    I paid about $11000.00 for my 2012 Roadster S cabriolet and I don't think that I could be any happier. It is a great little drivers car. Its fun on steroids and a real looker in all black with matching trim. Super fun car and insane in the twisties. If you find one, I recommend you purchase it. You wont be sorry. It is worth many many miles of smiles. CHEERS!!!!!!!

    Great video! Enjoyed your review and Petrol Peds so much I went out and bought one! Acceleration is phenomenal, as is the sound of the exhaust. The thrill is almost as good as my Caterham. Bring on the Summer! Many thanks for the great review.

    Must say I have been in the new John cooper works mini and it was a laugh and have also been in a new MX-5 and not going to lie I did enjoy the Mazda more. Next weekend I am going out with a friend in his dad's mercedes AMG C63 which he brought for £11,500 on a 64 plate. It is crazy what bargains you can get when you look carefully for what you want. Keep going with the videos please Damian.

    • @DamoDrives
      @DamoDrives  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would like to try the new mx 5 and see how it compares. I expect the acceleration to be slower but probably better handling as it’s rear wheel drive. The test really will be the smile factor. Thank you for the positive comments as well. Enjoy the c63

    • @blakejarrettegibbons9119
      @blakejarrettegibbons9119 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MotorSport & Dream Cars I must say having been in both standard and racing modified mx5s I do agree I think the acceleration will be less but it won't be such a problem as those cars even standard can grip so well meaning through a twisty road the mini would be struggling. But saying that they both clock out around similar top speeds so it will just come down to who is buying and personal preference

      @@DamoDrives All JCW's, one 10,000 miles, one 3,000 miles, and my weekender 30,000 miles.
      The coupe is the better drive, but the roadster is different gravy to the four-seater, no scuttle shake, I think that the bulkhead behind the driver stiffens the car just beautifully
      So coupe for October to march, roadster April to September.
      I also have a GP2 with 5,000, and a GP1 with 48,000 miles
      And of course, the obligatory RSP Mini Cooper with 25,000 miles, but I ripped the exhaust off a week ago, caught it on a gate spike at my Mum and Dad's, it looks ok, so just needs refitting, the damn thing rides so low, always catches speed bumps, which is hell as there are so many around these days.

    Well ....I have a x3m competition.....and just bought one of these as well, that is how much I enjoy driving it. So I have the luxury of both, I wanted a 911 which I drove but it's stupid expensive compared to this, and this car honestly filled my need for fun that I wanted in the 911, it's that much fun to drive, and my x3m comp, is a beast with 500hp and very high tech, but my coupe now being simple and raw with a 6 speed manual is a blast and comfortable to drive. Lots of torque even in 6 on the highway don't need to downshift to 5 or 4 surprisingly. And a used one is about 13k Canadian, tons of bang for the buck.

    • @DamoDrives
      @DamoDrives  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Since driving this I purchase a R53 (2 years ago) and that is a fun little car although not quite as well built as the new minis. Not driven the X3M but did drive the X4M but very similar except the x3M in my opinion is a better

      Np mate still a nice review :) yeah 2013 r56 jcw, manic stage 1, forge intercooler, aem ram air intake ( using the bonnet scoop ^^ ) and Ohlins dfv coilovers. Still got much more to do yet but it' getting there.

    • @DamoDrives
      @DamoDrives  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like a properly sorted car already. Good in standard form already so a modified 1 must be even better. Have reviewed a JCW with the pro kit on it as well which will be coming the channel soon 😊. Countryman Cooper next which is a completely different kettle of fish. What other plans have you for the car

    • @johntucker23
      @johntucker23 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well its currently tuned to 245bhp, it could have gone higher but i didn't want to push it over 250 until i forge the engine, next step if i stick to my plan ( i never do ) will be Lohen's Quaife LSD and flywheel package, step after that is one i was going to skip but saw another car with them on and fell in love instantly....OZ Racing Formula HLT Wheels + Tarox 10pot 2 piece brakes. I won't go into every step on my spreadsheet but I'm basically doing 1 step a year until it's complete, ultimately I would like fully forged 300-350bhp.

    It is so tough to decide between this roadster and a 2016 MX-5 ND1. MX5 has less HP and torque BUT rear wheel drive + lighter weight. The Roadster S is more rare, better exhaust BUT BMW expensive service costs. This is a 3rd car... Hmmm

    • @DamoDrives
      @DamoDrives  5 ปีที่แล้ว

  • @KCnLex
    @KCnLex 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    found a 2015, literally lost it to another buyer in minutes....now found another 2015 with only 5,000 miles and the dealer wants over 27K.....doesn't that seem like a crazy price? (starting to think I am trying to find a unicorn rather than mini or audi roadster)

    • @DamoDrives
      @DamoDrives  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Trouble is they did not make a massive number of these cars and that is really low mileage so does mean a premium. Problem with that is the reason it is 27k is it’s only done 5,000 miles so in a years time the very low mileage car as 10 ,000 miles which is low but not amazingly low so you will probably end up loosing a lot of money 😳

    • @KCnLex
      @KCnLex 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DamoDrives Yes, I figured I could watch it depreciate before my eyes. Perhaps it will be lowered in time & be a more reasonable figure as that price is more than is in the budget anyway. But I did wonder if perhaps there had been some sales which would make the high asking price not so surprising. The only comparable sold for less than 20K, but had 10 times the number of miles.
