I saw three Holdens when I was in Thailand a couple of years ago - A HQ Satesman, and two VY SS Commodores. The hotel that I stayed at in Bangkok also had a picture from the 1960's in the lobby that showed about 10 HR Holdens as the hotels private cars. Made me feel proud to be Australian
I heard the VF Commodore is going on sale the same day its American Counterpart the Chevrolet SS Performance will make its NASCAR debut. Oh I was wondering will the Caprice be redesigned down the road and be called WN since the current model is called WM or no? I also look forward to seeing the SS here in America as well too.
Holden please reply aren't you going to make any new models and export it to the middle east ? because half of the people here are die-hard fans of holden vehicles Gotta love The commodore and Caprice !
We've dug through the archives, (literally) blowing dust off our old film reels to piece together some of the highlights from Holden's proud 62-year vehicle export history. cool but can we see more footage from the factory building cars in the 70s ,60s 50s please ! the 3 dislikes are ford drivers that sub holden just so they can thumb your videos down ,just shows how smart ford drivers are !
Thanks mate I was assuming that the next generation Caprice would be called WN since the cars always named like that with the previous model being called WL & the current one being called WM. Also I also hope to own one of the WM Caprices that are sold as the Caprice PPV here in America one day after its been retired from police use. I have been a fan of Holdens since 1999 when I played Need for Speed High Stakes and the HSV GTS VT Commodore being in the game.
Actually, that's not a bad idea. GM should market all brands in every country. Here in U.S.; the term Australian conveys an image of independence, tough, etc; Opel implies German efficiency. For the developing world markets needing "tough" vehicles due to roads; I think using Holden as the marketing medium would be good. Each country implies different images - good for marketing. Besides, letting Opel into U.S. might get GM money from Merkel.
When will the 100% Australian Holden / HSV cars be exported to "Left Hand Drive" countries in Europe - even rebadged as Opel/Vauxhall or Chevrolet? Why only the VXR8, Clubsport and Maloo are sold in Europe, and only available in the UK? It's hard for me to accept that GM has never had any intention to satisfy my dreams... But why? This is a terrible decision for non-Australian Holden and HSV fans around the world. Kind regards and congratulations for the new VF Commodore from Barcelona.
