I noticed inside of the hatsan 135 .30cal there is a PCP style port near the rear of the compression tube.. over the trigger assembly that a PCP fill probe goes into that allowed me to pump up the gas ram to 200BAR! the FPS went from the factory 555fps to .. now the 44.75 grain pellets fly at 610fps... Almost 37FPE! On PA's calculator.. but the cocking effort is definitely increased.
It's now worth taking out hunting medium sized game out to 75yards.

Yes these are nice. Hatsan is very good quality. The 22cal version in this seems to be the best model in this version. The power gas ram vortex is the same but pushes the right amount of air for a 22cal. Which creates a little more penetration. The 177 cal is insane in this model and shoots nearly 1600fps! @@CaliAir I Love it, I got the wood stock and oil it with Old English every day, I just mounted a new scope and sighted it in today. I set up a target across the yard, about 30 yards, with several solid blocks of walnut as backstop. I am not going to kill anything and just have it set up like a range for target practice where I shoot from inside my bedroom, out the window and across the yard. This will make a lot more sense when you realize where I am, Central Wisconsin on the Mississippi River side, meaning, it get's very cold for 6 months out of the year. I should be nice and toasty as I keep my target shooting in practice. :o)

Very hefty powerful air gun that really tears up that little can with that massive pellet. You’re getting about 27 to 30 foot pounds of energy with that. I enjoy shooting my Diana model 34 classic .22 air rifle using open sights shooting H&N 16 grain hornet pellets out of it from that same 20 yard distance. I’m getting about 15 to 18 foot pounds of energy from mine so about 40% less than your gun gets and I also got my gun and pellets from pyramyd air. I have a few videos on my channel of me shooting my gun and my most recent video made 2 weeks ago is of me shooting a small sugar pumpkin from that same 20 yard distance. I fired 5 shots and hit all 5 within a 3 inch center mass group which is how I usually group with it. The recent video just shows my first shot though and then me smashing the shot up pumpkin afterwards

I'd be interested to see how this is with the nitro piston and the heavier projectile compared to the benjamin .22 break barrel that I had for a while. I could not make that one shoot accurately to save my life, nor the break barrel I bought used before that one. I took it back and bought a CO2 powered Crossman 1077 and I can put pellets on top of each other 9 times out of 10 with that one at 25 yards. The break barrels are just too hard on optics. They won't stay true from shot to shot.

I am super disappointed in my Hatsan 135 carnivore, I bought the Hatsan vortex brand 30 cal pellet's, and out of 3 tins none of them fit, they all stick out of the chamber by almost 1/8" and then have to be pressed using a dowel the rest of the way in. SO either all 3 tins of pellets are bad and way oversized or the gun has a undersized chamber, when i take a mic to the pellets they are measuring .305 and some as large as .311 but none of them even the smallest i can find which average .305 fit into the gun, and by pressing them in it distorts the skirts so bad it leaves thin lead around the rubber breech seal. Hatsan hasnt replied to my email about this is and its been 2 weeks now. I have JSB 30 cal pellets coming so I can finally determine if its a pellet or a gun issue.

Ouch...this gun is better than this. Remove you scope covers first when shooting anything and remove the rear scope ring (completely off scope and rail) leaving only the one front mounted to the scope. Move the whole scope back placing that front ring in that rear picatinny slot. Now you will have proper eye relief to pick anything off. Adjust cheek weld slightly.
