Sitting in my living room in Peru on a cool afternoon with my 4-month old listening to this, it's raining...but not quite tranquil with a backhoe working 10 feet away. Thanks for uploading - this music makes one feel better!
This is just what I needed. I love music from the '30s, '40s and '50s. I'm inspired to put my face on, curl my hair, slip into a pretty dress (my green one with a white floral pattern), nylons, my red match stick heels, my Granny's pearls and dance with my husband when he gets home. Thank you for sharing this!
My father was always into his big band music, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller etc. My Uncle was into similar music. When ever we went around my Uncle's house say at Christmas, this sort of music was always played, not to loud but not to quiet. Just there. This music is just so warming. Thank you.
I remember dancing with my Mom and our idols to these very tunes while sliding down the slide at the Trocadero! The Late Late Show was the best! I remember being crushed when my mom told me these were just memories now...Enjoy

After WWII my dad came home from the Navy with stacks of 78's he played over the in-house sound system on the Aircraft carrier. This was the sound!!
