    I am about to drive my first rented Tesla and this video has certainly taken away the fears that I had. You are a great teacher.

    Thank you so much for this. I rented a Tesla for the first time and was in the Trader Joe’s parking lot for 15 minutes trying to figure out how to get the car back in gear and I was about to have a meltdown this saved me.

    Thank you for sharing this video. I work for Avis as a rental car driver and we had to learn how to drive the Tesla because soon that’s mostly what they’re going to have. It was a training that only lasted a couples minutes. I drove it a short distance and it was overwhelming. So I was searching for videos with the basic information I needed that I could watch in my spare time and this was really helpful. So thank you very much for sharing…

    Great video and you covered all the basics very clearly! That said, having just taken delivery of a Model 3 today, I couldn't figure out (until after i needed it) how to use the windshield wash/wipe as it didn't seem to work like any other car I've driven (mostly German or Japanese) which usually have these on the stalk that the gear selector/autopilot is now using, might be worth mentioning for Tesla newbs in a future video, before they get a dirty windshield and don't know how to clear it up 😀

    I’m not sure what happened but when I put the car in D mode and was ready to accelerate it would Not drive forward or reverse, instead it switched right away into H mode and kept giving message to put into D mode, this happened over and over for about 10mins. Annoyed not sure how, why, and how I got it to drive.
    *I think I opened and closed the door and finally was able to drive away. SMH..

    Thanks. I never drove an EV before. Planning on renting one and see how it feels. Question. How do I pay for charging an EV that I rent. Do I use a credit card etc.?

    • @Tesla11ven
      @Tesla11ven  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you're renting it off somebody you're going to want to ask them if they have their credit card attached to the car. Typically you just go to any Tesla supercharging station and plug in and the Visa gets automatically charged. I'm assuming they will forward those costs on to you.

    • @youmarc11
      @youmarc11 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Tesla11ven I meant renting from Hertz. If I pull a tesla up to a supercharger that I rented from Hertz how do I pay for the charge?

    • @Tesla11ven
      @Tesla11ven  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can't say for certain because I've never rented from a company like that, but you should probably ask at the desk because you definitely want to hit a supercharger at some point.

    • @Tesla11ven
      @Tesla11ven  ปีที่แล้ว

      Normally a visa gets charged automatically when charging, my assumption is the rental company will forward those charges to you after you return the car. You should verify with them just to be certain.
