- I can safely say that I had a lot of fun with this car over the weekend - it definitely handles like a go kart and I would happily own one of these. What would you rather... The JCW Mini or the Fiesta ST? Let me know in the comments!
Stats include a 0-60 in 6.1 seconds, 228bhp and 236 lb ft of torque. A 2.0 litre, 4 cylinder, twin-turbo charged engine.

Fantastic video. just a key point the power plant isn’t twin turbo it’s twinscroll so still a single turbo in these fantastic hatchbacks.

Just bought a car exactly like this, same colour, same interior trim, same alloys, HK also, and a 2020 🙂 Lovely car. Stepping up from my 2018 Cooper S F56, which i did a couple of 3 month trips round the Alps in over the last two years 🙂 Really looking forward to taking the JCW to the Alps next ski season 🙂

Nice review! I did pick between the ST and the F56 Mini and test drove them both. The Fiesta ST has a tighter more driver engagement chassis so if you do a lot of track driving it might be the better pick, in literary all other aspects I prefer the F56. Both mod well but the 2 litre B58 F56 CooperS/JCW sounds so much better, I also significantly prefer the ergonomics and interior materials/design in the Mini, shifting action is much better as well. Very happy with my pick but the ST is also a great hatch!
Great review you hit it just right. I had JCW hatch and lived it. The 231 is spot on as you say but had to change it for the JCW Clubman 306. That is so much more of a beast. You are right, the new digital display just is the icing on the cake.

I prefer lower HP, means you can rev it longer without ticket and savour the sound of turbo. Also anything 2020+ got it exhaust tunned down alot which is a huge shame... 2018-2019 were just the bests
I love my JCW - which I’ve had remapped to 280bhp/430nm, AC Schnitzer springs, OZ Ultraleggera Wheels with Michelin PS4. It totally transforms an already great car!
Who remapped it? How long has it been remapped for? Just wondering if its safe and reliable to do these engines thanks
@@tonyjames4942 I've had it remapped for 1 year now - everything seems fine so far **touch wood***. I've informed 300bhp is just about the reliable limit for the JCW.
It takes the fun factor up another level. Definitely recommended. Got it done by DMS.

@@adamwest5625 incorrect they are detuned as hell and same chassis as a 1 series, these motors with correct mods can achieve 400+ Bigger turbo, intake, intercooler, exhaust the car is at 3290-350whp

I have a manual 2016 JCW with the wide screen and mini yours leather seats. Honestly the best bang for buck. Remove the resonator with a straight pipe and the pops and bangs are like gun fire 🔥
Sounds like you’ve done the best thing! The newer Minis do lack the pops and bangs 🙃

Nearly bought a 2018 Cooper S today, saw a JCW beside it and paid a little more for it, glad I did. Only complaint I can think of is the Lassie presenting this vid wasn't included with it. Can't have everything, thanks for the review lovely lovely.

Just ordered my 5th mini I've had them all, I changed to a Mercedes coupe but I always find my way back to mini. Ordered a 2021 countryman Cooper s in sage green with all the extras. Roll on June 😍 Great video host is just a stunning as the car wow.

I had 2 Mini's so far in my life...a 2009 Mini Cooper S and then traded up to the 2013 JCW in Silver White Metallic...and RED everything else. 213 BHP... 6 speed! I always wanted a VW GOLF R but can't if it has no Sunroof...although it has 282 BHP and 4Motion...if you need AWD then Mini offered the Paceman, and my wife was not having that as the back seat was WAY too uncomfortable as she loves to be in the back with our pooch... so Pooch Ruled that one out.

I own a F56 JCW, I love it. Its my favourite car to date. It literally has S3 rolling straight line performance off the shelf. I've swapped the factory run flats for Michellin Pilot Sport 5s and it has endless grip now. If you fancy a stage 1 tune that will take you to 300bhp in a 1200kg car 😊. Love your reviews!
Ive done the same PS5 and stage 1 remap shocked a few people last year at Nurburing
Do you get much torque steer with the stage 1 tune? I'd imagine you would want a mechanical LSD with that extra power.
the mini f55 or f56 is shit !
i have 3 mini cooper sd f55 and f56 2015 and 2016 It's a hard and noisy car inside....on the bad roads this car sucks!

I've owned many cars and one of them was a '93 Escort cosworth with H&R suspensions it was much more comfortable and had no interior noises!
The mini F5... has a lot of parasitic noises! The car is good for someone who lives in an area with a good tarred road!

For me the Fiesta ST is a better drivers car but yep absolutely as you said the Mini is better inside and out looks wise for sure.

I’ve owed both the ST3 is a pile of cheap shite , poor build quality , lousy paint work and rattles it tits off .. Couldn’t wait to off load it and at the end of the day it’s a 1.5 engine and it shows at higher speeds ….

ST or JCW ?. Having owned both I agree the ST possibly has it on the driving but the JCW wins on everything else, styling, kit, engine sounds, Harmon X Kardon sound system. I have the pro exhaust on mine. Overall the whole package on the JCW makes it the winner for me.
I agree, as a whole package the JCW is better - I’m pleased you share the same opinion. I think the Pro Exhausts are impressive 👏🏼
A few mods on the fiesta and all of that changes. 320whp in my FiST, full 3” exhaust with a dyno tune. Turns the car into a different beast.

I’d appreciate your thoughts on whether to get the JCW Sports seats or the normal Sports seats (as some reviewers have panned the JCW seats while others seem to like them). My local Mini dealership does not have a Countryman JCW on the lot so it is not possible to compare them myself. Thank you again and best wishes on the growth of your channel.

Are you sure it's a twin turbo charged engine?
As far as my knowledge extends, its a twin-power turbo charged engine. Meaning it has one turbo that Mini happens to called it a twin-power turbo. A single turbo called a twin-power turbo.

@@gracedavies5716 There are a few girls doing car reviews but you have a soft human element often missing from others and you clearly know your stuff on BMW / Mini you need to do the same with other brands and try and get on some of the car launches. You have a better balance than most of the others. Will your employers encourage you if you move away from your franchise ? Now watched a few of your other vids, only do videos where you speak you are clearly better than you think you are. Good Luck. The Mini review is the best, use that as the way to move forward. How about reviewing the new M3/4 in a similar style.
@@geoff39gl I would love to get my hands on other brands and produce videos in a similar way, I think my biggest hurdle is being able to work with other brands as my channel is quite small at the moment. As this is a hobby that I do alongside my full time job, it is slightly easier to create videos on BMW/Mini, but hopefully a few polite emails and I may be able to get some diversity on the channel. I’d like to think my videos are getting better each time, with sound, equipment and editing improvements etc, so fingers crossed that I can keep doing what I love. Thank you again for your comments.

For what it's worth, I looked at the same 2 cars along with a few others (Golf R, S3, A35, etc.). Needless to say, there's a Clubman JCW sat outside - it's awesome
@@neilmarshall7071 I didn`t even bother looking at the others....Clubman ALL4 306 is as you say Awesome in all respects...Apart from keeping the rear end clean..Mini really needs to offer rear.. made to measure mudflaps.
Jez could you not get a proper one , a manual gear box or do they only come as automatic .
I was just lent the car for the weekend. You can get a manual and in the video I mentioned how the manual does rev matching etc.
