why not put velcro on the front ti have the pouches be removable and have modular vest. Also if the pockets were open-able with velcro on the strap it would be nicer.

Actually the fabric I used was from my old backpack it comes with waterproof..if you could find fabric like that it doesn't fray.

It's called "all fix" you can also use any glue which is quick adhesive

Cutting off the little flag on the tag was clever… if you don’t have access to that you could print little logos with your computer and glue to some black fabric and clear coat
