    Acceleration = Force/Mass.

    TLX jumps earliers because of AWD, as soon as Accord has enough traction, being FWD becomes an advantage for Accord because of powertrain losses in the TLX.

      The TLX's additional 20hp and 7lb-ft is negated by the additional 500+ lbs curb weight, not to mention the additional drivetrain losses that come with SH-AWD. While the TLX is dynamically better in handling than the Accord thanks to the double-wishbone suspension and torque-vectoring rear axle, neither of those help with acceleration and actually make the car heavier. Earlier this year, I sold my '16 TLX V6 Advance and purchased a '20 Honda Accord Touring 2.0T. I loved my TLX and love my Accord too. To me, even though the Accord may be faster, it doesn't necessarily feel faster. The growl and grunt of the V6 certainly had a more powerful feel to it. While I am thoroughly enjoying my 2.0T Accord, I do miss some of the intangibles that the Acura brand offers along with the more premium feel. I want to get back into a TLX probably sometime in mid or late '22. However, I don't think the TLX 2.0T will satisfy me. I would definitely go with the Type S at this point. I know it won't be the fastest in its segment but it will be plenty to please me. The only thing that might throw a wrench in my plans is seeing what Honda is going to do with the '23 redesign of the Accord. If they juice up the power and performance on the Accord, say to match or exceed some of the latest offerings by Kia & Hyundai, it might be enough to persuade me to stay with the Honda nameplate. Otherwise, there will be a '22 Type S in my garage sometime next year.

      For the car enthusiast, which most of us are, once one establishes performance superiority over the other, we question the value of the features you refer to. If you can only have one car, your choices get tougher.

    A FWD TLX might have been a bit closer but that turned out as expected. The TLX is a heavy beast. I actually considered the Accord Touring prior to opting for my A-Spec FWD. (I'm sure Honda corporate doesn't want to hear that.) Drag racing not withstanding, the TLX is a nicer ride overall and makes up for it when it comes to handling. That said, mad respect for the Accord 2.0T; as it punches above it's weight, I'm interested in seeing how it stands up to the TLX Type S. I bet the difference is not that great.

      @@SamCarLegion Interesting decision by Honda but, I suppose it makes sense north of the border. (I'm am surprised that they wouldn't at least offer an entry level base model 2.0T up there.) Anyway my FWD is about a 'half step or so' behind my old 19 TLX 3.5 PAWS (base), which itself was roughly as quick as a stock Accord 2.0T. Great videos, keep up the good work.

      I wouldn't get the Accord with the 1.5 liter turbo engine though. That engine had oil delusion problems in the past. Honda may have addressed this issue already but I still don't trust that engine in the long run.
