A slot token specifies what item to craft. If you have a seconday slot token, you can use it to craft a secondary weapon, provided you have a class token and a scrap metal.
@Noremac9000 the halo, the bill's hat, the alien swarm parasite, the ghastly gibus, or the middly disturbing hat do not count as normal hats, therefore they cannot be crafted with others
of course, I only have 2 hats (fro and bonk helm). I wouldn't mind using up the fro, but I wanna keep the bonk helmet. I have shit luck when it comes to getting hats, so I guess I'll have to do things the old fashion way. :(

@fiskefyren at least valve finally had the nerve to add bots and another problem im having is whenever i play offline with unlockables they suddenly cannot be equiped after a while

I had about 9 camera beards by the time they patched the drop rate.
I managed to get the demoman's fro, the fire helm and 2 other less exciting ones.
I really want an engineer hat specifically but you can't create a class token yet.

Mix a class token and 4 refined metal and you get a new hat belonging to the class the token was from.

Yes, but the resulting hat will be non-tradable, meaning any hats that are worth a ton that you get with crafting are wear-only.

But, I tried camerabeard and autobonk.. didnt work.
