast. I know black belt practitioners who are brilliant who couldn't fight their way out of a wet paper bag. On the other hand I know guys who wouldn't know a dojo from a hole in the ground who are seriously scary. I always think it's the responsibility of any instructor to point this out to a student. I wish you peace and love and hope you and your family are safe and well during this awful pandemic.

    One problem the more attackers the less you have to restrict the harm you do to them, while in defence mode, that turns to attack mode, so if it is deadly against you do the same to them make them pay with their lives before yours. your choice not theirs or others.

    Lol this guy threw a heavy piece of ice at my eye and I literally couldn't see so I spinning back kicked him and he went flying in to the little hill behind him, and now he got his 20 y/o brother (im 13) and 4 other 12 and 13 y/o's and now he wants to fight me, HE was like "I am gonna get my college friends" lol I was gonna laugh but then I thought wrong time... I'm also a Black Belt in karate i've been doing it for nearly 5 years, but it couldn't hurt to watch some videos. I honestly think I could kick his ass but then again I don't wanna start a fight.

    One person grabs you, your done. I have fought 5 people at the same time. The most important rule, one he didn't cover is do not go down. As long as you are on your feet you have a chance. I use the attackers against themselves. He's right about keep moving, a still target is an easy target. Get them to bunch together limiting their movement and their ability to strike. They don't want to hit their friends. Now if they know what they are doing, your done! I fought 8 people one time. I had a concision, 3 broken ribs, 2 broken fingers. 2 of them went to the hospital, I did not. They had weapons, I did not. Once they had had enough they ran off and the the cops showed up, arrested me and charged me with 8 counts of assault. I did 4 months in jail over that and the "victims" continued to sell drugs. FYI, they attacked me, not that that mattered in court. There is more to this than I can tell you. I'll say this. It's not what you know but who you know and I don't know anyone.
