I never knew there was a Django version of this, amazing. If anyone discovered the Patrick Bartley alto sax solo that sent a lot of players wild a few months ago (incredible solo), you'll definitely recognise a lot of what he plays is mimicking the playing style of Stéphane Grappelli (the guy on violin here) -- I already thought this but now I've actually heard Grappelli playing on this song, Bartley is quoting him directly which is super cool!
no lo habia visto de esa manera, y te encuentro toda la razon, la forma wn la que patrick toca el solo es bastante siimilar. graciias por hacerme darme cuenra
I gotta say this man another reason why django was so great. You listen to his solos hes always breathing between licks and ideas just like a horn or woodwind player. Fucking 'gypsy jazz' guitarists just shredding a million notes per second.. missing the point if you ask me

It's amazing how Django could play such complex guitar parts with only having the use of two of his fingers on his fretting hand.
A demon was inside of him playing, not a bad thing tho, the devil loves music
Bruh there's this thing called practicing
two fingers less is a low price to save your child
It’s like it’s been sped up 200% and they are tight as a button
00:02 & 00:28 that's Grappelli's lick
Django Reinhardt has a swing on his rythmic guitare that goes right in and makes my brain swing with him. So pleasant so great
Someday, when you grow lonely, your heart will break like mine, you'll want me only... 🎶
quelle ambiance et quels talents tous ces musiciens !!
Vocals: Freddy Taylor

Django le meilleur king of jazz manouche
best version imo
I like Bobby Darin's better. The pace and interpretation there are just unparalleled.
