It's funny that a bass player playing anything other than some simple cheesy groove gets so much attention because most cant do anything beyond that. "Hey! This player approaches a guitar player's skill! How cool is that!" lol Seriously though. He did kill it.

Richie is like that when he play or say something else the music suit the concept of the song he played flamenco in the fire song or country or R&B or even no solo and an electronic sequence on another so that's the way of a true and experienced artist Richie is one of the best in all music history maybe the best for the completeness of his game and his ARMY are global !

For my money, RK is a close 2nd to Prince for talent, musicianship, & musicality. Just so badass! And Dylan is such a dynamite bass player! Seriously, this dude should be huge and hailed as one of the great talents of the last three decades. Kotzen is so beyond the usual contrived rock we're fed nowadays; he plays SO many different styles. Great songwriting, unbelievable playing, amazing voice... it makes me sad he's so marginalized in the rock scene.
IMHO Richie is better than Prince as far as stone cold musicianship goes but I would agree that Princes musicality (better song writer hitwise) was top notch! Absolute respect to Prince RiP

I LOVE this man's brain! The lyrics that come out of it, his musical abilities, and the three of them together are amazing! I love the bass player who has mad skills as well and the drummer! I love everything about this. In my opinion, Richie does not sound like Chris Cornell.....he sounds like Richie Kotzen....rock, soul, blues, and a little jazz thrown in...his raspy voice is so not Cornell, may he Rest in Peace.

All these years been a fan of this guy he never released a bad song. Actually, he always did a flawless work. It's not different here. He is amazing! Hope that an album with Dylan and Mike doesn't be distant to become a reality. Richie Kotzen is such a god as Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix.

We all know what an amazing talent Ritchie is. No taking him for granted, that's once in a lifetime stuff right there.

This is great. In my opinion, Richie Kotzen is one of the most underrated and prolific rock singer/songwriters around. His great vocal and writing talent is often over-shadowed by his outstanding guitar playing. Not that that's a bad problem to have! It's always good to hear guitar-based music with catchy choruses.

That groove is SICK, then the melodic chorus kicks in.....WOW. He put together a killer band with this. Bass player is as in the pocket as Richie, and the drummer is mature (and smart) enough to stay out of the way of those riffs, and just play for the song.
