Victoria puts a dagger on Suleiman's throat and gets so close getting her husband's revenge.

Sultan Suleiman learns that Victoria is the assassin that Lajos sent there. He will ask for an explanation from İbrahim who's taken Victoria to harem his own. Meanwhile Matrakçı waits İbrahim Pasha to bring Sadıka to marry with him without knowing anything. Sultan Suleiman finds out Matrakçı is the person who has brought Victoria to İbrahim Pasha.
Sultan Suleiman is determined to punish Lajos immediately who has dared to kill him. He gathers the council and declares his decision to have campaign to Buda.
Hürrem hates İbrahim even more now. She blames Nigar to betray her who get involved in İbrahim's evil plans. Nigar loses Hürrem's trust. Will Nigar, who doesn't have someone to protect her after Hürrem in palace, be able to make Hürrem to forgive her?
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

I noticed in the later seasons (especially after hurrem died) Suleiman didn't sing when naming the children. Love that detail of how there was literally NO joy for him after she past.😭
He wasn't singing, he was making Azan, it's tradition in Islam before naming the newborn the father makes the azan in his right ear and says his name 3 times afterwards 😊

But when Hurrem got married to Suleiman, they felt the need to give her the title Sultan, and thus the culture of having "Sultan(a)" as a title for concubines begun. Some Hurrem fans love to victimize Hurrem for everything without having any knowledge. Also important to note that, "Sultan" is not a surname, it's a title, if it was a surname no one except Princes, Princesses and the Emperor would have the name because in Islam it's illegal to have the surname of anyother bloodline, so Valide, Haseki and Hanim Sultans wouldn't be "Sultan" if it was a name.

In REAL history Hurrem had SO much power that she never needed to play such dirty games or kill her darlings. And She even had MORE power than Ibrahim, - the one who never tried to fight Her, was very prominent, but only a servant of the Empire (and most likely he was secretly in love with Hurrem). :)

And her involvement in his death were just rumors, made after her own death. But them being enemies is always in any movie/book/show about Hurrem. So I think these writers made it more reasonable for her to hate him

Child mortality was extreamly high back then suleiman lost many sons who weren't showen in this serie mostly due to smallpox having one kid is so risky and this was the main reason behind the harem to produce as many sons as possible because many will die before puberty not to mention theire was no birth controle either and abortion was deadly

It was necessary to have as many children as possible, but they did bring up plenty of times that there was only supposed to be one son per concubine. This was to prevent any one woman from having too much power. It's also why Ottoman rulers did not tend to marry princesses or women of noble birth. They chose concubines who had no money, no wealthy family, and no connections, so that power was kept with the ruler. Of course, women at this time started becoming increasingly powerful anyway.
But the series definitely just glossed over the fact that fratricide was common. Suleiman happened to be the last son standing. It got particularly bad after Selim's rule though. Hence, the beginning of the Kosem series.
