I get why Nuno said this song is more Aerosmithy than the other two. But it still sounds like the E X T R E M E we love ❤🤘 And the production on all three tracks is something more bands should aspire to get on their music. It's dynamic, powerfull, and crisp as fuck💪💪💪
I absolutely hate the sound of the drums on these new tracks, it’s like there’s no brightness to the sound, which is a huge shame coz the song is brilliant, but I feel like I’m missing some of the power.
Yet fans just wanted Dave back, don’t get me wrong Dave is a great stage presence and inspiration for future talents as a showman but hearing Gary ace both Dave and Sammy’s songs on live shows 🤷🏻♂️
Totally agree Gary was the best singer VH had but the fans wouldn't give him a chance. They recorded the 2nd album no one has ever heard it. It lays on the shelf at 5150 studios. Michael Anthony spoke if it and says it's a phenomenal record. He believes if it was released back then it would have been a smash hit. Then Gary would have been accepted. " Him and ED stayed close friends for years even after Gary left the band. I think Ed knew Gary was the right choice but the record company and management wanted "Dave" idk why.
What always separated Nuno from the others was how melodic his slides and bends were. Amazing player. With EVH gone, we needed someone to carry the guitar torch down the road for awhile.
Extreme keeps me feeling 20 something when I'm really 60 something. While everyone else are "rockers with walkers", these guys keep on bringing it fresh.
Every Queen, Aerosmith and Van Halen fan can spot the influences here. No other band these days can drop 3 singles back to back and have them sound so different yet SO QUINTESSENTIALLY EXTREME! These guys never disappoint! 💥🤘🏼💥
Love the harmonies. This is something that a lot of bands still attempting any subgroup of hard rock struggle to achieve; this is a solid track with a great hook. The guitar playing is untouchable as always. Everyone shines on this one. Great job guys. Thanks for keeping Extreme alive.

Holy shit. Extreme just casually drops a new video and rocks the hell out of us. I've been showing my 9 year old some 80's music and it's been the most vindicating experience. He has grown up in an age where the popular music is made "in the box" and very computerized. When I showed him music from 30 years ago, he said "Why can't music be like this still? Why doesn't everyone need to make music sound futuristic now?" He can't get enough of it.
This is the right time for a kick ass hard rock band to just show back up and give the music scene a shot of adrenaline...Nuno is and always will be in the top guitarists of all time club. All of the guys just blowing us away with good tunes and great videos that do not look lip synced.........cant wait to see them live

I am ecstatic beyond words. Not one, but two new kick ass songs released today. This is the kind of music I grew up on and it seemed like it had all but gone away, and now Extreme has brought it back with a vengeance. Consummate rocks stars, the look, the moves, the chops, the musicality, it’s all there. These guys are the real deal!
Is it just me, or did this masterpiece just come out of nowhere?!?!?! The Riffs, the Production, the Vocals, the solos, the Melody lines, the Harmonies are just freaking insane. I put this up against some of the all time greats! The whole sound is Rock and Roll excellence. This album is gonna be a MONSTER!
This comes across as a Motley Crue wannabe, I don’t mean that in a bad way, but it’s not close to a masterpiece. Great guitar work, as usual, great vocals.
Loving this new song. Kind of a cross between Extreme and Velvet Revolver, Gary even looks like he’s borrowed his outfit from Scott Weiland. And Nuno’s guitar playing is just ridiculously good.
My thoughts exactly! It almost feels like Gary’s holding back on the vocals in this recording. But with the energy of a live performance, I think it will only sound better! And it already sounds great!

But you know, I'd say Nuno's playing stole the show from Gary that night! 😄 My parents were there with me, and they're not as well-versed in Extreme's music. But I definitely remember my mom going, "Wow!" at a few of Nuno's solos! They just announced a headlining tour, too! I'm so bummed that none of the dates will work for me! 😭 The closest show it a three hour drive from me. I would happily make that drive, but I have family stuff going on then that I can't work around. I hope they announce some more dates down the line! 🙏🏻

Not to overstate the thing, but goto about 2:45 and watch how Nuno seamlessly moves from finger tapping to flat picking at speed like it's the easiest thing in the world. It's not :) Also, Pat is a monster on bass and much like Michael Anthony in VH, a real secret weapon vocally. Love this song so much.
It took me a couple of minutes to realize these are the same guys who made More than words! Now I feel bad for not exploring their discography before. This song so powerpacked and energetic definitely gonna binge listen their whole discography now
Great song. This new album has been well worth the wait so far. Can't wait to see them live. Anyone putting out any type of music take note what a great band does. Top notch all around, quality lyrics with a purpose that make sense and are not disgusting. Pay attention to how real musicians conduct themselves and how they have remained relevant and what discipline and hard work results in. Thank you guys!
When i was a kid, it wasn't cool to like Extreme. But I definitely did. Nuno's tight guitar wizardry has captivated me ever since the first album. I'm glad the band is still going strong. Their music is a breath of fresh air!
This is a great song. My favourite this far. Immediately moving and an awesome swing. If these 3 tracks are any gauge, then this is an important album and statement that, great musicians, songwriting and performance are not dead. What a godsend. Thank you.

Yeah, watched it👍..the most epic performance i have seen, they just stole the show! Gary just dominated and in command of the crowd, one if not the greatest performance I have seen for a band, and the audience participation is breathtaking. The Queen medley is sooo captivitating. Also love the rocking "Hammer to Fall" jam of Brian May, Gary and Tomi Iomi of Black Sabbath.🤘

This is the Extreme I remember from my youth. Still powerful, still harmonic, and still kick ass! I've seen almost every interview with Nuno about EVH and I have to say that this is pure Nuno but I sure feel and hear a little Eddie in that solo. What an amazing job. My hats off to all of you. I haven’t awaited an album in over a decade. It’s killin me ! So happy this is Extremes time. The first time around they just hit a bit late for the kind of music they were playing , but I wonder if it was just meant to be that NOW when excellent musicianship and Rock music is soooo needed that here they are standing atop the heap . YES ! EVH is cheering Nuno on from the afterlife. I really hope some youngsters will be inspired by this and go back to practicing like crazy and becoming an expert and F auto tune and all that other horse s-t. Pllllleasee.
I get you.. but there is no shortage of yoing players who can shred the hell out of a guitar.. TH-cam is full of them. The problem is there is no mass rock scene like there was in the 80s. I don't think there ever will be again.. but there should be space for quality rock bands.. and the interest in Extreme's revival shows that. As for autotune.. yes, it has become a standard on studio recordings now.. and I don't like it much. Sometimes it's subtle, sometimes it's ridiculous, and they use it on everyone.. even singers who can sing fine and have nice voices.

I am ecstatic beyond words. Not one, but two new kick ass songs released today. This is the kind of music I grew up on and it seemed like it had all but gone away, and now Extreme has brought it back with a vengeance. Consummate rocks stars, the look, the moves, the chops, the musicality, it’s all there. These guys are the real deal!

Is it just me, or did this masterpiece just come out of nowhere?!?!?! The Riffs, the Production, the Vocals, the solos, the Melody lines, the Harmonies are just freaking insane. I put this up against some of the all time greats! The whole sound is Rock and Roll excellence. This album is gonna be a MONSTER!

My thoughts exactly! It almost feels like Gary’s holding back on the vocals in this recording. But with the energy of a live performance, I think it will only sound better! And it already sounds great!

@@powerbuilder1019 I'm very thankful I finally had the chance to see Extreme when they opened for Aerosmith at Fenway Park in September 2022! It was an amazing show all around!! But you know, I'd say Nuno's playing stole the show from Gary that night! 😄 My parents were there with me, and they're not as well-versed in Extreme's music. But I definitely remember my mom going, "Wow!" at a few of Nuno's solos!
They just announced a headlining tour, too! I'm so bummed that none of the dates will work for me! 😭 The closest show it a three hour drive from me. I would happily make that drive, but I have family stuff going on then that I can't work around. I hope they announce some more dates down the line! 🙏🏻

Not to overstate the thing, but goto about 2:45 and watch how Nuno seamlessly moves from finger tapping to flat picking at speed like it's the easiest thing in the world. It's not :) Also, Pat is a monster on bass and much like Michael Anthony in VH, a real secret weapon vocally. Love this song so much.
It took me a couple of minutes to realize these are the same guys who made More than words! Now I feel bad for not exploring their discography before. This song so powerpacked and energetic definitely gonna binge listen their whole discography now

When i was a kid, it wasn't cool to like Extreme. But I definitely did. Nuno's tight guitar wizardry has captivated me ever since the first album. I'm glad the band is still going strong. Their music is a breath of fresh air!

Yeah, watched it👍..the most epic performance i have seen, they just stole the show! Gary just dominated and in command of the crowd, one if not the greatest performance I have seen for a band, and the audience participation is breathtaking. The Queen medley is sooo captivitating. Also love the rocking "Hammer to Fall" jam of Brian May, Gary and Tomi Iomi of Black Sabbath.🤘

This is the Extreme I remember from my youth. Still powerful, still harmonic, and still kick ass! I've seen almost every interview with Nuno about EVH and I have to say that this is pure Nuno but I sure feel and hear a little Eddie in that solo. What an amazing job. My hats off to all of you. I haven’t awaited an album in over a decade. It’s killin me ! So happy this is Extremes time. The first time around they just hit a bit late for the kind of music they were playing , but I wonder if it was just meant to be that NOW when excellent musicianship and Rock music is soooo needed that here they are standing atop the heap . YES ! EVH is cheering Nuno on from the afterlife. I really hope some youngsters will be inspired by this and go back to practicing like crazy and becoming an expert and F auto tune and all that other horse s-t. Pllllleasee.
I get you.. but there is no shortage of yoing players who can shred the hell out of a guitar.. TH-cam is full of them. The problem is there is no mass rock scene like there was in the 80s. I don't think there ever will be again.. but there should be space for quality rock bands.. and the interest in Extreme's revival shows that. As for autotune.. yes, it has become a standard on studio recordings now.. and I don't like it much. Sometimes it's subtle, sometimes it's ridiculous, and they use it on everyone.. even singers who can sing fine and have nice voices.
