    I imagine that the Tylosaurus died of starvation, as it's cage door was closed by the group when they escaped. If it somehow survived on Isla Nublar, it would surely die from the eruption of Mount Sibo.

    • @crypto1223
      @crypto1223 6 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      How would the eruption of a volcano kill it? And why do you think it would stick around the island after finding a way through the gate?

    • @theultracarnosaur5193
      @theultracarnosaur5193 6 ปีที่แล้ว +65

      crypto1223 for all we know, Mount Sibo might have had underwater magma pockets that could’ve exploded during the eruption. Plus we don’t see it escape and the group close the gate when they escape it.

    • @crypto1223

      TheUltraCarnosaur Just because we don’t see it. Doesn’t mean it couldn’t have happened. And wouldn’t the thing notice something off about its environment and high tail it out?

      crypto1223 when a volcano erupts any pockets of water around it including ocean especially on a small island with such a large mountain like Mount Sibo, and we know there was magma pockets all over the island since it was ran on geothermal power would make the water boil literally and everything in it, just dies. That's how hot it gets. Ever seen Dante's Peak that's a good example when they're huge ass Lake starts to boil pretty much turns into acid, volcanoes have a tremendous power when it comes to their effects on everything else around them including the weather.

    I think Jurassic Park The Game definitely deserves a live action movie, i can only imagine how scary the Tylosaurus and Troodon scenes would be on the big screen.
    I don't know if anyone has herd about this musician, does anyone know BrachioIngen? I used to talk to the guy and even requested that he would orchestrate the ost for my JP fan movie. I would recommend him as the musician for the fan game but i don't know if he's still active on TH-cam, i haven't herd from him in years since i put my project on hold and still currently stuck in development hell.

    I had this theory that the Tylosaur somehow survived all those years and was secretly advertised as the Mosasaur in Jurassic World. The big fins with the Osteoderms were to protect young Tylosaurs and the stripes were to help it blend in to its environment as a young one. And it's teeth were still growing in.

    • @frankg2790
      @frankg2790 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      LeKyubi75 A secret from the public, and the group of people he invited to the island. The work crews and engineers had to of known about it.

      So either there’s is an ultra secret team working for Batman that he nor Alfred ever mention even in private. Or there’s hundreds if not thousands of graves filled with people whom “disappeared” or had an accident shortly after taking a contract at wayne manor.

    • @Monsterman1315
      @Monsterman1315 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I believe it’s because when InGen was making its dinosaurs, they had no idea what species they were actually creating until whatever they made hatched out of its egg. Tylosaurus shares quite a few similarities with Mosasaurus, so perhaps the InGen thought they had made a Mosasaur at the time. However, when the Masrani people came in and performed more “refined” dino creating, perhaps they realized that these two creatures were different hence the change was made. This has been my take on the situation. Thank you for reading.

      It's loose canon, in the sense that a version of the game's events happened in canon, but those canon events may have slight differences from those depicted in the game. Basically these events happened, but established film canon overrides game canon whenever there's a conflict. (i.e. Gerry's appearance)

    If the Tylosaur entered open waters it would simply die due to the Lysine dependancy, no? They explained the dinosaurs seeking out lysine rich foods to keep themselves alive on Sorna, and in JP:The Game they add a large amount of lysine into the water supply to sustain the dinosaurs on Nublar yeah? (Havent played the game going on what I've read). What source of Lysine would it get if it left for open waters? It would probably be bound to Nublar simply due to needing said lysine rich waters.

      though if going for only what has been stated in the movies i can not find anything that directs it is not a complete fail except for the animals in isla sorna surviving and somehow rexy also being alive also kinda raising questions, i can also not find anything that says thise lysine safeguard was ever a succes.

    • @Shadowrudude
      @Shadowrudude 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      13thmistral in Telltale Games' Jurassic Park: The Game Dr.Sorkin makes sure that an adequate supply of lysine to the water supply on Nublar as I stated in the original comment. That explains why Nublars animals didn't die after park staff stopped tending to them, and the game has become incorporated into canon more and more over time. Idk if its mentioned in the films but in Crichtons novels they do discuss the dinosaurs on Sorna (and the mainland) having incorporated lysine rich foods into their diet to keep them alive. While that itself isn't mentioned in film canon the lysine contingency IS brought up in the first film which means it has to be how the animals survived on Film Sorna, cuz the animals bred on Sorna were for the park so it would make sense they all had said contingency in their genes.

    Speaking of aquatic dinosaurs: Do you think there's any chance the surviving dinosaurs of Nublar swam home to Sorna after diving off that cliff into the water? Life finds a way, after all... and since the dinos were hatched on Sorna, I feel like they may have some instinct to return there after Mt. Sibo's eruption.

    Based off its appearance, Id estimate they filled in the gaps in its DNA using alligator, Orca, and marine iguana dna. It would explain some of the color patterns, the pebbeled appearance of some of the scales as well as the back spines, the incredible jaw strength, intelligence, and the shape of its short snouted skull. It would also make this thing the apex predator of the ocean and one of my absolute worst nightmares.

    For those people wondering why the InGen scientists called the Tylosaurus a “Mosasaurus,” I may have an explanation for you:
    I believe it’s because when InGen was making its dinosaurs, they had no idea what species they were actually creating until whatever they made hatched out of its egg. Tylosaurus shares quite a few similarities with Mosasaurus, so perhaps the InGen thought they had made a Mosasaur at the time. However, when the Masrani people came in and performed more “refined” dino creating, perhaps they realized that these two creatures were different hence the change was made. This has been my take on the situation. Thank you for reading.
    Not to mention I believe Tylosaurus is part of the Mosasaurid family tree, so like I said, they both look very similar to each other, so they’re could’ve been a mixup. I don’t know. I think my first idea is better.

    I see only one of two scenarios
    Scenario 1: The game is no longer cannon after Jurassic World changed the story of Nublar
    Scenario 2: It's the same mosasaurus from Jurassic world, possibly younger, hence the different appearance, and was present in Jurassic Park 22 years before the events of Jurassic World.
    I can't otherwise see a scenario where this first animal would be cannon when Masrani Corporation built the mosasaur in 2005 "which seemed to cinematically indicate it was the first time it would have happened".
    I can't see a situation where a second creature was invented over 20 years before the events of Jurassic world without Masrani Corps' knowledge.
    Jurassic World took elements from the game, such as the Jurassic World website containing info about Nima's tribe, as well as the lagoon on Nublar, and the mosasaur itself. I just think they rebooted and amalgamated the idea's origins into Jurassic World.
    To say otherwise would be about as credible as the far fetched ideas of the expanded universe, such as Robert Muldoon surviving the raptor attack, or Peter Ludlow surviving the Baby T. Rex attack.
    But personally, I'd rather both the game's Tylosaurus and the newer mosasaurus still be cannon, and I'd love for the older Tylosaurus to make an appearance.

    We found out in in The Lost World that the herbivores thrived on lysine rich foods and the carnivores thrived on the herbivores.
    If the Tylosaurus was also bred with a lysine deficiency and didn't have a sufficient lysine supply after leaving the island it could have migrated further from Nublar and eventually died.

    In the lost world, it is established that dinos need a supply of sustenance (I can’t remember the name of it) to survive

    The tylo being a aquatic species would not have a place in that ecosystem and therefore no way of getting that sustenance and die

    I have a question, if "Jurassic Park: The Game" is truly canon, If what muldoon said was true & that "The Big One" killed all but 2 of the other raptors, then where did the other raptors from the game come from?
    A pack secretly raised in the quarantine zone by Dr. Sorkin?
    A pack that have secretly lived in the wilds of Nublar, like the dino nests Alan & the kids discovered on their way to the visitor center?
    Also, where did the compies & Pteranodons come from in the game? Seeing as we didn't see the compies in film, were they hiding the whole time?
    And the Pteranodons just come out of nowhere, looking like the ones from JP3, but those Pteranodons were still trapped in their aviary?

    Wait, so all these different JP games are movie canon??? If that’s so, I think it’s pretty clear this Tylo is long dead, or somehow still alive while still totally contained. There’s no way a giant creature that would be feeding on whales and other large animals, would be able to stay hidden. Look at the Mosasaurus, afterall...it’s barely been released and already been seen, and been attacking people and boats and such! I’m not going to get all into the apparent, but still pretty much definitive, lifestyle and habits mosasaurs had in real life, but we can suffice it to say that there’s no way it could, or WOULD stay hidden for over 15 years in the wild.
