    I have a Webly Patriot made by Hatsan .177 cal. 7.9g at 3200ft elevation shooting 1112fps. I have been using Tasco AO scopes made for air rifles and they can take the crazy kick.

    The Hatsan 135 Super Magnum 💪👍. It's probably getting near 30 FPE . I highly recommend the Leapers 3-9×40ao True Hunter scope. I have had my Leapers on my Walther Parrus 22, 25 FPE springer, HW80 22, 20 FPE and now on my HW95 Luxus 22, 17 FPE with 0 problems. I got it on Amazon for 75 dollars a few years ago, now 125 dollars.
    Nice shooting open sites 🙂👍.

      @@ohshoot444 I have been watching quite a few videos of "Mike Englesworth Stepping Stone". It looks very doable. It's kind of like studying for a test, lol.
      Also, I will be getting into the trigger on the Walther Talon Magnum soon. It's basically a Hatsan 125 without the Quattro trigger. When the rifle came, the trigger was in several pieces. I looked at a couple of pictures that Big J sent me, took my time and got it all back together. I used a twist tie🪢f from a bundle of cilantro to hold it all together, lol. Very redneck, lol. I plan on taking the trigger fully apart and making a video. I basically want to clean it up, put molly on all the moving parts and put it back together. My piston seal should be coming within the next few days. I will be very ready to get back after my Hatsan 95 22 also. I believe I will do a pellet to boar test when I get the breach seal's in. I should have done that already, but the patches that I ran through it felt very tight. I know that's not the right test though.

    The Hatsan Optima 3-9x40 is a reasonably priced air gun scope that can take the recoil of high power nitro piston and spring guns. I have one for my Hatsan Proxima. One thing, though. It'll come with dovetail rings. Get a good set of Weaver rings instead, because the piston recoil of my Proxima keeps causing it to slide on the rail, setting my zero off.

    I done sold it to you about 5 months ago my friend and I knew you would be able to get better performance out of her than I ever could. I don’t get out much shooting my Uberti 1858 new model army revolver using my Howell .45 colt cartridge conversion cylinder shooting .45 colt 200 grain cowboy loads because the spot where I was shooting for free really isn’t safe and secure so it’s risky shooting there and each time I drive the 65 miles to that spot I run the risk of it not being available because of electric company linemen being there working on the power lines or timbering crews harvesting timber or hikers or dirt bikers being out and about on the path that’s about a hundred yards behind where I usually shoot there which makes it unsafe. Plus some putz could decide to call the cops on me or the cops could hear the shots or see me with my piece as they drive by and roll up on me and give me grief but I certainly had fun with it while I could this past fall in a few shooting sessions putting about a box of ammo through her. I got one unopened box of ammo left that I’m saving because getting more involves a nearly 300 mile one way trip and that’s if it’s available which is iffy and if it’s available a couple of boxes of HSM .45 colt 200 grain cowboy loads costs about a hundred bucks which I really can’t afford and in my basement apt in the city I’m unable to reload

    • @ohshoot444

    • @Matzah1982
      @Matzah1982 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I never got much into the air pistols but I know some of them shoot pellets and have a break barrel action and put out up to about 10 foot pounds of energy with .22 pellets so they are something I could shoot in my basement apt at close range like say 5 yards at a cardboard box that’s stuffed with newspapers. I’m not a big fan of ranges and in the state that I live in they are over regulated plus I love to shoot cantaloupes but a lot of ranges even in states that are less regulated have rules that require paper or metal targets only. Plus as I said getting more ammo is iffy and very expensive and joining ranges is very expensive too

  • @kenfan5666
    @kenfan5666 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Hey Travis, Great video, great shooting!
    That Hatsan is beautiful. The stock is really nicely finished.
    My understanding is that the BSA OUTLOOK 3-9x40 AO is supposed to be a bit beefed up compared to the older Gamo airgun scopes and able to handle the double magnum recoil of a Gamo Swarm Magnum Gen 2 in .22, so it should be able to handle the Hatsan 135 in .25.
    The Gamo Swarm Magnum Gen 2 is putting out about 27 fpe and is a synthetic stock. Your Hatsan with the walnut stock should absorb some of the recoil. Do you know what the fpe is?
    Stay Safe. Be Well. GOD BLESS.

      The bsa outlook I have in 3-9 is the best airgun scope I have. I would hate to put it on there. Maybe I could get a second one and put the used one on there. It’s been on my fury for a long time and I think it’ll go on my Diana in 22 if/when I get a Vortek kit for it.

      @@ohshoot444 Hey Travis, I saw a lot of good reviews on the BSA OUTLOOK 3-9X40 AO scopes and was also concerned that it wasn't going to last because the magnum double recoil would be too much for it to withstand. But I ended up buying four because I spoke with the manager at Gamo Customer Service. I forgot her name, but she was very helpful. She said that the BSA OUTLOOK 3-9X40 AO scopes have a good warranty. So if you have one make sure you register it and read all your warranty information. Also, make sure you Identify yourself as a TH-camr. Maybe they will help sponsor you. I think that it is only smart advertising to have an independent TH-camr review your product. Just my $.02.

Believe it or not I have a CVlife 6-24 cheapo scope on it, and it has at least held up for 200 shots or so. Not really a gun you sit and shoot 50 times very often, so the scope hasnt seen a ton of shots. Big problem with these was the original vortex pistons often fail.
