I am going to upgrade from my quest 2 to the G2 V2 soon. Right now I have my AMS2 running at 120fps at max resolution with the 4080. Its amazing, even at night it runs 120fps. The compression is still there slightly though. Idk. is 120fps worth dealing with a little compression? I think it might be

Why the latency is so low with G2 😮 which compared to the pico4

When you have a Displayport headset then it only needs to generate the frame. When you have a wireless headset like a Pico or Quest you have to generate the frame, compress it to a smaller lower quality image, send it down a USB cable or over a wifi signal to the headset where the headset then has to decode it and turn it back into an image.
This is why I won't go near wireless headsets.

What this doent show are the God rays all over the crap Fresnel lenses. Deluding yourself is one thing deluding the res t of us is something different.

I don't recall the god rays being bad on the G2 v2. I do on the Samsung Odyssey and HTC Vive though. I have owned 3x headsets with Pancake lenses though and sold them all within 6 months.

@@wickfut-racing The Q3 with Virtual Desktop is a fantastic VR experience. VDXR is a magic implementation of OpenXR, lol. Better than I thought possible with basically the same res as the G2. Not perfect but closer than I thought before I tried it. When I think of how many hours I had to struggle with G2 in DCS/MSFS20/ACC/ATS and with the Q3 it was much easier to get much better results with the same computer.
