I'm surprised that it only took an exhaust for the TLX to virtually match the Stinger. I wonder if that suggests that the Type S' exhaust is unusually restrictive. This is might be old-fashioned Honda conservatism at work where tuning and emissions are concerned.
Put a it’s not just a “exhuast” it’s full catless downpipes straight through. Put a turboback exhaust on stinger and the gap will go back to schoolbus. Every car in the segment has a restrictive exhuast.

I can tell you that the advertised power is no joke. Keep in mind it's 300 WHP to a FWD car. Phearable stage 3 on the dyno when I ran it was only like 267whp. I keep seeing different numbers. Add flex fuel to the accord and both the tlx and stinger get walked. Add a tune to the tlx or stinger and the accord gets left behind.
@@jeffbaker2267 comparing Dyno numbers makes it hard to prove anything since they read differently. Mustang dynos read lower than a Dyno jet so it's very possible a 500hp car on a Dyno jet gets smoked by a 450hp car on a mustang dyno. Real world results are always the best comparison. I always thought the Dyno numbers for the tuned Accords were a bit exaggerated and after seeing this video woth the other cars (with drivetrain loss of about 21% applied) the Accord should've won especially being lighter.
Sadly, it's hauling around too much weight and that handicap is it's real issue. If it was 600 lbs lighter, it would embarrass the Stinger. The extra weight is going to decrease the value of every performance mod. Additionally, the car needed about 40 or 50 more HP from the factory to be up-to-date with the competition. Mercedes makes more HP out of a 4 cylinder.

Before COVID, I got my CPO, 13K mile 2018 Stinger GT AWD for $29500. The Acura is pushing 60k new and 50k used. Now the market is messed up, but still, Genesis/Stinger is the way to go. For Acura money, you're better off getting an M340.
Prediction: Accord is tuned, so it will win.
Outcome: Nope. Stinger won. That Accord kept up, though, considering that it is a class below the other 2.
If the accord was full bolt on it might be a different outcome for the TLX. I think it would be pass the tlx by s good bit considering how it did on the 30 roll

Turbo cars really benefit from a full catless exhaust like this one has and that's why. Love the sound
Wow! The accord was tuned, Stinger is fast but of course I still gotta go with type s for looks of course it's because I have one. Good race
The TLX has a full turboback exhaust (catless downpipes with straighpipes after that) should get atleast 30-40whp. That’s why it kept up better with stinger. Idk what’s going on with Accord I thought it would do better ona roll. Also the gt2 awd stinger weighs basically the same as Type s about 4150. Only the base 3.3tt AWD GT weigh just over 4000lbs. They don’t make that trim anymore though.
This race is exactly what I was wondering! Thank you 🙌
I'm surprised that it only took an exhaust for the TLX to virtually match the Stinger.
Right on, its like the stock jdm ep3 n dc5, the stock exhaust's see a difference in 10-15hp. As with ALL models, stock exhausts choke the engine in essence, crucial 1st mods should always be induction n full exhaust systems, mahoosive difference

The Accord's "avertised horsepower" was a joke and was smoked . The Acura was better but beat like a rug . All hail the new king Stinger !!! Good race Sam !!!
I can tell you that the advertised power is no joke. Keep in mind it's 300 WHP to a FWD car.
I have a 2.0T myself and when it was stock it would fight for traction from a dig, by tuning it you're only making it worse
You'd need to do way more than just higher your HP/torque numbers to be able to put that power down on the road
Seems the accord has an off the shelf “300” hp tune and no tire set up to back it up
Ive beaten a stinger on a roll race before. On ktuner stage 2 running e45, stock turbo & indy 500 tires.
JB4 tune the stinger it’s a whole new animal. Definitely impressed with the top end on the Stinger
Once performance mods start being released for the Type S, that thing is gonna be absolutely demonic 🤤
it's pathetic, getting beat by the older, cheaper stinger, the stinger is demonic, not the overpriced tlx type s mate.
@@larrystookey2545 yeah it's lame and price SUCKS, they're charging near m340i money which gets you the legendary B58(ultimate tuner motor, 500WHP with e85 and two bolt ons) and it's way faster..
